  1. sorry to intrude onto your site but have just been browsing your official website and couldn't help but notice that the caledonian riders championship was a meeting whereupon season tickets were not valid.at sheffield the only meetings where season tickets are not valid are b.s.p.a run events.come on Edinburgh promotion and have a little leeway to the supporters that commit there hard earned money at the start of the season and apologies if i am speaking out of turn.
  2. ticket is block L13,row 27.face value £49 inc postage but will accept £40
  3. a big welcome to nathan stoneman signed up fully as a replacement for job.all the best and well done the promotion. jack p.b
  4. hi.if anyone is interested i have a spare ticket for the cardiff g.p in block L13.if anyone is interested please reply
  5. hi.i have a spare ticket for this event.seat is block L13,row 27.if anyone is interested please reply to this post.
  6. yes the meeting was abandoned due to visibility issues and if there is light drizzle tonight around start time, whats changed.surely after all this rain over last 24 hours+ the track will be difficult at best so not sure that i want to see f.t.g every race.
  7. agree with you there spin king perhaps with the possible exception of paul stark.thought he was worth a few more than his tally suggests.heat 15 was indeed a classic which you are sometimes going to get when you have 4 "racers" in the heat.some fine racing on a well prepared surface although i still feel that 2nd bend needs sorting as has been well dodgy all season.
  8. well done to all the team today.that could well be a season defining win.to be honest the way the team rode last thursday i did expect to come away with at least a point.josh b and lass seem to have now found some decent form.josh g has been amazing yet again.13 points away from home from your number 1 should be the score to expect.and even with kyle scoring valuable points without winning a heat just goes to prove the strength in depth.a special mention and thank you to james shares for his vital contribution today.get him signed up damian before someone else does.u.t.t
  9. if you look on the abc forecast for scunthorpe it is going to be very gusty with heavy rain showers forecast between 5 & 6pm.doesnt look very promising. bbc update.bbc weather now says heavy rain at 5 and light rain shower at 6.
  10. for goodness sake on come the moaners again.totally agree with steve park.damned if you do and damned if you don't.the forecast was for more rain showers around 7.00pm and even if the meeting was on, how much of an entertaining spectacle would it have been for the supporters?i would rather see the brilliant racing that we have seen over the past few weeks than see riders struggling to put on a show and risking their own safety.
  11. fantastic result at armadale.never expected that scoreline with all the changes to the team.a big thanks to aaron summers and james sergeant and ryan for stepping in.another superb score from kyle.some great points from lass.a surprising but very welcome 3 points from todd who doesn't,rate it amongst his favourite tracks and some good points from rob.given our usual previous thrashings at armadale who, at the start of the season, would have said that we would have run them as close as we have done.i would say probably not very many.a great point picked up on the road and hopefully the same again at brough park on another track where historically we usually don't fair very well.well done the tigers.
  12. according to monarchs website no jack p.b for us tonight.any news why??
  13. well just got my breath back.firstly well done to the track staff for getting the track back to the track we all know that it can be.all of the tigers rode their socks off tonight with a special mention to todd and rob who were excellent tonight.the rest of the lads were also superb.special mention also to the monarchs who also rode very very well and the scoreline certainly did not reflect the closeness of the racing.there were not many f.t.g races at all.some of the action last night was breathtaking and i hope that the lads can reproduce that form at armadale tonight.unfortunately two guests needed tonight so a big ask but you never know.well done the tigers
  14. sorry for rob and all of the scunthorpe fans on josh auty,s announcement.if anyone thinks josh<s enthusiasm has gone then it didn't seem that way in the british semi final.after a couple of average rides he rode like a demon.just like the josh we have come to know and love.he has been an absolute icon at scunthorpe and, for whatever his decision to stop riding hope that supporters at all the clubs that josh has ridden for will appreciate his efforts in every single race that he has appeared in.josh has been a true stalwart for the scorpions and i and i would imagine all of the other speedway supporters up and down the country will remember his all action style and all of the terrific races in which he has been involved in.chin up mr godfrey and i know that you will come back fighting.best wishes in what i know will be a difficult time to find a replacement and all the best to josh in whatever he goes on to pursue.
