Peterborough Panthers 2019
Call me wolfie replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
See the Ipswich thread it appears king and Lawson rode in the 3rd tier before it was changed to the ndl hence they don't get the reduction -
Good point, not sure, it does stipulate ndl According to Wikipedia the current ndl started in 2009 so if that's the case it would exclude both King and Lawson
-
The BSPA League Structures for 2019 will be; (NB to support the progression of riders who have progressed through the National Development League, all riders will receive a 2.5% reduction in their average) This is what was published after the agm, no mention of how recently they should have ridden in the ndl

2019 PL Improvers
Call me wolfie replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I would add Nick Morris and Kenneth Bjerre for sure, plus hopefully Luke Becker and Kyle Howarth -
Thinking about it, it may depend who they want to pair with Becker. Rory would be the most logical I guess as he is more of a team rider and will give him more help, meaning Jacob can take his preferred no 4 slot with Nick at 3
-
I would add BV to that list if Bewley rediscovers his pre injury form. Fricke looks to be in great form and Lidsey looks to be a real bargain on 4 points and Bjerre should thrive back at the NSS I think Kyle prefers to ride at 2 so I would put him there. I loved watching Jacob and Rory race together in 2017 so I would be tempted to pair them together again, as Morris is more than capable of riding at 5
-
There are no limits to the depths he will sink to to get a response, disgraceful!!!
-
Sorry Fred, I find it very difficult to be disappointed at the squad we have assembled, it was known a couple of months ago that Fred and Tai wouldn't be riding UK this year so any disappointment has long since been forgotten. By the way, you are the king of pathetic personal insults, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
-
Compared to last season's team this is a much stronger 1-7, hence my delight. One of Rory, Sam, Jacob or Nick will be riding as a second string all season. Why wouldn't I be happy with that. Becker is a bit of an unknown quantity but could turn out to be a real bargain, and Ashley should stay at reserve all season which is a huge plus. Most people on this forum agree it's a good line up, you appear to be in a minority but you're entitled to your opinion, as am I.
-
Lol nice try, personally I'm delighted with this team. Last year the same 1-7 would have cost us 47.54 points.
-
Personally I would be very happy if we signed Jacob and Ash as the last 2. We would have 4 riders who were riding at No 1 at some point during the last season and all had 8+ averages at some point in the season. Backed up by Kyle and Luke with Ash spending the whole season as a reserve, happy days.

Fake news? On here? Surely not!

That team should make the playoffs at the very least -

Good looking team being assembled here. How many points left for the last place? -
So would I but the delay in naming the last 2 makes me think they are considering someone else
-
Depends if his old average is used or not
-
Why, what did he say?

Petition For A New Speedway Stadium In Essex

Signed, good luck -
I think that confirms we are going for a reserve and heatleader for the last 2 spots, will be very surprised if it's not Jacob and Ashley
-
If he is in the team, as expected, he should remain at reserve all season and that should see his average improve, he was a revelation at the start of the season but did seem to struggle in the 1-5
-
Difficult to say, he's always been fairly inconsistent, 12 one week and 8 the next but the rolling average doesn't lie. 1-2 points harder at No 1 would seem to add up. Nick Morris had a similar drop after starting at No 1 also
-
He was actually 8.64 at the start of this year
