  1. Regardless of his co-promoter/s ( or frontman ) at each of his tracks. It is Buster who makes these strengthening up decisions at his three tracks.
  2. KL are already a very different team, with the addition of Cook and soon Riss will be back. If they can't get into the top four ( of a pitiful seven ) with that team then I will be stunned.
  3. If their peak avatars are riding then, Hey it could be a hell of a battle on that track.
  4. Can't imagine that the Buster "Monster" would even contemplate a portion of humble pie. I am in the camp of those who believe it was a planned outcome all along ( since Buster took over the three clubs ). Thus "The Monster Deal Maker" on the chessboard of UK speedway waves his wand.
  5. Getting more and more like 1960s TV wrestling. Grunt and groan all for show and the result well fiddled everywhere.
  6. It's going to fold even with Buster's intervention. And take a big chunk of his money ( or someones who eagerly backed him and can afford to lose big ).
  7. Change her professional name to Lanning ( not even necessary by deed poll ) or doesn't nepotism work that way?
  8. Haza, this is close to mutiny, such a suggestion! Don't you know that you have to "bleed" for the club?
  9. It's not just Matt Ford that "doesn't understand" why numbers are dropping. Every promoter ( except possibly the IOW ) fall into the category of " none so blind as them that don't want to see". Rose tinted spectacles about the state of UK speedway - until they add up the hard-earned pennies of the punters who have been understanding the dropping VFM of paying at the turnstiles for the last 5 - 10 years at least. Not speedway, perhaps motorcycle rodeo at Poole?
  10. Unbelievably so! Has Buster learnt anything from his apparent transformation of the Peterborough track recently? Is he using the same material there? If tracks can be transformed it's time Saddlebow Rd was blessed in the same way and the fans given much more on track excitement.
  11. The BSPA have proved time and time again that they are incapable or unwilling to improve the product that people pay to see. Poor racing surfaces, not unexpected at a new track like Swindon but inexcusable at a long established track like Poole. What happened to track inspectors and do referees have no role in deciding if track conditions are safe or not? As for improving the show - laughable attempts at for example stopping gardening and tactical delays decided by team managers which extend the grading and tractor racing joys. Oddly suddenly great racing returned to the Peterborough track with hardly any between races grading. Hmmm. The leadership of the BSPA pay lip service ( if that ) to their customers and any business that does that will go extinct. As for the televised matches, this season they show the by now usual scene of a handful of elderly fans in an almost empty stadium and very boring follow the leader racing ( sorry motorcycle riding )in 80% of the heats. What a way to attract new customers!
  12. What next? Where next? Well, now we know. It's King's Lynn and hopefully Proctor out ( and Riss back in as soon as he is fit ). A reasonable team then the Stars, worth watching ( after a further adjustment at reserve ).
  13. And shortly to buy one more track? That would tighten his grip on UK "top" league speedway. His way finally becomes the only way!
  14. The problem seems to be that the promotion is half in and half out. Why not sell out to Buster Chapman ( for a modest sum ) so that a majority of tracks can be under the control of one owner? When a recent World Champion says it's dangerous I accept his word as he has never been faint-hearted.
  15. You must know that he says himself he loves King's Lynn. First and foremost, now and forever. He wears his heart on his sleeve you might say, so why pretend, anyway, he is the boss ( lock, stock and barrel ). Master of his whole domain. Striding across UK speedway like a giant.
  16. Simon's face fits, which seems to be the case usually. For whatever reason, he is the reserve of choice.
  17. Well, that seems the most likely thing to do. 10x UK in Poland and 5x UK in Sweden it would make you feel sick to ride in the UK for so much less. What's Up Doc?
  18. This is much more likely ie they haven't got any plan at all. If only your first thought of what might be behind un - spectator friendly nights were true. Out of this world thinking for promoters. At the behest of riders almost certainly correct. I believe that a reasonable level ( ie more like the Swedish broadcast level than BT ) could make money for BV. I would pay for an NSS match stream. Other racing is on average, not worth streaming, judging by the first two BT matches.
  19. Sadly never, under the present regime, who seem to have the blessing of other BSPA members. The blindness of promoters is, of course, their business choice but any of them who expect a serious turn around in attendance figures is deluded. Being on social media will not bring millions, thousands or even hundreds to their turnstiles.
  20. With a hide almost as thick as a rhinoceros Buster will not notice externally ( but internally will be far from amused I am sure ). He does deserve the boos though as if it does all come about, it seems as if the sponsorship spat was a cover for something else. Roost ruling no doubt! I hope that now Buster has found the way to turn the manure at Alwalton into a racetrack - please let it be repeated at Saddlebow Rd. We deserve such racing as Thursday turned out to be.
  21. You might well be right, given the past adoration of him by the promotion - but I hope you lose your money ( nothing personal! )
  22. There may never have been any integrity among those who have run speedway since 1928 ( or 1923 - see even the birth of the sport is lost in the mists of time ). If there ever was it's a small minority for sure. Most have been wannabe Arthur Daleys.
  23. All it needs is a little bit of Buster's TLC ( tractor lapping care ) and it will stay that way. It's not that he has forgotten how to prepare a good track, he just doesn't know how to do it with the free manure.
  24. It all depends on who is wielding the chequebook and if there any "afters" from the "sponsorship rights" affair. Either it was all nonsense what we were told about no Cook at Pboro or someone has backed down, but if it happens it's a win-win really. One gets a job and the other get's the job done.
  25. If only there were ( when it happens - as seems likely ) but sadly supporters on the terraces soak up any kind of garbage re. team or rule changes with hardly a murmur. Promoters can assume safely that anything goes - as it does. In the best interest of the sport of course. And up the costs to fans as & when they feel like it ( programmes, admission etc ). Recipe for the managed decline of the sport ( or is it mismanaged?). There are often calls for a UK speedway "Overlord", well if Buster buys another one or two clubs we will have one. Titter ye not!
