Nico covatti? That's going global and about the only rider I can think of outside of Europe who could be ok in the top league
-
I get the feeling you guys and Birmingham will end up with Steve Worrall. Troy bachelor. Lewis kerr. Etc. Maybe as a short term signing until somebody becomes available If somebody was serious about joining their would have been word on it by now.

Am I the only person who thinks this is daft. It may be good for Poole fans and if it wasn't for double up rules it could work. But as thing stand the conflicting riders thing should have made it a non starter. This makeshift team thing is like a friendly challenge select. Even if they were to get top class gp riders to even the gap it's a bit unfair as every other team needs riders who fully commit. Maybe run a shield for the winners of both competitions at the lower levels track. I remember a good challenge meeting at lynn vs Peterborough. El vs pl. Ended 44 vs 46. Was a cracker. If I'm wrong then sell it to me.

I don't think Oxford look terrible at all. Outside of Ipswich and Sheffield there's not much in it.

King's Lynn Stars 2025
Danny Connor replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Bel Vue quoted football prices as a way to justify ridiculous prices for the son. How did that work out. Speedway isn't football. It's a £20 sport including a program. The reason we pay more is because we love it. I just looked at ticket prices for normdl one day cricket at Essex £14 in advance. £17 on the day We all can compare apples and pears!! -
Oxford haven't announced janowski yet. Could it be........?

Hume is a likable relatable rider. I think he could be a fans favourite. You've a team with a lot of egos. Hume is the opposite! As an outsider I hope he does well for you. (Hope the other 6 flop mind you)

What's the inflation rate since the last price hike. Expect that (sadly). Any more than that is greedy. Any less is generous. -
Maybe it wasn't gilkes. What's the situation with josh bates. Maybe they tempted him to ride then he got cold feet??

Nobody is expecting cook to score 15 at number 1. I expect 7/8 in 4 rides. The thing is the whole team is capable of that also. That's all we need. Riders will have off nights. For every point 1 rider drops another has to gain!! I think we're going to be alright! -

According to Woffinden. Nothing official yet. I expect rowe probably will go to Sheffield but there's nothing to say that wasn't premature to announce it. -

I want tungate. I've got a feeling that'd be a good fit. 1 Tungate 2 Cook/Harris/basso 3 klindt 4 Iversen 5 kvech 6 Rowe 7 Jenkins If all else fails I'd probably settle for Robert lambert of course. -

Rohan Tungate could be a decent fit for us if Oxford go a different route. I could see him being a number 1 at home. It'd be a good rider/club fit -

Kings Lynn v Sheffield 6/6

I recon Ipswich have been sniffing around Lambert. Lambert to replace musielek. Musielek will ride for Ipswich. Cheaper option of getting Lambert in the team. Maybe cook for Toft on top of that. -
King’s Lynn vs Sheffield, May 16th 2024
Danny Connor replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Brady who had cash to splash. The problem is unless you are totally comitted then you jeopardise the future of the club. Tasserenko, wojdilo, basso and musielek are great signings, they are positives. A potential of a team with Robert Lambert after this season is a positive. Rob lyon is a positive. I'd rather keep buster who has saved this club than risk the long list of owners who have been at the help and allowed clubs to fail. I bet Coventry, rye House, Eastbourne, Newport, etc wish they had a buster. It's a shame Brady couldn't stick it. He ticked all the boxes. -
I don't thinkbany of these riders are poor signings. I just think the team is structured wrong. That top 2 are good riders. Zach cook is good. Worrall isn't bad either. Brennan is a good young rider too. The lampart gamble is OK. It's just a team with say pawlicki, milik, schlien, Worrall, cook, flint + whatever fits would have more ballance. This just feels like a load of riders chucked together. I hope they do well and hope they draw a crowd though.

I don't usually look on here or comment. But I see this and have some experience. A few weeks back I tested "non negative" in a multi drug tests at work. It was a saliva based one. 1 substance was inconclusive. I'm clearly not on methadone so we just shrugged it off and carried on in the name of common sense. If it did that for me then there must be loads of false "non negatives" out there for people. It happens. I hope he gets fair trial. Looks a bit lynch mobby on here. Obviously he's under more scrutiny than I was. He's tested negative shortly after in an official place. That's verification enough for me.

Will British Speedway Survive ?
Danny Connor replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'd go to speedway if it was on tonight and the lockdown wasn't in force. I'd probably wear gloves, maybe overclothes too. keep a distance where possible. strip overclothes before getting in the car. Sanitize. Shower straight after the meeting. I'm out there working currently as it is and doing most of these things. At the end of the day before I get in my car I do most of these things. It's almost routine now. It's almost normal. With common sense we could do things. There's just a lot of dumb people out there. And those dumb people will mean it will be very unlikely to get back to normal anytime soon. If it's before June I'll be astonished. Just to clarify dumb. I mean people getting within 2 meters. not washing their hands. Paying with cash. Not wearing gloves at petrol pumps. Smoking (but that's a separate issue). Not covering their faces when they cough. -
