I thought he was very entertaining! A real tryer! One of the most unsmooth riders I've ever seen! Loved it!i think he is sub 5 points. That's why I personally would prefer Him to Kerr . Toft Kai and rose ahead of Kerr too. But each to their own. We all have our favourites!

Jan Jaros. ? Racing 2nd half of the season was much better. Some really good meetings too. The track was much less of a problem. That's my oppinion. Went from gate and go to a real battlers track but I put that down to having a team of riders with something to prove. Team wise Niels Lambert Thj Tj Kai Rose Toft Bet that doesn't fit Dan

King's Lynn Stars 2017

Hes 19! he's doing just fine! Multiple age class championships, pairs championship, Been riding at number 1 improving! if it wasn't for his crooked knee he would be even better. I don't get the doubting him? if he gets the gating bit right then he's there pretty much! he will continue to improve if he is at lynn or not! and id rather him be here than not! Why are we questioning him! there are other riders in the team we could discuss about. Kai being 1! when he is on form he's awesome and when he isn't he is poor! I can see a potential janowski situation where we don't use him next season and he shines for somebody else! We have a lot of riders also that could make great riders for other teams next season too! Posing will score well at reserve for somebody, toft, thj, rose, kerr (asset). the ones we don't use for 2018 will be hot property on their averages no doubt! -
I'd settle for the current team. There is a lot of improvement in them. If there are changes hopefully it will only be the odd 1 or 2 Porsing is about to have a run at reserve. It will suck for somebody else to get that benefit. Kai is inconsistent but so was janowski in his 2nd year. I'd be gutted to lose toft or auty. But it will probably be for rose or Kerr Lambert and Jorgensen have to be back! Leaves t h jonasen who Poole will probably want to use. Is he their asset? Would love Niels but I'm not that naive. So may be looking at who other teams drop. Also see who misses out on the gp . They may be wanting a uk team.

Kings Lynn Vs Wolves ( Double Header) 23.08,17
Danny Connor replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
95 percent of the fans were great last night and the majority stayed til the end. It was a tough situation but we had to get the meetings in. Maybe having a rider on standby in hindsight would have been a good idea but what about the other 3 Needed. We rode that 2nd meeting with 3 riders and a novice and they were still riding their nuts off. I don't blame buster. Had the heat 4 incident not happened it would have been a really close 1st meeting. The dissentful fans were pretty much laughed at by the majority of those who stayed. They didn't need need to do a 5 pound refund on tickets but did. Wasn't a great night but you know, how's ya luck. On to the next -
Swindon Vs Kings Lynn 21 August 2017
Danny Connor replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not a bad effort from a lynn point of view, our set up means it's always likely somebody will have an off night. We are definitely improving though. Point would have been handy. What's with doyle sitting out of heat 15s and looking back at riders slowing down? Bit weird. Wasn't 1 for a neutral but I'm sure the Swindon fans were happy. Gutted this end though but good effort -

I'd recon it's because the new material has settled and we have riders now who are prepared to stick it in. Auty is a racer, jonason is a racer and it's a team full of riders with something to prove. When you have something to prove in anything you try harder. Also the opposition have been of a similar build. No out and out world class stars and no 3 pointers poodling around (well 1) so it's been very level. it will be interesting to see how it holds up after the 1st meeting Wednesday . Irecon 4 races for some lines to appear. The rest of that meeting producing racing then maybe slickening off to blue groove and dirt on the fence later on in the 2nd meeting. But I'm not going to pretend I have a clue about it. Buster normally rips it up for the 2nd half of the meeting but I don't know how many times you can effectively do that? I'd love to learn about track prep from some experts. For their opinions on things. We always here fans and riders views. Something for the speedway star in the winter maybe. -

Here here -
To be fair. They sorted the cocked up averages from last season pretty well.
-
Poole have done well to get him early on that average. Holder x2 Kurtz klindt Shanes and 1 more average fitting Brit. That's my prediction.
-
Yes hacksaw Jim duggan. I am. It won't make the leagues any less entertaining. Will make those leagues cheaper to run too. And maybe will give riders more incentive to find themselves teams abroad to progress. We may see the national team progress! No rider with a premiership average of over 6 should be eligible for championship team building. Maximum 3 double ups per team with the priority being given to the premiership team (with the exception of rearranged fixtures) There used to be strict rules in place but now lines have blurred to the point Harris lambert and cook double up. It's ridiculous
-
If the top rider from every 2nd tier team was replaced by the top dozen riders in the NL this would still be far from nl standard as a hyperthetical When your are getting top tier heat leaders riding in the 2nd tier this is a massive problem. When the conversion rate was 50% this was never a problem because the maximum allowable was a 6 point elite league rider. If those leagues had strengthened and weakened as 1 there wouldn't be any mess. Cook Harris Morris lambert masters worrall Lawson king grazionek holder should be dissuaded from riding 2leagues. where does it end, Chris holder, kk, Hans, It's messed up the order of things really. 2nd tier fans won't agree or 3rd but the 2 top leagues need to be further apart not closer together and the few double ups there would be would need to prioritize the senior league. That's the marketable league.
-
The top 2 leagues don't have enough riders to go round though. If you weaken it then maybe some of the professional 3rd teams may step up. A few more 2nd teams may run teams to bring riders on. The next crop of youths I have seen have been anything but wobblers. My nl team folded because of the league becoming too professional. It is a problem because 7 riders missed out . Those teams step up then they will be replaced with 2nd teams. I too like nl racing but there is a bigger picture

