Swindon sign Stefan Nielsen as an asset in Oct and then he does not appear in the team. Is it true that he has retired...... if so then very disappointing that he has retired.
-
Definitely depends on rarity. A friend got £ 100 for malmo 1961 world final and that was quite some time ago.

Leave Poole on the Poole thread. I hope everything works out for Coventry in 2017 and more importantly that they have a long term future beyond the present agreement.

Speedway has ebbed and flowed since the early glory days. There is no reason to think that the only way is down..... it will make a comeback.
-
Strange that Stefan becomes a Swindon asset and he is not signed.....seemingly a case of averages not fitting in. Stefan is a talented rider who I hope will step up a level in 2017
-
Disagree. Talented ..definitely Trouble is he is inconsistent. . Even in the Championship League for Newcastle
-
Having a year away from Poole will be beneficial to Chris. Good luck in 2017 at Lynn.
-
Pleased that Clegg is back. I would like to see him develop in to a good second string in 2017. He has ability and it is time for him to step up a level in this league.
-
Hopefully an announcement before Xmas will confirm the new promoters and all will be revealed. Councils always work at their pace.
-
A testimonial is meant for 10 consecutive years riding so Tai's time slot does not qualify. Simple really !!!!
-
Pleased that Belle Vue are in the NL but bemused as to the sharing with Coventry.... I guess they are trying to avoid. 2 meetings in a week.
-
Leicester can certainly tap the Lakeside void and hopefully have a much more competitive team in 2017.
-
The Colts meetings were excellent value and also plenty of entertaining racing once the Colts got used to the track. I do hope the Colts are back under the new promotion.
-
Scunthorpe is a super track and regularly gives high quality entertainment. I only miss Scunthorpe when the forecast is not good.
-
Somerset will be a middle order team and will progress with the passage of time. Far better to get settled in the top league rather than financially overspend right at the beginning of a new era.
-
Good luck in 2017.

Being retired helps !!!! If the weather is good and there is a meeeting that I fancy then I go....
-
Nice to see three locals in the team... well 3 from Cumbria anyway. Will be up to visit when I can.
-
Interesting side that could develop during the season One thing for sure is that the standard of racing will no doubt be top notch as usual..one of my favourite tracks.
-
Good side and a good track. Will visit Redcar as often as possible.

Does British Speedway Have Future?
Gunner85 replied to Pieman72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
In my first two years, the National League ( top league ) contained only 7 teams and had home and away twice as well as the National trophy to fill out the fixtures. In the third year , the British league was formulated with 19 teams in one league .This was the start of Speedway moving back up and eventually peaking again in later years. We are at the present a long way from that lows of 63 and 64. To me the biggest problem is that a lot of the lower income earners are stil struggling and have very little disposable income on Speedway or other sports. Once people have more disposable income , crowds will begin to move upwards significantly. The actual product is still good.... if the promoters were more pro active then it would help. -
Fricke is WU 21 champion and a Belle Vue asset. Keeping him is a must for the future of Belle Vue long term.
-
Nice compliment from Chris Louis : You cannot see a season at The NSS without being inspired by the quality of the racing and wanting to alter your own track to improve the racing. Perhaps he should be talking to the new Leicester promoters

Would not touch Batchelor... whatever his ave was.
