  1. You can't just guess figures and attendances left, right and centre BB lol. The top boys wouldn't come over period. They simply don't need British racing. It's a mickey mouse league compared to Sweden/Poland.
  2. It's too late now anyway tbh. I'm already looking towards next year...The team is just too weak to do anything. We still need 3 changes tbh. Matt has tried his hardest to get a big name over but they're not interested in Britain.....Holder is now a no go so we might as well forget about the entire season.
  3. I agree with you 100% about dropping the Championship.
  4. It's not a case of Matt Ford and funds. No top riders apart from the regulars will ever be seen riding for a British club again. British clubs cannot afford to pay a rider treble the gate money in our case.
  5. I would keep Josh. Due to us more than likely benefiting from his average the following year.....Sack him and he may not want to ride for us again. Just get rid of Szczepaniak.
  6. BV - 3 riders double up KL - 4 riders double up Leicester - 4 riders double up Poole - 2 riders double up Rye - 4 riders double up Somerset - 4 riders double up Swindon - 4 riders double up Wolves - 4 riders double up. 29-27 Just over half of the riders in this league double up so one big league is a no go.
  7. Was trying to be. I have to be honest about the product at the same time. Year after year clubs have question marks about running the following year.
  8. I don't know but it's not a good contract according to some and promoters have lost out on the money side of things.
  9. Even though you're trolling I will respond with a constructive post. £17 isn't going to change anything overall. This post is about British Speedway only. First off let's look at the ticket pricing for a BT Sport meeting. You cannot charge those prices and expect a big turn out for a TV meeting. At the same time you cannot lower ticket prices because finances aren't good as it is. Lose lose situation. How do we make British Speedway a better product.........You can't simple as that. 1 big league doesn't work.......Not enough riders to go round.....Finances also an issue for some Championship clubs. Look at some of the team line-ups in the Championship this season. It would also weaken the product even further because the racing would be a poor watch because teams will be uneven which would result in a lot of one sided meetings. How are promoters going to bring in a bigger crowd........You cant. The average age of a Speedway fan in Britain is around about 50 because Speedway is an old sport. The older generation aren't being replaced by new fans because again it's an old sport that's on it's last knocking's in this country and the younger generation aren't interested in it. Which is a shame. You need crowd pullers in teams however clubs cannot afford crowd pullers due to finances like I said earlier. So unless clubs can pull a lot of money out of thin air and all of a sudden hundreds of new fans appear out of nowhere up and down the country. Then Speedway will not change in this country.
  10. That's the problem though. Club's cannot afford to reduce costs.........Some teams struggle financially as it is. BT's contract is no good so clubs have had to make cutbacks.....Like Poole for example with the race suits.
  11. Lisa. Wolverhampton has always had a good track......Not enjoyable for racing (My opinion).....But it's always been prepared very well and it can take a certain amount of rain. Our track is the opposite.......It's a poor track and has been for years.......Problem after problem after problem.....Our track is already damaged goods before the poor weather arrives. So things like yesterday are going to happen.
  12. Wolverhampton is a different track so that's irrelevant. No I'm not I'm just saying Shovelit said it has been BONE DRY ALL DAY. Middlo said heavy rain this morning. Other Poole fans said they were doing this at 8am or that at 9am. The day starts at midnight so Middlo could be right.....It might have rained at 2.00 am or 3.00 am and those Poole fans wouldn't know because they could have been sleeping.
  13. Could have rained at 2.00am or something and those Poole fans didn't realise because they were snoozing. Which would make Middlo's comments spot on.
  14. Day doesn't start at 9am......Only in your tiny little mind does the day start at 9am......like you say......FACT.
  15. Not my words Pirate Nick..............Straight from the Echo.
  16. If you don't like my facts then don't reply......Simple as that.
  17. In the heat of the moment when frustrated after Poole have taken a battering somewhere. See above.
  18. SHOVELIT STRIKES AGAIN! Neil Middleditch in the Bournemouth Echo. NEIL Middleditch revealed how heavy morning rain had led to the surprise postponement of Pirates’ SGB Premiership clash with Leicester tonight. He told the Daily Echo: “We had so much heavy rain this morning that the track was actually under water until about lunchtime.
  19. Wolverhampton choke job and now this......When does it end. The club is a mess at the moment. We are going nowhere this season. Just have to ride the storm and come back better next year.
  20. No. Just being honest that's all. I'm not saying both riders are rubbish. Because both of them are young and are currently in development. Just saying at this moment in time neither rider is going to do anything in the Premiership because they aren't ready for that standard of racing as of yet.
  21. Agree. But James' job was to take 2 points a meeting off opposing riders......He didn't do that and he got sacked.
  22. You're just easily offended. I was asked a question so I answered it truthfully.
