Biggest average improvers by team. Also going to throw out some names who will take a hit on there averages. BV - Biggest improver - Rohan Tungate. Craig Cook to take a hit on his average. Craig will struggle in the GP's imo and with no Championship club this year his confidence might drop especially if Rybnik drops him during the season then meeting's will also become an issue. KL - Biggest improver - Nobody. Poor side imo. Leicester - Biggest Improver - Danny King. Riding at No.3 will suit Danny. Experienced racer on all tracks expecting a good season from DK. Poole - Biggest improver - Kacper Woryna. Should put 2.5 to 3 points on his starting average. Rye House - Biggest improver - KK. Expecting KK to put 1.25 to 1.5 points on his average. He always has a good season after a bad one. Somerset - Biggest improver - Jack Holder. JD will help Jack develop next season Jack should put a point on his starting average imo. Swindon - Biggest improver - Adam Ellis. Should put half a point on his starting average. N. Morris & Bellego to take a hit on the averages if Bellego can end up with a 6.5 average then he has done well. Wolves - Biggest improver - Nobody. Really is a poor side and all of those riders will take a hit on there averages imo.

Lewis Rose needs to get fixed up otherwise he will end up having a terrible 2018 due to lack of meetings. Not going to get a ride in Poland. Reserves have to be Polish so there is only 5 spots available per week and he is bottom of the entire list with Summers.
-
I agree with Panthers89. He is a professional sportsman who has contracts in place and with the season just around the corner he shouldn't be doing these type of things. Needs to grow up and fast imo. Been nothing but a pain for Leicester and Sheffield in the off season imo. Retiring and now this.

Must admit this did make me laugh. Good banter post.

Don't see the point in race suits anyway. Cost clubs money when the spectators know what riders are riding in what race and what colour helmets your team is wearing in those races. Race suits just add a bit of bling really. Good decision by Matt Ford imo.

2018 Premiership Predictions
Mattfordfan replied to Gavan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I admire your loyalty to Somerset I really do but away from home apart from Doyle. Who would score big points and win Heats regularly? There isn't anyone. Not biased at all. Just telling you the truth that's all. Wright or Lawson aren't going to score 9 points a meeting on the road every week. Doyle needs back up like he did last year in Morris. -
Not deluded. We basically have 2 Musielak's from last season. Lets be real here you only won the league because you signed Musielak on a false average. I'm not complaining because its good business by the Robins promotion at the end of the day. Matt Ford has signed 2 poles this year like Swindon did with Musielak on false averages. Therefore we should walk the league because not only do we have 4 x No.1's but we also have two ringers on false averages. If we have to use R/R for a few weeks or a month for one of our 7 pointers. Lets say Grajczonek for example then his 4 programmed rides can be taken by B. Kurtz, C. Holder, Sundstrom and Woryna = Makes us stronger or R/R for B. Kurtz then C. Holder, Grajczonek, Sundstrom and Woryna can take his rides = Doesn't make a difference. If one of our ringers gets injured then we still have 4 x No.1's and 1 Polish ringer which is more than enough to win the league. There is no weakness we are a cut above the rest. Only Leicester would get close to us over 2 legs. Other teams can make changes I get that but they need to make 2 or 3 changes to even have a chance of making the Play-Offs let alone beating us over 2 legs. Matt Ford will have Milik or someone on standby in case one of our top 4 get injured badly anyway because he is going all out this year.

Peterborough Panthers 2018
Mattfordfan replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Panthers fans. Your team is not that bad if you think forward after the first set of GSA's come out. Grondal will be sacked after about 4 weeks because Nicholls's average will drop to 8.50 or something like that. IMO Peterborough are only one change away from becoming a top 4 side. Peterborough already have a better line-up now then 5 teams for starters. Berwick - No firepower. Doolan and Howe are past there best. Summers is not a No.1 Edinburgh - Team of reserves apart from Wells and E. Riss. Redcar - 2 riders riding in the 1-5 who have never ridden British tracks before. Also Barker and Kus as a top 2 is a weak pairing Newcastle - Terrible team. Workington - Don't have a No.1. Klindt averaged 5.68 or something like that when he last rode in the 2nd tier. Unreliable team tbh. -
Not really many have said we are a cut above the rest. Only Leicester could spoil the party for us imo. Every other team is weak in a certain department.
-
Surprised Lewis Rose hasn't signed for a Championship club. Kennett 8.30 so would fit in nicely. Don't think any other team would rip up there 1-7 at this stage.

