If Kasper is 5.2 for Sheffield does that mean he is 3.46 for King's Lynn (5.2 divided by 1.5) ?
-
Anyone know what average Kasper comes into the team on?
-
Yes I believe if the team is much as predicted it is too great a range to go from 8.90 for your first heat leader to 6.57 (Proctor) as your second heat leader. No other team (Ipswich not known) has such a great differential. It might be good in the early heats where we do not have a weak reserve, however at the critical time of heats 13 and 15 all the good work could ultimately be undone.
-
Yes agree a bit of tweaking maybe required. Auty finished with an average of 4.72 at Leicester so even with the 2.5% reduction his revised average would be 4.60 meaning he would not fit with the team mentioned above. Any other ideas?
-
I can envisage the team being the following R Lambert 8.90 (2.5% allowance) Ty Proctor 6.67 E Riss 6.08 T Jorgensen 6.07 MPT 5.36 L Kerr 5.36 (2.5% allowance) K Andersen 4.00 Total 42.44 This team would struggle especially in heats 13 & 15 away from home.

I think the crux of the problem is that we have so much negativity already and we haven't even announced the team yet. Similar problem last year and we didn't fare so badly did we?
-
Just throwing in the fact that I find it hard to take comments seriously when people (Haza) cannot even get the grammar correct SUITES which should be SUITS and YOUR which should be YOU'RE. Does help with thinking the person is stating with greater knowledge.
-
I must say I like the composition of the Peterborough team.
-
Bearing in mind the team we finished with last year had an average of 43.67 (reduced to 43.45 with 2.5% reduction for Robert). We still have to lose some nearly one point from the average which could prove difficult with the options available.
-
How about the following for the initial team R Lambert 8.91 NKI 7.38 E Riss 6.08 T Jorgensen 6.07 R Worrall 5.60 M Palm Toft or L Kerr 5.36 (2.5% reduction allowed for L Kerr) S Lambert 3.00 Total 42.40 I have included S Lambert for the moment as restricted by averages but hopefully as things progress changes could be made.

How about Lambert 8.91 Bjerre 7.02 Riss 6.08 R Worrall 5.60 Kerr 5.50 Palm Toft 5.36 Andersen 4.00 Total 42.47

Anyone know what average is going to be assigned to Kasper Andersen?

How about the following team for 2019 Lambert 8.91 Iversen 7.38 Riss 6.08 R Worrall 5.60 Kerr 5.50 Palm Toft 5.36 Nielsen 3.58 Total 42.41

Somerset v King's Lynn KO Cup final 1st leg 17/10/18
KLFAN replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes I agree our choice of guests has been very poor (in fact the irony is that it has been the difference between good and bad guests that has cost us the League and probably the Cup). I am at a loss to explain how we have our current guest against Somerset. I am totally frustrated that a season of hard work has ultimately been decided by the total lack of application to choices of guest. -
Kings Lynn v Poole Playoff Final 2nd leg 10/10/18
KLFAN replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The 'play offs' are purely a marketing exercise to keep the TV companies happy. I think in 2010 Poole finished 26 points ahead of Coventry in the table, however Coventry beat Poole by 22 points in the finals. Had Poole been able to carry over their 26 point advantage it actually would have made for a better final. -

Yes I agree Exactly why the points should be carried forward. I believe in 2010 Poole finished in excess of 20 points above Coventry. Had these points been taken into account it would of made for a fairer outcome. -
Kings Lynn v Poole Playoff Final 2nd leg 10/10/18
KLFAN replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
At the end of the day the record books will show Poole as 2018 SGB Champions. However so we do not have this situation where the best team over the season does not ultimately become Champions perhaps some allowance should be made for topping the league (apart from pick of opponents and choice of home or away leg first). Ultimately King's Lynn finished 9 points ahead of Poole in the table so perhaps KL should have been given a 9 point start for the final. Opinions? -
I think all King's Lynn supporters know if it were not for the Stock Car Racing (i am not a fan of) then in all probability there would be no speedway at KL. We are left with a dichotomy in that although the race track is affected because of the Stock Cars i am afraid that it is the compromise we have to live with. I think we should all get behind the team and give them as much support as possible and start making negative comments if they are required due to poor performances. Looking forward to Wednesday when hopefully we can get the season of with a win.

I feel the chasm that has developed between KL and Chris Holder has been allowed to fester for too long now and has no chance of being healed. The only people who could have resolved this with CH were the promotion who appear to have been too silent on this for my liking.
-
Just on a tangent i find it an absolute joke that Rye House now have KK at reserve due to his 5.51 average. How long had this been planned one begs the question? I now feel Rye House have a good chance of making the top four. In speedway it seems all about timing and manipulation (averages) at the appropriate time of the season.

Poole are welcome to Chris Holder. I cannot justify attending The AFA anymore whilst Holder is in the team. How can you possibly respect a rider who incites other riders to withdraw their services because he does not like the track set-up. The writing was on the wall when he refused to come out in heat seven.

I have been a Stars fan since the first meeting back in the sixties and in all that time I have never witnessed such a shambles as last night. Firstly the fans were not informed at all at what was going on (hence the track announcer has even resigned in frustration). Secondly if Buster really wants to apologise to the fans then all those who attended last night should get in for free at the next meeting (Versus Rye House) or a maximum price of £5 charged. There has been much unrest on the terraces all season due to the lack of competitive racing and for many this is the final straw. Finally when a rider(s) who are professional withhold their services it is a blatant disrespect to the sport and their 'wage payers' the general public they need to be shown the door. How come the so called 'lesser' riders rode their heart out!

Hi From what i understand it starts at 7.30pm and all are welcome. Just turn up on the evening and hopefully be pleased with the introduction of the new team. My prediction is as follows (like many other pundits). Holder Porsing Lambert ® Rose Batchelor Huckenbeck Bailey From the teams posted so far that is as competitive as any and I look forward to a better season than last year. I am new to the site however I have a claim to fame as being present at the first open meeting held at King's Lynn in May 1965 duly won by the superb Terry Betts.
