It seemed to be confirmed in the post meeting interviews last night that Scott is indeed only in as temporary injury cover for Jacob. Meanwhile I heard that Nick Morris is back in the UK and has been spending time with Doyle in an oxygen tent to help the bone healing process. There is talk of a possible return for the bank holiday meetings with Belle Vue
-
Only if Scott does well in the 2 away meetings or we lose tonight, otherwise it's an easy decision I would think
-
Maybe it's not his choice, Pete and CVS will only want him back when he's fully fit, I'm sure they will have spoken to PK as he rode for Dackarna last week. I agree, if it was up to Jacob he would have been back already
-
But he's dropped down a league this year

Wolves v kings Lynn Premiership 13/5
Call me wolfie replied to stevebrum's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The team is currently 1.03 under the 42.5 limit so it's not really an issue at the moment as Jacobs average is only about 0.65 above Nick and Scott. Can only see our overall average dropping slightly for the next revised averages effective from 1st June as we have 1 home meeting followed by 2 away before the cut off of 23rd May. Maybe we are playing a waiting game to see what is possible come the end of the month when both Nick and Jacob should be available. Ashley needs to pull his socks up as there may be room to do something there. Could possibly replace him with a 4 pointer aswell as bringing Jacob in for Scott maybe. Don't think they will let Nick go, they were desperate to sign him, and he's on a bargain average, as is Jacob. As for tonight, I'll go 50 - 40 to the Wolves -
There maybe some truth in it, he only got 1 point from 3 rides in Poland at the weekend

A 28 day r/r facility can be granted at the discretion of the mc. However that 28 days is now up so who knows, the logical thing to do would be to replace Morris with Thorssell
-
Just my understanding of the situation Steve, I may be wrong
-
He's very close to Pete and his family, the way Pete was talking at the pre season talk in he would have him back as soon as possible. CVS was less committal saying it would be a tough choice if Scott does well. Jacob was fine when he first agreed to sign, the injury came later, he then thought he was going to be ok by the start of the season but then didn't heal as well as he thought it would. He told Pete / CVS as soon as he realised he was going to miss the start of the season. Imo Jacob will be back at some point this season
-
We are currently 1.03 under the limit so plenty of room for him to come back
-
As far as I know Scott isn't in as a temporary injury replacement but as a fully fledged member of the squad, which is what makes the decision over whether to swap Scott for Jacob so difficult. The only facility we are using at the moment is r/r for Nick Morris
-
I've heard June aswell due to the nature of the repair done, he risks permanent damage if he rides before fully healed. Think we need to do something, we can't keep using r/r, sooner or later we will slip up if we do. Think it's stretching the rules a bit aswell as Nick hasn't ridden a meeting yet. I would expect to see Jacob back in the not too distant future. Let's see how he does tonight in Sweden. Pete Adams will definitely want him back, I'm sure of that

Ì think he is riding for Dackarna on Thursday. No doubt PK will tell Pete if he is fully fit or not

Well I heard from a reliable source yesterday that Nick has been told by his doctor not to ride until his bone is fully healed otherwise he risks irrepairable damage. It is likely to be some time in June before it is fully healed so something needs to be done, as you say, bring in Jacob as cover for Nick and take it from there. -

As Brum has said Nicholls could replace anyone prior to 1st May but after then it's only possible for him to replace Tungate or Hans which I can't see happening -

Nicholls will be 6.56 from May 1st so yes it is possible he could cover for Nick Morris -
OMG if true, but the figures look wrong to me, Lasse has averaged 5 points in his 2 meetings this year but his average has gone up to over 6 from below 5!! Really?
-
Why? They are way under the limit since Summers replaced Cook
-
Good to see Jacob has been back on his bike, training at Gdansk. Can't be far off a return. What will we do? A team with Masters, Schlein, Thorssell, Morris and Becker looks very strong, with Kyle dropping to reserve at some point probably. Can see Scott ending up at Peterborough

It will be interesting to see how he does there tonight, if he does well he will be their no1 target. If not they may look elsewhere