Thanks Neil. All the best to yourself and Peterborough in 2018. -
We should walk the league really shouldn't we guys. Even if we have to use R/R at some point it wouldn't make much of a difference due to the strength in depth we have.
-
Unlucky Godfrey you come unstuck again. All the best to Scott and Eddie. Now we just need to get Max Clegg fixed up somewhere.
-
Nicholls and Bacon at Peteborough. Kennett should be heading your way.

2018 Premiership Predictions
Mattfordfan replied to Gavan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
1. Poole - Awesome team from top to bottom and if we don't win then serious questions need to be asked. 2 ringers on false averages in Woryna and Szczepaniak. C. Holder should put a point on his average. Kurtz will improve his average. Grajczonek and Sundstrom will at least hold there averages. Shanes will only improve after getting a team spot at Sheffield. 2. Leicester - Love the look of this line-up. Vaculik as the No.1. Backed up by 2 experienced HL's in Andersen and King. Pieszczek is the trump card for me. Strong reserve all season too. 3. Belle Vue - Few question marks for me but will be good for top 4. Tungate and Bewley will improve there averages. Drozdz is the key. 4. Rye House - Yes its an old aged team but I cant see Rye losing much at home all season long tbh (2 meetings tops). The new Lakeside of the top flight and I expect them to get 4th spot due to the home form. 5. Wolverhampton - Ranking Wolves just above Swindon because the reserves are better than Swindon's apart from that both teams are poor tbh. Thorssell at No.1 is a mistake. Greaves will struggle due to lack of meetings. 6. Swindon - Poor poor side. Morris and Bellego will not hold there averages. Davey is no good. Batchelor is unreliable. Too much pressure on Wajtknecht who should be the No.7 and not No.6. Ellis and Musielak could improve there averages but that's about it tbh. 7. Somerset - 1 man team tbh apart from Doyle you cant see where the Heat wins are going to come from away from home. 8. King's Lynn - Rubbish tbh. NKI great signing but apart from that Lynn have Lambert who doesn't want to be there and then a bunch of 5.00 pointers with no 3rd Heat Leader. -
Peterborough Panthers 2018

My thoughts. Kennett will be off to Newcastle. Nicholls to Peterborough. Grondal will be sacked before turning a wheel in order to get a 2nd string in and Lambert at reserve. 1. Nicholls 2. 5.76 - Kasper Lykke Nielsen, Bradley Wilson-Dean, New Danish rider maybe. 3. Palm-Toft 4. Lunna 5. Ostergaard 6. Lambert 7. Bacon -
I know. Jye improved last season for Berwick. The year before that he was shocking for Edinburgh
-
Can we just have the title now please. Only team who gets close to ours is Leicester.
-
Don't rate this BV team. Drodz will struggle. Etheridge needed a season in the 2nd tier to get use to the away tracks. Could be the same regarding the top tier. Will lose the scoring power of Bewley at reserve very quickly when he moves up into the 1-5. Top end isn't exactly that strong either when you look at other teams.

Wasn't meant to be a reply to you. I quoted 2 posts at the same time but for some reason half of the post and reply is missing lol. My reply to you was about P+P starting at 18:00. Normally a lunchtime start. Maybe the riders requested a later start seeing as the track is normally poor at that time. Now to Starman lol. Good to see you back and I hope all is well.
-
Good to see you back. Hope all is well.
-
You are delusional. Sundstrom and Woryna vs J. Holder and Newman. Probably as one sided as it gets. Sundstrom and Woryna miles ahead. Szczepaniak is better than Klindt Grajczonek and Noddy vs KK and Andersen. 50/50

Brilliant news. Fantastic team well done Matt Ford and co.

Pirates news imminent. Hope the Poles have relaxed.
