Just as speedway is dying from a lack of interest and support on the terraces, the BSF is dying in the same manner because of those more interested in twit for tat insults than speedway. A bit like the BSPA. Go Doyley ( just to keep this on topic ). And I am a fan of him.

Leicester v Kings Lynn Monday July 16th

With the current state of attendances in UK speedway, the IQ, gender, race, colour or creed of paying customers hardly matters. -

Yes. That is the answer we get from the facts. The website is updated when Pearson has time and he is always very busy. Nothing will change for the better, in the way that KLS interacts with its fans, while Buster is the owner. -

And if you are not on Facebook? Please post if there is a new signing in place of Lewis Kerr. -
Jonathan Chapman - It's Your Time

Although I dream about one person ( or a small committee ) running UK speedway I cannot see the Old Guard letting control out of their hands. If they could have done, they would have acted 5 years ago. They see no need, as I think they still believe they can turn it around. They would rather see it all crumble than allow someone else to take all the key decisions. -
Loadsa Euros.

Belle Vue v Somerset 16/7 BT Sport
waytogo28 replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
How lucky we are, us poor souls who can't get there ( and who have BT ). I am being serious! I would have paid £10 on Pay Per View if we had such a thing. were it not on BT. Much looked forward to - please get plenty of water down to assist those dashes from the back. -
Why is it so very difficult to put it on the Stars website? There are now more media savvy staff at KLS ( we are told ) than before. Does Pearson have a cast iron No One But Me Can Add to the website contract?

KIDS GO FREE AT SUMMER SPEEDWAY!
waytogo28 replied to Dave1964's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Clubs that don't let kids in free over the summer ( and up to 16 and if they have full-time student status and NUS cards ) are missing out on attracting the 2nd generation already missed. Of course, you have to publicise it locally as well! -
They must be fair. It's Poole.

We just do not know. They do not know. No-one knows.
-
Probably permitted now "in the best interests of the sport".

The "boy" with lots of promise, turned into the man with the speedway world at his feet. Some superb races last night leading to the top step of the podium. Go Lambo Go. Match, what match, where? What team, who? KLS will soon be making Team Lineup announcements at the turnstiles.

Virtually. -
We already have three matches in a week at King's Lynn in July. As we look unlikely to get to the playoffs perhaps it does not matter ( except for other teams who may need to ride against us before the deadline ).

Jonathan Chapman - It's Your Time
waytogo28 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think a very high percentage of fans see it the same way and have no belief that the BSPA can grasp the state speedway has come to. It is going to end up something like you suggest. Sad but true. No more false "New Dawns " will achieve anything except extinction. -
2010/11 the beginning of the end

If Philip Rising is not posting tongue in cheek re UK regularly attending supporters, totalling less than 25,000, we might as well as give up now. with all thoughts of a revival. -
I hope that you are not so well informed on this as you are on other things!? Less than 25,000 If it's much less than that then it's "game over" without a doubt.
-
Let's be honest, there are probably not more than 25,000 speedway supporters regularly attending UK league matches. It cannot be so difficult, using modern digital technology to get their opinion. AND also take written replies by post. I would volunteer to collate such replies and could rustle up one or two others to help as well.

They have not listened to anyone, as far as I know, or asked any fans or groups of fans about preferences. The BSPA should be going ahead with a survey of the type recently posted ( which was first done 20 years ago ). They neither welcome nor acknowledge feedback from their customers. Such businesses usually end up by closing down. I agree with your choice myself.
-
Like all dictators, they believe that what they are doing ( and how they do it ) is the Right Way and the Only Way. They are unlikely to step aside and therefore need to be toppled in some way, Perhaps only the death of UK league speedway will achieve that. Like other failed promoters in the past, they will show no remorse for their actions or how they refused to listen.

Jonathan Chapman - It's Your Time
waytogo28 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Estranged to all intents and purposes. No "candidate" is going to be perfect but Jonathan Chapman ( with the financial backing and full authority to make decisions that will be held to by all participating promotions ) is the ideal man in my opinion. -
For the last five years of the Sky money, Niels was the No1 and paid well over the odds to be so. That is a fact. Indisputable. As were leading riders for the years before him at most tracks. That is how they were "held". That is how the bulk of the Sky monies was disposed of. Top league promoters felt they were competing with the rise of the sport in Poland and of the Big paydays & Big money and also in Sweden, where cash was splashed. For whatever reasons it did not work here. Perhaps they did not assemble a team with enough Big Names in them to replicate the crowd pulling power as it did abroad. Perhaps they did not invest enough of their own resources and thought that the TV money would be enough. Who knows? It will remain a secret taken to the grave of current and ex-promoters. Something like "omerta" does exist within speedway.

With three home fixtures coming up within a week at the AFA, is there any discount scheme planned to entice supporters to all three? Or are we supposed to have saved up the money while there were no fixtures arranged?
