Sheffield Tigers V Edinburgh Monarchs.
Moranboys replied to graz gp's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
sorry for the moan and i know that it is a good gesture of the management to do a reduced admission through the voucher in thursdays programme for the visit on sunday of the monarchs but what about doing a little something for season ticket holders also.possibly reduced admission for another person.just a thought. -
Redcar V Glasgow Thursday
Moranboys replied to RedcarB123's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
glasgow fans.dont be too downbeat on recent results.you are still a very very good side and can't expect all meetings to be won.you will definitely be in the playoffs and then its down to a shootout where absolutely anything can happen.dont get on lawson and summers backs all the time, they are very good riders and have served you well so far so get behind your team and less of the negativity for once.the play offs are going to be very exciting and can't wait until they come around.good luck to all involved. -

kyle enjoying his speedway at sheffield and most other tracks in the league at the moment.maybe a g.b call up not very far away(are you listening mr rossiter).seems to have found a new lease of life since his move. -
totally agree.and would be more than happy if we could keep most of the rest of this super side, including steady.

i think all of this bickering is getting out of hand.if it had been josh g guesting for rich lawson somewhere then i don't think that the glasgow supporters would be complaining.yes,i do agree that the whole situation regarding doubling up etc is getting out of hand but you know, to be honestly think the tactical rule is fair especially away from home where it at least keeps matches alive and interesting instead of being so one sided.maybe the rule should be kept just for the away team thus negating a little, home track advantage.just a thought.as for guests well like the third man has stated, guests have been around for a very long time and i would rather see the likes of richard lawson standing in for our own josh.g.he is good to watch and puts in the effort.on another note.can we yorkshire tigers now be stopped from topping the pile come the end of the season, barring any further injuries.we have some crucial matches coming up so could be interesting.good luck to the rest playing catch up. -
too right paulco,in fact i also agree with the rest of the posts, the problem is (and i fall into the older supporter category)is that nobody knows if there are going to be changes.ever.i,certainly,don<t want to go and watch anything else.i used to go to football as well but fell out with the sport a long time ago due to the ridiculous admission costs and the obscene amount these players were getting paid.speedway has been a massive part of my life and still is, as,i would imagine the same for hundreds of supporters up and down the country.i love everything about the sport.the fabulous supporters first and foremost, the thrill, the smell, the atmosphere etc and if all this was to end i think that i would sink into a very deep depression.seriously.my wife also would probably feel the same, so yes, i do care about the sport,as evidently, so do a lot of other people.yes i do fear greatly for this wonderfull sport of ours and apologies if i seem to be waffling on a little but the bspa and other governing bodies really do have to get together and sort out this huge mess of rules and regulations.yes i do understand that there will inevitably be injuries but these injuries are more frequent because of the amount of racing these brave people are having to do to make a living.i don't know what the answer is except maybe for a consortium to come in with a massive amount of money and take control over the running of the sport, pay the riders a more than liveable wage so that they wouldn't have more than one club.get a proper training academy up and running and for goodness sake get the sport PROPERLY promoted and run.i have been fortunate to witness a lot of terrific racing at owlerton and some racing really does make the hairs on your neck stand up.i don't want, and that includes all of you wonderfull supporters out thereto ever lose that feeling and hope that many of you would agree.

instead of whining on about peterborough releasing jack holder, mr chapman and the bspa should concentrate on the shambles that is the doubling up and guest rule especially at the leicester - k.lynn meeting where we had 4 or five guests.the meeting made a mockery of the sport and something surely has to be done close season or this sport of ours is likely to be out on its arse big style!!!

time that the fours and pairs and the plc and clerk should be at a neutral venue.the pairs ,for mesas much as i like the oak tree arena, should be at cardiff.not sure about the rest as all of the doubling up means that someone is going to have an advantage. ?? which track -

is it fair having the fours at your place? -
yes you are spot on.i heard it as clear as anything, in fact, it was mentioned several times so i don<t know either what the reason is for andre not riding.quite looking forward to this as i like to watch both adam roynan and richard hall ride.

sorry for intruding but couldn't find a thread for this.what on earth is happening to our sport.bspa now suggesting 5 man races and riders of two clubs protesting, one of which is rob godfrey,s!! pairs meeting now reduced to eight teams.i do truly fear for the sport as this season has been one shamble after another.the governing bodies really do need to get a grip or i can see a lot of supporters turning their backs on the sport altogether. -
hands off lass mate.he,s going nowhere

Sheffield V Berwick Thursday 13th July
Moranboys replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
well done to the tigers.got stuck in and dug in deep when it mattered.also well done to berwick for putting up a fight.i,for one, do like the t/r ruling as it keeps the meeting more interesting.yes, berwick would probably have been in deep doodoo without it but kept the meeting alive for them with a slim chance of picking up a point.yes, lucky to have richard lawson as a guest but we had guests last season that got us through to the play off final so no qualms there.all in all a very entertaining meeting run very efficiently by the promotion.also that georgie wood looks a fine prospect especially around owlerton(first time?).would be good to sign him if possible along with jan graversen. -

absolutely ridiculous comments."this sort of team" are still putting their necks on the line every time that they take to the track,so be grateful that at least you have a team what with all of the injuries the promotion have to contend with.its only the same now with our reserve injuries. -

Ipswich V Scunthorpe Ch 6-7-17@7-30pm
Moranboys replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
bit of a derogatory comment towards scunthorpe.all meetings should be appealing if you are a supporter.maybe when ipswich are at the e.w.r some scunthorpe supporters may miss that fixture due to it being less appealing than some other matches!!! p.s maybe if you get a decent race strip then many more matches may be appealing. -
have to agree there.as much as i like watching both of them ride, their away form has let them down badly especially rob.todd has the ability but looks pitifully slow away from owlerton.think the management have to act fast if we have any ambition about making the play offs and this could well be the turning point as to how well we do, only problem is not sure if the riders are out there to begin with.

thanks to yourself and cyclone for the explanation, it,s just that when we have had junior meetings at sheffield even at short notice, season tickets were always valid.
