Interesting you’re not calling Lambert a ‘ringer’. incidentally the same year (2016) Poole brought in Lindback as a ‘ringer’ for the playoffs but no one ever mentions that. -
Sure I saw Palm Toft rode for Scunthorpe the other day.

Bombers Pending Statement
Call me wolfie replied to KevAustin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I know it’s become a bit of a joke about Bomber taking so many guest bookings but it says a lot about the guy that he’s always the 1st one promoters turn to. Scored a paid max on his guest booking for Wolves earlier this season, he’s one of the good guys for sure and will be missed when he’s gone. -
Bombers Pending Statement

I’m guessing he’ll wait til the end of the season to drop a grenade, not long to wait now. -
Kyle would be busy at 2 and 4.

Lambert for Laguta in other words. -
Any magic wand that conjures up Craig Cook clearly isn’t fit for purpose.

Sheffield v Leicester 10th August
Call me wolfie replied to 4BenMoran's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Amazing what one rider can do, a few years ago Steven Gerrard made his comeback from injury for Liverpool reserves against Wolves reserves at Telford. It was only announced a few hours before kickoff and it was a 6000 sellout. It would normallly have got a few hundred. -
Explain this then, as i said making it up as you go along. Anyway juat because his 1st meeting was on 21st August he was signed the week previously, around 17th August I would imagine, a day before your 2018 example and the 2016 playoffs started 4 days later than 2018 so could actually have signed 5 days later if the 2018 rules applied in 2016. Strange logic and arguments you have, or just hoping no one will notice. Hard luck on that old chap.

If I remember rightly it was no changes before 25% or after 75% of league meetings completed, which is roughly when Tai came in the previous year so not really a ringer rule, more of a benchmark. By the way, Tai’s 1st home meeting in 2016 was 22nd August, playoff semi 1st leg 21st September, maths not your strong point or making it up to suit your agenda.

You’re missing the point, allowing team changes just for the playoffs is wrong. Whatever lineup has got them there should be the riders used for them. Why should anyone who’s boycotted the season be allowed to come in at the last minute, it wouldn’t be allowed in any other team sport. I don’t have a problem with Woffy replacing Holder but Lambert for an uninjured Lawson at the end of August I certainly would. -

Allowing changes on the eve of the playoffs makes a complete mockery of the entire season. Imagine a football team getting to the Championship playoffs then being allowed to sign Mbappe for them. Fair? -

What’s really annoying is when it happened last year I honestly thought they would close the loophole so it couldn’t be done again. However what they’ve actually done is make it possible to change your team virtually at the end of the season, and not just for injuries but anyone, such as Lawson, who has earnt his team a spot in the playoffs. -
Wolves v Leicester Prem 7th August 2023

Couldn't comment on Bomber at Leicester as I've never seen him there but at Monmore is a different story and that was my point. If you're thinking Cook will improve you may be be a little disappointed, it's rather sad really to see what he's become. -

0.77 under, spill the beans. Hope it's not another Freddy rumour. -

Bomber would have equalled or bettered Worrall around Monmore for sure, and Batch would have got more than Cooks solitary point. Cook hasn't been Premiership standard for a number of years and gives up if he doesn't gate. -

Leicester would have won comfortably with Bomber and Batchelor, Cook was as expected. -

Usually very well -
Fed up of hearing such BS from that season even all these years on. The change was made well before the playoffs, if you don't believe me check speedway updates. Check the last 5 regular home league meetings and you will see Tai' s name listed as riding. Kylmakoorpi had just come back from a nasty injury (yes there was an injury involved) and failed to score in consecutive meetings, prompting the change to ensure we made the playoffs. If you're not sure of the facts, don't make it up!!!!

Pretty much nailed on I would say, probably already taken a guest booking. -
Is that if Holders not fit? Can’t see them fitting in Tai, Toby and Jack.

One person said that, what’s your problem with Wolves?
