  1. Im really looking forward to tonight! should be a close meeting! with porsing and auty at reserve could make all the difference! i was impressed with him last week, takes responsibility what is something i love!! if he rides like that every week and his average fits next season then why not!!!! Thomas H spoke really well on the mic too said all the right things at least! Im digging this team! time will tell! No trophies but its a team i feel i can relate too!
  2. Spot on grw ! Great post! I do have a slight piece of sympathy for batchelor as he does commit to the uk big time as his guest appearances prove. But the guy is a winge and if your attitude is that bad then it effects the people around you! I do think the changes have cost us a push for the play offs. But maybe for the greater good. That night was a low and can't happen again! I think the announcer also made things 10 times worse too by quitting mid meeting. no views were put across. the situation was just left to rot really. We have cut away the bad! hopefully the atmosphere will improve and it will serve as a warning too! Be interesting to see how Thomas h does.
  3. Grw When the ban is up we have holder lambert and batchelor, not a bad heat leader trio at all Jorgensen and Kai . Probably the best 2nd strings in the league. Rose/porsing as the strong reserve with a homer in Simon lambert. If your 1 of the ones thinking toft and sedge man should replace holder and Troy and that would be a great thing for lynn speedway then I want some of what you are on! I would prefer holder apologise or be replaced but with what. I'm not a fan of holder at all but unless you can find a top line rider on a 7 average to replace him then it will be at a detriment. More people will be moaning about poor performances It really was 1 rotten night. Sometimes you have to hit the bottom to build from that. Why announce nothing? Why sacrifice the season and replace decent riders with poorer quality riders. It is quite funny that you expect to be told news when there isn't any to be given. We have a strong team when you look at it
  4. Maybe nothing to report at the moment? No news probably means no news? Could make some up?
  5. Pointsmeanplayoffs is spot on! not about the ticket prices but just about the moaning! Hospital waiting rooms are more pleasant than the forum!
  6. If your that interested in doing something big you don't apply through social media. you build a bridge. try to talk man to man and if its not to be its not to be! Instead of lambasting the people in charge how about once again we play a role as "supporters" and spread the word too. £10 pounds for a night at speedway is pretty cool! what ever the motive is! Like anybody within the sport would read this forum or speedway social media in general! its full of depressing egotistical faceless morons ! you have to read through a lot of cringe to find any good content! Its so easy to pick out negatives. And god don't we!
  7. I like how us lynn fans are all getting on the defensive over the meer mention of Lambert being anywhere else!!!!! Seriously though. right now ill trade you chris for jack! he impressed me that unmentionable night! mind you matt fords words i think were aimed towards him about last nights defeat.
  8. Very honest heartfelt article in my opinion. 5 miles from the track and we have had rain. I just hope holders actions on that night along with others aren't looked back on as the turning point of this club. I'd be gutted if we drop leagues like Eastbourne and lakeside. Even more gutted if we lose it completely. The club needs us to rally round and support it more than ever right now I recon. Sucks that people are sticking the knife in
  9. Distance like that is a mitigating circumstance
  10. will separate the true core support from the fair weather fans. There is big event on in sandringham today. So if you come from out that way then leave plenty of time!
  11. if he's gone through personal stuff maybe he is struggling mentally? I don't want to make excuses for him but you know. I want to like him. Im trying my hardest. iv tried all season. I want him to be a "great" for us! Its just hard
  12. I was there last night. 1st race he was disqualified for leaving the track on an unsatisfactory start. bit silly but happens, track took some getting used to for us. so his 2nd 1 was a right off. then a win. he wasn't off the pace and tbh although toft rode ok he was nothing special. Sometimes riders score points under the radar and others they ride hard for not a lot. Last night made me realise if we do replace Holder it has to be for a big heat leader. if not we go backwards and you will all moan about the fact we lack top end strength and inconsistency in riders. Its ok if lambert and Batchelor are fit but what when they are not. All of this could have been averted had the riders put their point across on the night. Why did that not happen and why did caney walk. as rubbish as holder was that night. Shocking decision to up and leave. unless a rider is dropped from sweden/poland. or a struggling polish team have a rider who wants more meetings. we should probably maybe look at trying to forgive. I actually beleive if holder was to say. "hands up, track was rubbish but i was out of order" we can move on. Simon lambert and Tero Aarnio was the biggest problem last night. Aarnio tried his all but for lambert it just didn't happen. It was as if his tall big build didn't suit the track? do tall riders struggle on small tracks as a rule? watching josh bates turning the bike inside out on the inside line was actually very entertaining/ for a bigger guy this must be a very hard move to pull off?
