What promise did Bastion show last week? It didn't show up on the stream. He was hardly in shot as he was way back and your comms said his gating was hopeless. And they'd seen the same in Danish league -

Weight of the world on his shoulders? Have Edinburgh not provided a sick note to get the guest facility in previous meetings? If there's no injury then why have they not announced he's withholding his services. -

And that wasn't exactly a bad meeting 4 points from 4 rides. Lost a chain in one, last against Doyle & Sayfutdinov and two seconds. Don't know where he picked up the back injury. Packing up his bikes? -
Pearson cannot drop below his 4pt assessed average so that loses you 0.62. Leaving only 8.66. Don't think you're looking for two 4 point riders. Don't think anyone available on 6.66.

So is most of your side! That's the problem

When you've lost your only 2 home league fixtures both 36-54 everyone's going to have a low league average. However over all home meetings this season Nick is averaging 9.04 (8.44 excluding bonus points) but he's been a 5pt rider away. Justin Sedgmen is the opposite cannot win races at home only averaging 5.33 (5.00) but is an 8 point rider away. You've got to hope he can turn around his home form as he scored well last year and is performing well away and in the Premiership. The problem is 3 & 4 failing to produce anything and nothing special out of reserve. Got to give the Thompson boys a chance. The best solution might be to replace Wright & Pearson for a 7 & a 2 point rider but where are you going to find a 7 point rider? Hans Anderson rides Denmark but they have a summer break coming in July so maybe he's Birmingham's best hope
-
Presumably not very long going by Edinburgh being able to bring in Bastian Borke after losing to Scunthorpe on 26/05 and before their averages changed on 01/06. Seemed to have more difficulty finding a 2 point rider. I'm sure Berwick signed Jonas Knudsen on a temporary visa last year then applied for a full visa. There was a hold up in it being processed and he then had to sit out a few meeting but was back before the end of the season.

Poole Vs Plymouth 7th June league
gmarsbar2 replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just an estimate but I would say the crowd at Glasgow was bigger on last Tuesday night than on Friday. Don't know if Monday's or Thursday would work long term but with Poland now using Thursday's and on one occasion Monday maybe the Premiership need to scrap fixed race nights to get more team in it next year. Poole are going to want to keep Wednesdays -
Think he'd choose riding with his brother over former team mates. And he's got to Premiership team mates already at Birmingham.

09/06/23 Edinburgh v Glasgow (CH)

Common sense would be to sign a 2 point rider who looks somewhere near ready for the Championship. Someone who is at least doing well in NDL. Just as well for Edinburgh there seems to be only 5 decent teams in the league, so can maybe still make the playoffs. -

July before we are away after Friday so Basso will be at No.1 by then. Assume Bomber will be at 5 and Tom at 3 -

Scunny v Redcar 02.06.2023 league

Think now that Connor is doing Polish under 24 league he wouldn't want a place in Premiership. I thought he would have been at Belle Vue, given that he was the number 8 last year. -
No, just that he has the potential to be a far better rider than a 5 point rider. Definitely at home, hopefully away.
-
So these keyboard warriors aren't Redcar fans? I'm sure it was the same with Glasgow fans wanting wholesale changes after Tuesday night - a vocal minority
-
Like Bomber and Claus won't be looking for the same bit of track! I think Tom would be best partner for Chris as he can ride the inside line. Basso at 5 So that would pair Claus & Marcin at 3 & 4, swap around as fit depending on home or away
-
Or like Tuesday heat 6 Bomber almost puts him in the fence on turn 2 in his haste to get to the outside. Marcin has to shut off and ends up out the back.
-
Recent history, do you think that team would have won at Scunthorpe? Two weeks ago Redcar fans wanted rid of Danyon & Connor after they lost at home to Poole. FYI Marcin Nowak has a higher average this season in Polish Div. 2 than Ryan Douglas, Sam Masters & Nick Morris
-
Expensive 7 point riders, no one's going to sign them unless a heat leader is long term injured. Poole can have Batch and release one the the Cook boys, I'm sure Glasgow could find them a home
-
Very true, Redcar fans were wanting rid of Danyon, Connor and Mulford after losing at home to Poole, then they're match winners against Glasgow. Some Glasgow fans wanting half of last night's team sacked after last night but six days ago we were at least the second best team in the league. Who do they think is available to come in? Monarch's rejects
-
Ty Proctor on a 4 point average? You's signed him on 5 something last year.
