Would add to his guarantee - media work. Or he would need to employ a PR Manager and that would bump up the cost per match.

Kings Lynn v Leicester Lions 4/7/2018

Same old, same old tired KLS. No changes here ( except fitter riders ). How lucky we are that we have no Nicaraguan riders, think what a headache that would have been for the Team Manger. -
Was it a leak or was it a "fact" that we would we told something on Tuesday ( the one just passed)? Not only for Rye House it really is very dangerous for the whole sport, if this is not a one club wobble but a sport-wide earthquake. My view of it is that it must have closed because it is no longer open. It's last fixture was cancelled. I hope someone. sometime corrects my assumption.

A terrific track of the same name by The Kipper Family. Great music and very funny Sid Kipper, a talented man from Trunch. -
Poole Pirates Vs Belle Vue Aces 4/7/18

Not if last night in Sweden is anything to go by! Track problems with too much rain, too much high water table, too much of the wrong shale too many holes and now too much sun. At King's Lynn we have had too much wind as well. Soon it will be too many fans in the stadium for Health and Safety to accept. That is one problem I can't see cropping up in the UK any time soon. -
I thought the new KLS Media Person ( young Ms Buster ) would have tweeted this as soon as it was known ( NKI's hokey cokey ) or even have been in digital contact with Esbjerg early on Monday morning. Perhaps because Pearson is still our web mouthpiece and he is between GPs he could not sort it out and thus knock any rumours on the head. With all these co-promoters, media staff and dogsbodies at KLS perhaps everybody thought somebody else would do it and nobody did?
-
Massive international co-operation then. Speedway could be saved in the UK by such selfless attitudes, Just would have been nice to have been told on Monday.
-
Hurray! Most of the uncertainty removed. But why not by the club officially?
-
Muffled bells and a funereal tone with black edging? Negotiations for a takeover or team swap fell down? Or RH could have been bought by a prominent promoter for £1.
-
And if he does not ride tonight then they will not merely have shot themselves in any lower limb left without a bullet hole but have turned off the KLS "life support".
-
As have the long drawn out BSPA negotiations. If the rumour I heard was that a prominent Championship team were going to take over the Rye House position in the Premiership and vice versa mid-season. That's a lot to talk about IF it is more than a rumour. A real House of Cards that would be. Has to be a fantasy?

I really hope that the rumours ( I stress the word rumours ) that NKI is not riding at the AFA are wrong. The KLS website does say he will be riding in the UK but the official team sheet there in Denmark also says the same. Without an in-form Iversen and MP Toft it will be a very difficult match. -
NO. All that" things will change and we will have a better relationship with fans". Buster cannot change his ways and he cares not one whit for the KLS fans. They might love the club but clearly, he does not or those fans who used to pour into Saddlebow Road.

More & More will obviously walk away from the KL Stars United V Some Other United. Ridiculous!
-
Does anyone know of the likely teams for Weds V Leicester? Rumours anyone re missing Danes? I did not start a new thread for this because there seems to be little interest in it.

The continuing decline of Speedway
waytogo28 replied to wealdstone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I agree but "looking into things" is far from one of the best traits of the BSPA. It is a good idea and SHOULD be looked into but don't hold your breath. They should do a lot more with the BT coverage to attract new people along with tempting offers. The venue for the AGM is yet to be sorted. Luxor? -
I am in favour of BT and greatly enjoy their broadcasts BUT the Rye House meeting was a very poor advert for "speedway racing near you" and the Wolverhampton one was nearly as bad. However you advertise it, the product it is not much cop ( UK league racing ) and that reflected in the very poor attendances in the stadium. Had it said "Get a taste of speedway for only £10 next week at Rye House" I believe it would have drawn a much better crowd. Even if they were disappointed on the night!
-
Only the seemingly "clueless" qualify as potential new promoters nowadays. An essential part of the £9.95p bond they have to put up. The problem really is - how to find such candidates.
-
Yahoo! It's July and time for the stadium to be dropped into place with all sections interlocked. Are all of the parts on site?

The continuing decline of Speedway
waytogo28 replied to wealdstone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Closer racing I reckon. Please, NO turbocharged mobility scooters and NO tuners permitted. And NO underweight jockeys either. -
Fans don't "lose" their club. The promoters give up with their feeble or nonexistent marketing efforts and choose to close down. Customers may choose not to go on whatever day of the week they wish. At whatever age they may be. Losing another club through the inability of the BSPA to get their latest diktat right, is the problem collectively of promoters. And ultimately another team opponent to ride against is lost. It looks as if Poole, Swindon(?), Wolverhampton and King's Lynn will be left to race against each other time and time again.
-
Can't see it. History tells us that they will contrive yet another rule change ( in the interests of the sport ) or structural card castle that will fall down three months after the BSPA put it up.
-
It was an earlier leak that told us "there might be news on Tuesday". That, at least could have been confirmed by either RH or the BSPA but they chose to let speculation continue.

SGB championship fours 1st July redcar
waytogo28 replied to SuperBear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You don't know me, you have made your judgemental assumption because of half a dozen posts you don't like. Says much more about you than me. I am not "anti promoter" just anti the ones who have ripped speedway to pieces over the past 20 years. I know that some of the poor deluded promoters have lost their homes because they continued to back their club etc etc But many of them care little about the decline and destruction of the sport of speedway in the UK. Should the cap fit, wear it. -

Indeed! So much about speedway IS ridiculous. How it's run and the rules that are brought in etc etc. All that is swept away when we see a classic, close race with skilful passing. That party of the sport remains magical. Four riders on their bikes, giving it their all.