  13. Holders and Kurtz's would have something about it. A lot of winter politics before then though! At least we don't have all the false average rubbish of last season to work out.
  14. All of this stuff of needing new people running the club etc . . . Didn't realise people were queuing to take it on! Better the devil you know. there have been some pretty shoddy promoters elsewhere in the past! Hortons, Mallets, Waggy up and left. The birmingham debacle, Hemsley, That reading debacle. Thats just scraping the surface. How about we all just calm our moobs a little. have a cup of tea, go to a couple more meetings and try to realise things in life don't always go smoothly. speedway isn't full of people wanting to throw money at an unpopular sport. there isn't a rush of people fighting it out to become promoters. Jonathan Chapman did have some pretty cool ideas, The super 7 even was probably the fairest and best idea of the lot. The thing is if the 2 cant work together then its unlikely isn't it. as much as it was a good time i guess bonds break. sad really.
  15. I work with plants and it flooded the beds to the point they were still draining at lunch time. With a clay base track I could see how that's a potential problem and the lack of regular riders makes it the perfect excuse. I'm content. Get them back in a few weeks with a regular team. But spin it as the promoters hating fans. That's probably a way more popular view. People love bile on this forum!
  16. I've never seen so much rain as what fell in a short space last night. The base would be soaked. Our drains at work couldn't cope. And with a few riders missing I'm glad it's off tonight. It's not treating us with disdain. I hate how sports fans feel they are owed . The word entertainment for example. Sport is sport. It's about winning. The battle to win is the entertainment. And the wanting to witness your team to do so is why you should turn up. If you want sports entertainment there are some really good wrestling shows in the Norfolk area. Otherwise there is theatre or the good old cinema. It's not burying my head in the sand. It's a poor situation and a couple of people should hang their head in shame. But it's not doom and gloom. We are in with a shout I don't support a restaurant I support a sports team. Sport is unscripted. Means it sometimes doesn't work out
  17. The fans have a role to play here. Thursday was an accumulation of negativity that started long before. Poor racing. Number 1 who struggled. For the first few meetings there was optimism Maybe we are due a new page. Let by gones be by gones . Don't expect the world!!! we are a small town and should be pretty proud to have something that puts us on the map. A bit of a freshen up is needed. Maybe a rider or 2. Or maybe a top rider holding his hands up and clearing the air for the purpose of pr . If we can get a couple of tryers in then maybe we can have a team we can relate to again. In my opinion though. If you give up on your team then don't post as if you are one of the hard core. Don't post s if you have passion. Because a supporter supports his team regardless. Despite who plays/rides. Despite who runs it. Despite what the fair weather fan says. Yeah moan and grumble but don't turn your back. If you don't turn up for the wolves meeting then where is your passion. Give yourself a 28 day ban. Let's move on . We can push on from a rubbish night. It was a shocker but we beat Poole at Poole and have been good everywhere. Don't bitch and moan about riders then threaten to withdraw yourself. Premadona support I'm off this forum I recon. I'll talk to the true support on the terraces
  18. I had the same injury as klindt. Acl full, mcl partial, miniscus slight tear, no op and without word of a lie it took me a good 6 months to have much confidence to do anything without the fear of it buckling. 18 months to not notice it so I have respect for him big time to be battling away. I know that horrible feeling if you over reach it or jolt it without warning. Don't know if he s brave or foolish. Maybe needy for the wage. I'm probably double his weight mind you. Hope he gets fixed up and comes back soon. . . Just for my team not yours.
