  1. Well he qualifies for the British final so who knows. That would be a decent team. Pretty sure it’ doesn’t fit though, about 0.6 over with British reductions for Steve, Scott and Rory.
  2. Don’t think Nicholls fits if it’s true Rory is back, not sure what average Rory finished on but pretty sure it’s higher than Nick
  3. Probably the fact that Tom spent a large chunk of the season in the 1 - 5 and indeed finished there. How could you pick him as a rising star when he wouldn’t be starting the season in the reserves. The rising star scheme has done its job for him and he now has to stand on his own 2 feet, I’m sure he will.
  4. Very true, what’s the point of a rising star scheme if they’re taken off it before they’re ready to step up. Once they have, like Brennan, then that’s fair enough.
  5. The gaps not as big as it was I agree but still quite sizeable
  6. Don’t think it’s that cut and dried, why choose a rider who wants to be elsewhere? why do the likes of Freddy and Tai not ride for us if they do what they’re told? They’re our assets after all.
  7. It’s the ones that don’t double up that make the difference, which leads to prem second strings riding as champ heatleaders etc. The faces seem largely the same but the reality is totally different.
  8. I don’t doubt it but the overall strength of the teams is totally different. Leicester had Nick Morris as no 1 (3rd in averages at Wolves), their other 2 heatleaders Richie Worrall and Kyle Howarth (second strings in prem), second strings Connor Mountain (reserve in prem) and Dan Thompson (rising star in prem), Reserves Max Clegg (not in prem) and Joe Thompson (no 8 in prem). Any premiership team naming that lineup probably wouldn’t score a point all season.
  9. I guarantee we won’t have a team with a rising star plus Leon. It doesn’t work and I’m 100% sure they realise that. I agree they like to be loyal to their riders but sometimes circumstance dictate it’s not possible. The big question is do we stick with Drew if Leon’s not on the list or look elsewhere.
  10. They’ve gone on record as saying they know they got it wrong last year, it looks like we’re on course for pretty much the same 1 - 5 with maybe one change so read into that what you like. No 6 is where the strengthening will be without doubt.
  11. Makes me laugh when someone says the leagues are almost the same strength, if Leicesters table topping side was assembled in the Premiership it would be approximately 29 points, 10 below the limit. Not remotely close is it really
  12. We won’t have Leon plus a rising star, we made that mistake this year, hopefully lessons have been learnt.
  13. Not heard anything to be honest, I dread to think what will happen when he finally calls it a day
  14. And you know this how? His last post on this topic (page 12) was about……………Robert Lambert The fact he said signed should have given you a little clue
  15. I think we all know Old Bob was on about Robert not Simon!!!
  16. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2022-premiership-declarations/ sorry, you’re wrong, he was officially declared as a Belle Vue rider on 3rd October. Only riders in a declared 1 - 7 are allowed to guest
  17. Actually he did sign, wouldn’t have been allowed as a guest as he wasn’t riding in the UK
  18. I think you’ll find that would be reassessed to 8
  19. How old are those Pawlicki averages? One of them had a habit of not turning up at Wolves, can’t remember which, Piotr I think.
  20. I’m pretty sure if that was the case someone would have nabbed Tom Brennan off you last year.
  21. No it doesn’t, it would be such a shame if they get pushed aside. All 3 have shown such promise this year. I would be very surprised if BV don’t retain the services of Tom whatever.