  15. well said.i was told that on the day rob branford was stuck at a halfway house not knowing wether he would be riding at rye or for us at workington.complete farse!!! why aunt the rider doubling up situations sorted out before the season starts.an email might work or might not but knowing the antics of these governing bodies i doubt wether they would listen.good luck with the rest of your season hammer 1969
  16. what a joke.week in week out this sport shoots itself in the foot with absurd rules and regs.in its basic form its four guys going round a track for christi sake.never in all the years that i have been attending speedway matches have i come across such petty, stupid rulings.i know that riders need to earn money but for the sake of the sport, this stupid doubling up ruling needs to be brought to a stop.this never happened back in the great times of the 70,s and 80,s and the reason for my rant is that i have every sympathy for both newcastle and every other team whose promotion and supporters suffer at the hands of these ridiculous governing bodies.i,like every supporter in the country, love my speedway.it is a drug that gets you hooked from day one but is in danger of drowning itself in its own set of crazy rulings.the monarchs diamonds meeting should have been a classic with two full sides, now ruined by petty beurocracy.sorry for the long rant but i, like thousands of others, love the sport that i follow and just get frustrated by all the insane rules and regs.at the conclusion of the season the powers that be have got to take a step back and seriously consider just what is killing our sport.the crowd at sheffield last night did not look as though it was going to be anything special.ok weather may have played a part but this was two teams sitting nicely in the table with two full sides, that alone should say there is a big problem.anyway rant over and good luck to monarchs and diamonds supporters for a good, safe meeting
  17. was in the stadium at 6.30 and the rain was reasonably heavy then.could have been called off not long after that as it looked as if it was in for the night with no sign of stopping.
  18. just back from yet another professional performance from the boys.kyle was outstanding today, especially the way he seemed to catapult himself around bends 3 and 4.defied gravity at times.lasse and josh g looked very quick.josh bates was superb today, what a great supportive performance for our three heat leaders.good effort too from our two reserves especially rob shuttle worth.not sure what to make of todd.good effort in his third ride but was generally getting passed too easily.all in all thought job well done.what on earth has happened to josh duty around the ear, used to be so reliable for double figures.losing his appetite a little?just a mention for the usually great food.what on earth has happened to the famous curry sauce?it was like gnats p... today.very disappointing!!! auty around the ear.lol damn predictive typing
  19. do i detect a hint of "sour grapes" in your comment.hardley a "select" side with just one change to the team.lets be honest you didn't expect sheffield to come up and run you as close as they did and if the monarchs riders had been up for it when the track was on the greasy side for the first four or five races then your lead could have been greater but no worries because, barring any injuries, our "own" team will get the job done in the second leg.
  20. waterlogged track according to tigers website, mind you forecast for later on looks pretty grim so good call if it turns out to be the case. more info on monarchs website
  21. well.great news for us.josh bates guests for ipswich at newcastle and comes off in his second ride and has to withdraw from the meeting with a suspected hand injury.poor lad.now we will be without both joshes at edinburgh in the second leg of k.o cup obviously depending on the extent of joshes injury.if soothe way the monarchs are riding at the moment, our prospects don't seem too good.hope i am wrong as i had planned to go up for 2nd leg.
  22. well certainly a big improvement in the racing from recent weeks.seemed to be a bit more dirt on the track and maybe the bit of rain that we had helped as well.some of the races were top drawer.well done the tigers and well done peterborough for making a decent fight of it.lasse was awesome last night.kyle and josh g were also very good and well done too to the rest of the tigers.looking forward now to a good meeting with the monarchs and hope that we can keep it close for the return leg[weather permitting of course].