Brilliant. Makes so much sense to be honest, 2 meetings with a program would be 39 pounds. 27.50 is very reasonable. May even invest in some cheesey chips! This will be really interesting. I think we will have a narrow home win followed by a very close unpredictable 2nd meeting. I hope we have our gating gloves on. Lindgren thorsell masters and Schlien will be a good challenge for our top 4. On the flip side I think our reserves will own this. Of late schlien has moaned quite a bit and not really done his self to many favours from a pr perspective in my view. I'd love for him to have a poor showing but fear he will be very much in the points. -
Weaken the middle tier to 50% top league then more conference riders will have to step up to fill those gaps. Make the conference league an armature league. Allow double ups but with the understanding the higher league will always have priority. That will then make it less attractive to start he season with a high profile rider for the middle tier. And he more professional league will never be compromised . The problem is the middle tier is too strong. And the third tier has teams who should really be in a higher league. It used to be the top middle tier ridersmay make a good top league reserve. The 2leagues should have weakened and strengthened as a unit. Instead we now have too many middle tier riders at a top league standard.
-
Why stop polish riders riding over here? We need our riders to ride over there to improve. Maybe stabilise our top league. Substantially weaken our 2nd tier to the point where the conversion rate is 1/2 again and have our 3rd tier as a armature league like it used to be Then top championship riders will become available and British riders will fill team positions from the conference league. The weaker 2nd league will mean less riders of use to the top league in terms of double up. Probably only 2 positions really. More armature riders will get team positions in the cl too what should in theory bring more riders on. the top league should always have priority over double up riders because that's the flagship league in this country. Anything less than that is unprofessional .

Kings Lynn Stars Vs Leicester 16/08/17
Danny Connor replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Loving this team! Not enjoyed speedway this much since our 1st season rejoining the elite league! Every meeting has a buzz about it! Roll on next week!!! -
I believe Hans was one of the ring leaders in getting the Elrc at lynn called off for a grippy track some 7 years ago. The riders were split then. Hans was in good form and regarded as one of the worlds elite. I guess a rider who is at the top of his game makes a louder noise than the ones who are probably seen as replaceable. In a couple of years Time when holder is seen as an over priced 7 pointer who has rode for half the clubs in the league. Holder probably won't play up so much then because he will be seen as replaceable. If Thomas h scores 8 then he has replaced holder adequately already. The loss of troys scoring is more worth of talking about. But he seems as popular as a poo in a swimming pool. They are rock stars in their own eyes. Massive egos. When life isn't to their head in clouds standard then they spit their dummy out. It's no loss

I hate how people blame anybody but Coventry and Peterborough for the winter of discontent. Those two teams tried to hold a gun against the head of British speedway. As Coventry did before with the introduction of kylmakorpi mid season. Buster is the right man In charge. I get that some people will always hate authority figures because let's face it, when people do an important job with lots of responsibility it makes them an easy target ad if your own life is unfulfilling you probably have nothing better to do than critique them on a pointless forum. So what happens when the independent chairman is in charge. He makes a couple of decisions you don't like then threads like this will still exist

Poole Vs Rye House Thurs 10/8/17
Danny Connor replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Maybe Coventry style blackmailing to sign batchelor and holder to follow? "Sign them or we pull out" type thing -
Just read some of the posts on here. There are a few people who are making comments about that night who clearly weren't there. The guys deserved to go. If I had a team of self employed workers and 2 of them were a big problem as soon as things became tough then why not drop them. I do feel a bit for batchelor but pre season I asked holder a question about the polish 2 league rule and his answer was selfish. Pretty much "not my problem". Stuck with me that did. If that's his mentality on other topics too then no big loss. If batchelor wasn't out of a job then somebody else would be. He has been loyal to uk speedway but his attitude owes to do him any favours. To be honest. What ever the outcome there are no real winners. A lot of fans at lynn said if holder was there they wouldn't be. It's probable lynn will lose their main sponsor after this season after dropping their long term sponsor previous to replace them with holders main sponsor. We lose out on a playoff place but have a team the fans Feel comfortable watching. There is a lot of bitter sweet about it but the atmosphere amongst fans has improved 10 fold. It had been flat for the last couple of seasons. The last 2 meetings has been a buzz of such hasn't been felt since maybe our 2nd elite league season. The majority of us have been galvanised by this People naturally will be hardcore 1 way or the other. Personally I side with buster. And the majority of people that were there that night do too. If this was a different 7 point rider would people be kicking up a fuss, hougaard or bjerre or even kk. Wells . . .
-
It makes the polish league very marketable in the uk if a team was linked to a uk team. And vice versa. Maybe you would get a situation where a profitable polish club promotes a uk club in need of a promoter. Example being Birmingham. Cuts a deal with its own riders to pretty much ride for both teams where within the rules. They could train riders on both tracks. Also sell their own league to the uk fans. Merch etc I think it's unlikely but would be very interesting

I guess he has the rest of this year to put himself in the shop window for next year. Interesting how there always has to be somebody to pick holes in. Im not his biggest fan but if he can get it right then he will be a meeting winner for us -

I think porsing will start to improve at reserve to get some form. I don't think s lambert would have done much better vs Somerset. They have strength in depth and Kerr was on fire. Niklas seems very much a confidence rider. So this spell at reserve could get him going. With a team built like ours there will always be somebody with an off day. Just got to hope somebody has a great day to make up for it. That's the thing with 6-8 pointers. They can score 10 just as much as they can score 4. . .
