  1. Remember first seeing him ride in the conference for cradly at Buxton some years ago and he went through the card I think.looked very impressive and was certainly one that I thought would progress, looked very stylish but he,s been so so unlucky with injuries and it's not nice to see him struggling for points.
  2. Sorry Ian,but having read all of the comments I have to agree with the other posters on this one.
  3. I personally believe also that there are now numerous factors that are not helping crowd levels. 1.cost of living.people having to pull in the reigns of how they now spend their disposable income .a night out at the speedway for two now amounting to 50 pounds plus when you factor in the cost of admission, fuel, programme, food, drink, etc 2.streaming.ad far as I,m concerned,a big shot in the foot, going on cost alone and taking away actually being there.11.99 for the stream as opposed to the cost of attending. 3.team strengths.as you rightly say, doubling up,numerous guest appearances, all contribute to the mockery of the sport. 4.entertainment And Yes,I agree that you should support your club through thick and thin but if the entertainment on show is inferior, then people are going to want more bang for their buck....human nature. There are probably more factors as well, obvious ones like length taken to complete meetings, inadequate medical cover, interest levels kept up in the event of delays between heats.kids not being able to have riders as their favourite s because they've cleared off after one season or can,t be accommodated because of the averages ruling.small things I know but large ones when you think of the whole package.
  4. So when they get out on track trying their utmost in what is a dangerous sport, they don,t care about the paying public?I wonder what the riders would think if you put that statement to them, and,by the way,if you think along those lines then why do you bother watching the sport at all, knowing they arnt one bit interested in the paying public...it,s not hard,as you keep saying.
  5. Hey,re arrange these two words "for your entertainment". End and bell...!!!!
  6. Personally I think that you're on something,so,because it,s their job and they get paid, then there shouldn,t be any spectators at meetings at all, getting entertained?take a look in the mirror pal,re- idiot.
  7. In all fairness, losing any team would hurt the sport in general.
  8. Duh,it,s a spectator sport,so whose entertainment exactly are they riding for?oooo,I didn,t realise they got paid for doing this...slappa my thigh..!!!
  9. Tell you what, you pull on a pair of kevlars and see if you can do any better......if they aren't riding for our entertainment then share your secret with us...don,t be shy.
  10. That "shower of rubbish" as you phrase it, happens to be a lot of supporters speedway team, and yes, they are struggling at the moment, but in light of the risk they take by coming out to ride week in week out for our entertainment, can't you just, for once, cut some slack for this famous club.the riders confidence will be low at the moment and the likes of your comments don,t help.do you really want to lose another club like we can really afford to at the moment?
  11. If Tobias and Adam had been on it,you,d have had no chance.
  12. Somerset are a massive miss...track generally produced excellent racing and was a staple diet for many on pairs day before the grand Prix, myself included.
  13. Just seen the highlights of the meeting on quest, great result to come initially from eight points down.the track needed to be attacked and bomber and our imperious captain Kyle certainly did that.was good to see a smile back on cookies face as well and hope that this is the springboard to an improvement in the season for him.
  14. Totally agree, cut some slack,of course you don,t want the track to close,Leicester are having problems with their track as well and even with it being done, things were still bad last night.give the promotion every chance to try and put this right for goodness sake.
  15. What on earths happened to cookie? He rides owlerton far better than this, reminds me of the t.batchelor scenario last season.
  16. Ought to bucket down and call it......lol
  17. Seriously..!!,you're easily pleased complete bore fest.
  18. Well,if you are happy to see hammerings pretty much week in week out then you,ll be a happy bunny, majority of the races sorted after bend two apart from the odd exception.
  19. One race doesn,t make a meeting though and I have to agree with fortythirtyeight on this, bends one and two were atrocious and got worse as the meeting wore on,it was only after they did some extensive grading towards the end of the meeting that it actually improved, there was passing mainly only because bend two especially was catching riders out and the amount of dust was not good either, track in my opinion, prepared for the home riders, who on that evidence last night, will go through the remainder of the season unbeaten at home.
