This winter has been horrendous for ACES FANS as well as Coventry and Leicester but I remain perfectly confident that we will be racing.... the waiting for the official announcement has been a continual stop/start over the last few eeeks.

Les was a brilliant racer whereas Lawson is no more than a good rider and boring to watch.

Very disappointed that George is not involved. Equally if Richie is not in the side , that is equally disappointing as he stood by Belle Vue over the winter.

Let us not forget that clubs are expected to sell Cardiff tickets even though they are available on the internet. All clubs get an allocation as far as I know.

Has the track been reshaped as suggested by Chris Louis during the winter ?

There is no doubt that there is /was a lot of jealousy amongst the BSPA once the stadium was up and running. I was appalled to see that some clubs would not sell British Final tickets. Whatever happened in 2016 ,the Belle Vue promoters did a tremendous job to get the NSS up and running and the NSS is a flagship that shows what Speedway stadiums should be aiming towards.

Now Belle Vue Speedway 2017 exists as a Company perhaps announcements will be made soon.

With Craig back in the tam I foresee a good upturn in Workington's fortunes. Apart from his individual performance , I am sure he will upgrade the team spirit. The best part is the side now have 3 Cumbrians in the side.

Good luck in 2017. Probably a Sheffield flavour in terms of riders...most importantly a resolved situation.

So when it all bolls down to it this is an argument over whether there is stock cars at Coventry this year or not. I am pleased for the Coventry fans if this works out but dismayed at the apparent reasons behind all this delay and confusion.

The Ben fund is about raising money and most riders treat it as blowing of the cob webs after their winter break. It is a great fund raiser and long may it continue.

You are quite right regards the procedure which has been in place for many years. Even so , there are examples throughout the last few decades where the form has been signed in the knowledge that monies were owed.

I hope he enjoys his retirement from riding.... it would be nice if he could be involved in bringing on the British youth riders... I well remember a brilliant race from in Heat 15 @ Scunthorpe where he reeled in Josh Auty and then on the last bend he hugged the white line and overtook Josh to win the race. Lots of other great racing in recent seasons...

Nice to see a comprehensive account of the day. In real terms the most important thing now is to move forward. However there is still a lot to be discovered over last year and equally this should come out. Once agin it is good to get some factual info out instead of rumour / exaggerated rumour.

We know the Bspa have set up a deal re these engines. But how many were available and how many have been bought ?

When the facts are known ,then I think you will find that neither MCC nor the Belle Vue promotion will be shown to be blameless. It will be good to see facts rather than rumour / exaggeration of rumours. At the end of the day the most important aspect is that Belle Vue race in 2017 and beyond.

When I parked next to a Leicester fan, I asked how life was with DH in charge. The Leicester fan said and I quote : Helmsley is an arrogant bastard who does not listen to anyone but himself. Personally , I have given up going to Leicester since the track is poor.

I am happy with Sunday and a change to 1730 is ok...... much better than a 1500 hrs start. Will be there as often as possible in 2017.

Hearn is Real promoter and is in sole charge....hence the success. I doubt the Bspa would let the reins go.