  19. He's great. A worker. Doesn't sit back and wait for things to happen. It's easy to critique anonymously. This is a guy that loves the sport and wears his heart on his sleeve. It's the being open part that gives people sticks to beat him with. The sport isn't too bad right now. It's certainly better than it was last season and teams are beating teams all round. The odd bad meeting / problems to deal with but when won't that be the case. Threads like this are really frustrating because all that happens is negatives get magnified. To mention 2011 is discraceful. Coventry and Peterborough were big time out of order. Imagine if teams hadn't moved up. Coventry and Peterborough would have blackmailed speedway into getting their own way to the detriment of the sport and Coventry had previous with that over mid season strengthening. This year Coventry were doomed due to in house issues. It's a shame it happened and Coventry closed but if all the stadium sandu and Horton couldn't work it out it was never going to be. Who wouldn't want Craig cook. As a lynn fan (who can be critical when it's deserved) I'd have been gutted if we had tried. It wasn't illegal. It was a verbal agreement. Worse things happen. Maybe if there wasn't a verbal agreement belle vue wouldn't have screwed over Richie Worrall . People will only read the headline and the first few posts though so well done in the negativity. It's a reason why most fans don't bother with the forum because it's full of people who can only see the negative in everything. Narcissistically halfwits and lynch mobs. Hard to start a topic on that though because everybody is anonymous.
  20. Fred . Poole managed well enough. For us it was a case of a rotten apple ruining the bunch. It was a grippy attackers track. It meant the riders had to work hard. Now we have all worked with people who play up in a self centred manor when they are asked to work hard. The track produced times in the low 58s fastest times of the year if you had the nuts for it. People brought up with a good honest hard work ethic will find Wednesday unforgivable. People brought up with a moan bitchycomplain about everything background will probably side with the riders. But the times were fast. I hope we set it deep every week because with the right riders on a grippy home track we will win the league. The riders would be more used to it if they faced grip more often. Jack holder was good to prove that
  21. I don't see how he can stay. last night was so disappointing. Surely it's withholding and we should get 28 days to use facilities. I'm not having the buster criticism though. I think like always he does his best. And that's more than most. Shooting at him is like shooting your own foot when it comes to lynn speedway. Sure he has flaws but I see him last night. He looked so let down.
  22. Poole managed fine. Jack holder mixed it. It was an attackers track. I feel for buster on this. I feel let down by our super pre season signing. If I see him say anything about not feeling loved by the fans I'll probably puke after what he has done tonight. Imagine turning up to your day job and having to work with 1 or more cry babies like that. Poole can have him back. I was disappointed by the lack of announcing too. It left the situation to brew more . I wanted to know the riders view at the time. A few good points from a couple of riders could have defused the situation. i actually wish riders would stop winging and just push on though and that's not just last night. If a track is grippy deal with it. At least try. Likewise if it's slick or bumpy within reason too. If you don't want to try them maybe try a normal day job for the rest of your lives. Pretty sure a tough track will seem a bit more acceptable then. We respect you guys but that respect has turned some into premadonas. Those who are celebrated most. I will be there next week and others should be too. It's not busters fault a few of his employees have soiled the image. Take action. Fine or remove. Move forwards .
  23. Holder must go. Gutted to say that but tonight was disgraceful. The star rider has to set an example. His example was so unacceptable. On a track that was challenging with the quickest times of the season. An attackers track. He no showed us. He's Been a 7 point rider. Nothing better. Our great number 1. Gutted. If the going gets tough just don't bother.
  24. Our star rider was a disgrace. The track was grippy but the times were the fastest this season. It was an attackers track Thing is the riders lost heart even when we were ahead. Holder really should hang his head in shame tonight and I'm gutted to say that about 1 of our own riders. I went round to see if the riders were about at the 15 and many had left. I really can't put accross just how gutted I am at him. I thought as the star he was supposed to set an example. The example was if things get hard no show If riders are going out there getting sub 60 times then for him to no show in heats I really feel he should issue an apology to the fans, If batch was hurt fair dues. Simon lambert was hurt. Thing is if 1 influential figure in any team in any job has a bad attitude then it's going to rub off on others. After tonight I would actually replace holder with imidiate effect. Ha hasn't been great this season. He has only been a 7 point standard rider. It's just a line has been crossed tonight. Speedway riders aren't the only people to have to do potentially dangerous jobs in less than perfect conditions. This track was rideable and even had a couple of passes it was testing and the skilled coped. Tonight was premadonas spitting out the dummy and rider power has ruined the test
