Well Redcar don't look strong at reserve. How much Championship experience has Jake Mulford got? And James Shanes has failed to progress. Will make the playoffs but don't see Redcar challenging for top honours
-
Plenty - 6 in the whole season 3H & 3A, a 4 pt rider that averaged just over 2. I saw him on 2 occasions home and away against Glasgow and he scored 1 in both meetings. A wee boy who looked out of his depth. With all the 2pt reserves and in a second season hopefully he'll do better next year
-
Do you know Poole's mystery 3 then?
-
No plenty of us did, just hoped it wouldn't be so.
-
Scunny: Jake Allen had a poor year coming back from injury in 2021 MPT coming back from shoulder issues Simon Lambert really only good at Scunthorpe Zaine 2 seasons as 4pt reserve and it was a horrific crash that finished his season. Will it effect him round there?
-
But they are rubbish away from home. If you score less than 40 on the road it's a lot harder to win the bonus point
-
Premiership playoff final 2nd leg heat 14 Justin went from last to first passing Blodorn then Brennan. Think it's more down to the Birmingham track than his ability to overtake. Anyway wasn't it Scott instead of Nick Morris that you wanted?
-
You've got Justin to back Nick up, will do just as well, if not better than an Scott
-
And almost half a point to spare!
-
Who's Shirley?
-
You lacked a No.1 last season, be happy you've got one for 2023. And barring injury he'll be there for the whole season. A 2pt reserve would put a lot of pressure on Pearson, who looked out of his depth last season. But's been doing well in Oz.

Don't think Zane Keleher was bang average at Plymouth, he was the track record holder. He was better than Dillon Rmul and Zack Cook in 2021 and they kicked on in their second season. Away he was seeing everywhere for the first time. He looked good when I saw him but you obviously saw more of him. 4 points to find someone not many options. Gamble on someone who failed to attain a 4pt average or a newcomer
-
Not many options from this seasons riders Kasper Andersen 4.10 or an assessed rider that failed to obtain their 4pt average. What about having Zane Keleher back? 4.15 average, was very good round Plymouth in 2021
-
All will be revealed this Wednesday (21st).

Think you'll find the No.2 has two programmed rides against a reserve in heat 8 and either 6 or 11 depending if at home or away A number six only has two programmed rides against a reserve and if you have a weak reserve the team manager might swap the riders around and the only time that weak reserve might come up against another reserve is in heat 2.

Don't most riders average better at home? Connor's away average in 2022 was 3.53, which was better than Lasse 3.04 or Jacob 1.83. And he outscored both over the 3 Edinburgh v Glasgow fixtures, one of which he was at 2. Everyone likes to think the riders in their team are capable of adding a point on their starting average but they can't all. Think it's very unlikely Lasse hits 5
-
Funny he's quoted as only riding in Sweden & the UK next season. Says he's doing his own bikes in Sweden, so I assumed he is based there. Plus does the Swedish 2nd division not race on a Thursday?

David doesn't blame Phil Morris, he was a speedway rider and knew the risks, he accepts it was racing incident. But everyone who was there that day knows that Phil Morris took David out. He dived up the inside of the fourth bend attempting a block pass of David but it had terrible consequences. Had he been good enough to apologies then perhaps he wouldn't be the most hated man at Glasgow speedway

I was surprised that no one had posted the signing on the forum. Only reason I found out was someone claimed Edinburgh holding NDL to ransom , so I looked on Monarchs website to see if they had issued a statement about participation in the NDL. From the alleged team which is 0.45 under the points limit you could have easily upgraded either Paco or Lasse. Connor Bailey or Kyle Newman instead of Lasse . Or Kemp, A.Morris, Rowe or Thomas instead of Paco. Obviously dependent on who makes the Poole lineup. Don't understand the logic of signing non-elite riders based outside the UK with the additional costs when you could employ British riders.
-
Just replying to Mr Blobby, who responded to my original post - why has no Edinburgh fan announced the signing of Lasse Frederiksen. What's upset you?
-
And yet no one bothered to post about it, unlike every other signing when announced. Improved to a final GSA of 3.50, starts 2023 on 4.
-
He didn't have good meetings for Plymouth v Redcar & Glasgow at the end of the season. But was very good in the dead rubber v Poole in the playoffs
-
Where was the fanfare for the announcement of Lasse's return? Monarch's website says it was released at 7am this morning. Did the fans not want him back?

Jacob Hook doing well in Aus, 3rd in North Brisbane Solo's today, beat Adam Ellis in his semi-final: https://fb.watch/htulA7HYoU/ Jacob scored 11 in qualifying heats, Kye scored 10 Meeting won by Ryan Douglas, Nick Morris was unbeaten in qualifying heats but last in final.

Underwhelming signing, Complin's comeback has been disappointing so far. The 4 point average is assessed, he actually averaged only 3.09 (3.47 inc bonus pts) over 11 championship meetings. Even the promo video is about past glories, I remember him being good with Sheffield, Stoke and Berwick but that was 10-20 years ago. However given the weakness of the Championship reserves due to the 40 point limit I'm sure he'll do well at home. His lack of gating ability might be a problem on the road.
