  1. And how many passes was there in the Championship Riders Final last week?
  2. The new promotion spent a lot of time and money on the track pre-season. When I was there this season the racing was a lot better than my last visit
  3. Do they have to race 6th or do they get a choice? Don't Leicester get the choice of semi-final opponents?
  4. The promotions had a meeting on the day of the pairs at which they decided to scrap the one off final and each have a home leg. The sensible thing to do would have been to arrange dates at that meeting. As the one off final was scheduled for Sunday 4th September you would have they would arrange meetings over that weekend. But no doubt some riders have Polish commitments
  5. I didn't say the aim was to finish bottom. Lose at home on a regular basis is a sure fire way to lose fans and money.
  6. Glasgow won the league and didn't see an increase in attendance just a bigger riders wage bill. Workington won the treble then went out of business. What's the big prize at Championship level?
  7. There was a national train strike, I'm sure that had an effect on the attendance. Plus there was a stream available, why travel hundreds of miles when you can watch from home? Took me a day to recover from going to Redcar on Sunday and I wasn't even driving!
  8. That would be Craig's dad and our esteemed team manager reacting to the abuse Craig was getting while lying on the back straight. Never heard an ambulance being booed off the track before last night.
  9. I think Leicester would rather pick Poole, where they've won than going to Glasgow or Edinburgh
  10. We are spoilt with the quality of racing at Glasgow, unfortunately there is no streaming this season except from BSN, so unless you attend you aren't going to see the fantastic racing served up on a weekly basis. For some reason BSN chose to cover the totally uncompetitive Newcastle fixture in April which was actually the worst meeting of the season. However for all the hype about world class riders coming to Glasgow around a third of the riders couldn't race on the track. They looked fast in a straight line on their expensively tuned to the max engines but couldn't navigate the bends hence the numerous 60 second race times. Which are a rarity in Championship meetings. The cutthroat nature of the meeting lead to numerous crashes, nothing to do with the track or the fence. No problem with the long delays while Anders and Chris were being treated on track, the medical staff should get at much time as needed, they do a great job. But I don't think the Polish referee pushed the meeting through at the usual GP pace. What's polish for curfew? 4 hours on the couch watching a stream might be fine but some were standing at the track for much longer.
  11. I didn't say it was bad, I said it was the worst meeting of the season at Glasgow. Almost 4 hours to complete the meeting is unacceptable. Many left before the end. Berntzon, Milik & Bellego ain't Polish
  12. Sorry my bad, maybe if he rode in the UK I'd spell his name right.
  13. Thomsen won't be riding again this year. Compound fracture, bone was through the skin when they cut his boot off
  14. Worst meeting of the year at Glasgow. Race times 2-4 seconds slower than the Championship. Glasgow is slick but apparently not slick enough for Ekstraliga riders. Well done Kim Nilsson didn't see that coming.
  15. Unfortunately for Glasgow, the team with injuries, his average is too high to use him.
  16. Well what was he doing representing Russia in 2017 to 2019 in the World Cup & SON? He only took out a Polish license in 2020 so he could ride at reserve for Wroclaw. I'm sure I read Artum Laguta had been living full time in Poland for 5 years before the Russian invasion of Ukraine and had already been considering applying for citizenship.
  17. Funny that a Russian can be the wildcard but the World Champion was precluded from taking out a Polish license
  18. Plymouth claimed early on that the wanted to bring in a replacement for Kennett but it was blocked by the BSPL. Although his fall in Plymouth's first home meeting looked totally innocuous when he slide off at the back in heat 1 and withdrew from the meeting. Plymouth are just taking advantage of the facility available to them.
  19. All of the above if meetings are cancelled because of weather. I'm sure they would rather have a weeks notice than rained off on the day. Belle Vue are at home next Monday so everything will be in place to stage a meeting.
  20. Edinburgh will probably be the only team that can use Harris in the play-offs. He now has the third highest average in the championship behind Masters and Morris
  21. And what's to stop them cancelling next week's Premiership fixtures and rerunning it next Monday night?
  22. Kemp crashed on 1st bend in 5th ride so you would think that would have been a reason to bring Leon in. Does Neil Vatcher even watch Championship speedway? Would only have to watch BSN's coverage of the Berwick Poole matches to know Leon is better than Drew.
  23. On the stream it looked like Ulrich dived down the inside of Paco entering bend 3, Paco tried to shut the door but Ulrich was ahead. Then Paco chucked it. No doubt there was contact but that was down to Paco not wanting to concede the lead.
