  1. What’s happened to Alun Rossiter, he seems to have disappeared. I thought he would have been more vocal to be honest.
  2. The new averages make interesting reading, since the last set our combined average has dropped by around 3.5 points meaning as things stand we could actually strengthen by around 1.8 points rather than have to lose someone. They will be our final averages as playoffs aren’t included.
  3. He hasn’t got concussion, hopefully will be ok for Monday
  4. The rules have been clear all season on the completion date for meetings, it’s beyond me why promotions don’t do more to ensure this happens. Far too many unused dates leading to trying to cram them in the last couple of weeks. To be fair though had we not had the cancelled days for the queens mourning it may have just been possible.
  5. Correct, which causes the tyres to overheat then self destruct, made worse by a higher track temperature for an afternoon meeting.
  6. I choose to forget about about all the politics, embrace it for what it is, support the team I love, watch the sport I love, and above all, think that this could be our year to win again. If not there’s always next year. I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be on a Monday night. Who knows, one day all the top riders may return, maybe or maybe not, but we could be watching the future world champion without even realising.
  7. I can see both sides of the argument. On the one hand there is no other rising star anywhere close to the level of Tom so any replacement would be a massive handicap. On the other hand BV could replace their rising star with Hans Andersen for the playoffs. I guess the whole idea of the rising star project is that they progress so it’s probably only fair that it goes on averages, it could happen to any other team next season, it could easily be Leon Flint. Let’s just hope this is a hypothetical discussion and Tom is able to take his well earned place back for the remainder of the season.
  8. Wolves won the A meeting and drew the B meeting last season
  9. Ryan Douglas was out, we had Jorgensen as a guest and he was awful, also had Joe Thompson riding at 7 as Leon was injured. Will be interesting to see how different it is with a full 1 - 7
  10. I must admit, I was under the impression the rising star remains at no 7 regardless of average
  11. They could have said it was just a temporary schedule, this is the permanent one
  12. Pretty sure the rule says start of the season, is the league cup not part of the season? If you’re going to quote rules make sure you get them correct or how can anyone take you seriously.
  13. Absolutely, unfortunately the BSPA created this situation by allowing a temporary 28 day signing in the first place, so then had no choice but to allow Zagar to sign. I was always under the impression a temporary 28 day signing was a facility for a named rider. I guess as with all things speedway related, the rules aren’t that clear in the first place.
  14. But a lot of people weren’t happy and still go on about it now. By the way, it wasn’t just for the playoffs, he rode for us for 5 or 6 meetings prior to the playoffs as well, which, by current rules, would still be allowed.
  15. Jealous, haha, you’re funny. What you’re trying to say is if the boot was on the other foot and Wolves had signed Freddy or Tai in the same situation you would be overjoyed. Pull the other one!
  16. No tears, not that bothered to be honest, just seems like special treatment because you spent so long chasing riders that were never going to work out. The precedent has been set, unless of course they rewrite the rules so it can’t happen again.
  17. Mmm interesting interpretation but isn’t the LEAGUE cup for the teams in the league, therefore teams should be declared prior to it starting. It is, after all, part of the season. Bending the rules to the max IMO.
  18. Premiership speedway used to be on BT sport, it has now switched to Eurosport. Monday is the chosen night for live Premiership speedway, it’s not every week though.
  19. My apologies, was thinking for some reason Lebedev was Russian
  20. With Emil and Artem now banned from the GP’s I don’t see much chance of a Russian rider being allowed to sign for BV, would you be happy if he did?
