That is certainly one thing that does get my back up. I thought / hoped that mechanics coming out etc etc and causing delays could very simply be dealt with, IF the sport is committed to it.

It would need to be The Messiah ( for those who do believe in Him ) because I suspect that no-one else can work the necessary miracle and turn around Buster's way of doing things, I fervently hope that I am wrong but Buster let so much slide last year and no one else stood up to the plate ( as far as we know or were told ). Autocratic decisions were made so many times ( call offs, double headers, track prep. etc ). It all brought home to me that despite the spin the BSPA put on SGB, it is very much like a non league soccer operation.

Not much is stirring in my enthusiasm for the new season. I might go sometimes if the weather looks set fair for sure AND if the opposition has an attractive lineup. But compared to 10 years ago when I just couldn't wait for Tapes Up, I can hardly be bothered now. And it's not because I am growing older it's because speedway is in such a mess. Last season when Scott Nicholls was allowed to ride for BOTH sides in a major event final, brought home to me that it had become totally Mickey Mouse. And this year he is not allowed to ride in the league at all! Bring it on on TV , I love it all and will be taking out a subscription to watch Polish League matches. And go very occasionally to local matches, where the atmosphere is weak, woeful and empty.

I would have thought that with a new promoter and a media person appointment, one of the initiatives for 2018 would have been an open channel of feedback so that the new promoter could hear of the ideas and opinions of fans re why a number of them of them felt disenchanted. Sweeping "bad years" under the carpet and merely urging fans to "move on", serves no purpose whatsoever. Hearing from any disillusioned fans should be seen as helpful as the KLS promotion could then address some of those issues, ready for the start of the 2018 season. Another lost opportunity?

I agree but this is only about the UK. It will thrive longer in Poland and possibly Sweden.
-
What is the point of the forum if any response to a posting ( which is what mine was ) is whingeing? It's just an interactive comment. Perhaps we should ask the "everything in the KLS garden is rosy" posters to desist a the same time? My point merely said, in a different way, the point made above!

That is certainly the case - we will see, after say four meetings how many of the "majority" of fans are happy. Happy enough to keep on turning up or demonstrate their feelings by walking away. Much, yet to be done by the promotion in terms of responding to the VFM question.

I too live in hope and have been for the same number of years but the 2018 season will be my last, if the race night experience is not dramatically improved in terms of better racing, crisper meetings and fans being truly at the centre of the event ( i.e. the impact on them of what's going on ). And I very much agree that anyone who posts their honest opinion should not be deemed a "moaner". Until you can get the basics right e.g. replying promptly to emails etc, very little will have improved. Good communication in a two way relationship with the supporters should be a high priority.

Indeed it is and he is also the most worthy World Champion for a number of years. What he has achieved is remarkable and he is truly a great role model for many younger riders.

In speedway, darts or F1 - pop them all into a burka and problem solved. They will add female "glamour" with their smiles but remain modest.

Is the league stronger in 2018?

An excellent idea that won't be taken up anytime soon - sadly. Yes I hope we will have lots of close racing with close scores but I am not holding my breath for hope of the same, at the one track where I can watch speedway. When they do write the book on the demise of UK speedway, such ideas as the practice sessions as above will be held up as something that was never tried but might have turned things round.. -
That is the usually vain hope in building speedway teams - IF "X" returns to what he used to be. Doing that is one of the most difficult things to pull off. I can't see it happening with Proctor. His days of being "full of potential" are well in the past.

Tonight's the night! THIS is what we have been waiting for! Just How Amazing can it be? Is it just like the Music Hall style "amazing" - where every other act was truly stupendous and unlike anything that had gone before them? I hope that medical facilities are on hand to cope with stupefied members of the audience.

So the problem of "My way or the highway" is still there, or perceived to be. A fan's forum should be a sharing of views and the offering of feedback. It may not be a rubbish team but any fans going should feel free to comment on it's strengths or weaknesses. Is Brundle going to make a difference in the promotional team or will the "rod of iron" method continue?

That is why Buster is one of the "richest" promoters, although "least poor" sounds more appropriate. The Stars team so far, fails to re-ignite my interest even with the likelihood of NKI returning. I would rather have seen Doyle signed or Lindgren for some "freshness".

" Undreamt of " is what Buster promised us for 2108 and he couldn't have been more correct. If, that is, it equals a nightmare - going nowhere team.
-
that's the key part ( and no dig at Aces High ) that's why the sport is where it is, in the UK now.
-
Just as with Terry Betts and Michael Lee - Bums on Seats really counted and I think without Lambert there would Bums off Seats to some extent at least.

We are not far from that 100% boycott anyway. The end is nigh unless the product is greatly improved and the presentation brought into the 21st century. So you may be right, it doesn't matter very much , who - if anybody gets a discount.
-
We all know the tale of how he beat Tai Woffinden around KL - once. But most of his other rides were poor or often very poor.
-
It might be time for a four match boycott from the start of 2018 by all those who qualify for ( and need to take the discount ) some tracks would lose 25 / 30 % ion the crowd,
-
Old habits die hard, very hard. But if Buster wants KL speedway to pick up again he must do that.

Only two Friday's to go before the Drums Roll and the Trumpet Fanfare of the Fan's Forum - the excitement rises to hysteria level in the new "undreamt of changes and improvements" policy of the new promotion. Having seen the return of a football playing striker returning to low level Lincoln on the national TV news, I am expecting NKI ( if indeed it is he at No.1 ) to at least do a flyby of the East Anglia region in a Lancaster bomber and parachute onto the centre green at the AFA. Ot is it to be Gino Manzares arriving on a Jet Pack - that should make the news! That is what I call undreamt of. Which will it be that makes real headlines outside of East Anglia?
