Call me wolfie replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I have read the thread thanks and no I don't know him personally. I may have spoken to him at sometime or I may not, I don't know as I have no idea what he looks like. If you believe in karma (I don't by the way) take a long look at yourself as it seems to me you're the one making personal comments about someone and questioning their mental state and even posting a link to the definition of "paranoia". That's out of order -

Steve made a comment because BV fans had found the racing at Monmore boring, pointing out how good it was against Rye. The fact that he said it was just because you'd lost, I'm sure was just a tongue in cheek comment, for gods sake get over it and move on -

There's only one person trolling this thread and it's not Steve -
Nathan Greaves is also using the GTR

Heat 10 was a classic with Lindgren missing the gate and battling back from last place to win the heat. -
Fair enough, I'm just conscious of the fact that most of us get 40 - 50 years in our chosen careers and riders will get half that if they're lucky and can only earn half the year. I just think it would be a little bit harsh to limit their earning capabilities to one or two days a week.
-
So how exactly would you entice the top riders to come and ride here when they can earn substantially more in Poland and Sweden. PS I doubt very much the likes of Nathan Greaves could make a living riding for just one team, regardless of what you think you know
-
Really!! Exactly how much do you think they get paid per point? And don't forget they only race for half the year. To be totally honest I think it's you who's talking rubbish
-
Because if they only raced for one team they would have to get a job outside of speedway to make ends meet, and it wouldn't then be a professional sport. That would be a massive step backward and be the beginning of the end for British speedway

I really don't get all this "a pass is only a pass if it's on the outside" nonsense and to suggest you would fine your riders if they did get passed up the inside is ridiculous. Most riders drift wide on turns 2 and 4 at Monmore as it's so tight, even the home riders. It's all down to what you're used to watching. At the NSS most passes are made on the outside, at Monmore most passes are made on the inside, when someone manages to hold a tight line or drifts wide then cuts back down the Karlsson corridor. -
Team And Riders, Points Changeover ?
Call me wolfie replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Options are limited though for a number 1 thanks to the new polish rules, as stevebrum pointed out, who is available at this point in the season who is better than KK. Maybe better off keeping him and hope he improves -
Sorry David, didn't intend to intimate you had, was just using your averages as an example.

Don't think Piotr Pawlicki will come, only lasted a couple of months with us, and has more commitments now -

Of course it does, otherwise the new points limit would mean nothing -

All riders in one team would have to change at the same time otherwise how can you work to the new 42 point limit? -

Surely all teams will have to switch at the same time, you couldn't have a situation where team A are using a 50 point limit with riders on inflated averages against team B who are using a 42 point limit with riders on realistic averages, surely even the BSPA wouldn't be that stupid -
Does anyone know how these new GSA's are going to be issued, is it when each team have completed 4 home and aways or is it individual riders, Say for example we replaced Adam with David Howe now, his average is currently 7ish but he has stated that when the new GSA's are issued he will be 4.8. Surely he wont have to wait until he has completed 4 home and away for this to happen, or does he?
-
I don't think so but I for one would love to see him back, he looked a much better rider than when he was here last time
-
Why would we replace Adam with a 3 pointer, our current GSA for this season is 37.59 and Adams starting average was over 7?
-
Was going to throw in Joonas Kylmakorpi but just found out he's had to retire on medical advice
-
What average would Ricky Wells be? Looked decent at Pk's meeting

Call me wolfie replied to stevebrum's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Depends how their averages are looking, they might not want to chase the win too much but settle for a point -
I think Adam will steadily improve as will Max, for me we just need to wait until the new green sheets are issued and replace Nathan with Howe, that would make our reserves much stronger and that's what's required I think
