  1. Good start from Kyle Bickley. Luke Woodhull had a good first ride followed by 100% effort afterwards. 3 maximums fron the main team was most welcome.
  2. Great to see your efforts in training schools and breeding as much British talent as possible. Well done. I hope your efforts @ Plymouth reep the rewards you deserve.
  3. Pleased to see Stefan in the side. He is is a great racer and a pleasure to watch.
  4. The crowd at Scunthorpe looked a bit slim. The racing was excellent... Rob deserves better crowds Hopefully when the new rearranged team is announced then it will encourage more people to come.
  5. Excellent racing with good riding from both sides. Rob has a plan so no doubt team changes will be announced shortly.
  6. The double points rule makes the sport look Micky mouse. Try explaining it to a football fan and they will probably laugh. It is like saying Liverpool are Winning 3 - 0 so if the opponents score they can have 2 goals for the price of one and make the score 3 - 2 and therefore more interesting. I wish they would remove it completely f on the rules.
  7. I gave up going to Stoke a few years ago. Track dreadful with poor promoters. When the Tatums leave, I will go back I used to go regularly when John Dews did the track and enjoyed the racing as he was a great track curator
  8. Good win after a shaky start and all round a good team performance. Fricke was on fire. !!!! Palm-toft rode very well for Leicester whereas King was disappointing
  9. Tougher match now MPT Is in for Auty. Another home win is on the cards but it may be a bit close for comfort.
  10. Very poor team performance at Redcar. Bad luck re Nico Changes afoot?
  11. Coming up for this fixture. Garcia got 9 pd 10 from reserve at Redcar last year at reserve.. but poor once in the team. So he can ride the track... give him a chance Redcar.
  12. Good win for mildenhall. Bewley made the difference ..... Meeting took an eternity to get through.
  13. In general , I am tired of meetings being dragged out unnecessarily. For example 2 hrs 45 for 23 races at Sheffield. 2 hrs for 15 heats of a league match. Some promoters need to get their act together re time taken to run a meeting.
  14. Living in the outskirts of Britain , I gave up relying on newsagents for my SS. With a subscription, I have not had problems.... arrives Thursday except Bank holiday weeks when it is Friday.
  15. KK let both Coventry and Birmingham down. I don't. Know why promoters bother with him.
  16. When the track was heavy at the start, there was grip everywhere. As it dried out the entertainment value was good. Good win. Wolves probably changing reserves as soon as they can..
  17. Forget the big score line. We had Super racing. Great team effort from alll 7 Aces. Could not have asked for a better start to our home matches.
  18. Good result for the Aces. Top 5 only had one last in their programmed rides. Reserves picked up points including Jack's first win.
  19. We have to accept that the ELITE league is dead. It had been diluted in the recent past. This is a new era with the top two leagues closer than before. Far better to ask the BSPA to get the promoters to encourage track preparation which will encourage racing.
  20. The Aces were on Granada reports tonight. Has anyone got copy footage from tonight ?
  21. One good race in heat 15. Small amount of passing elsewhere. Big crowd but disappointingly, it took 1hr 45 for 15 one minute races. That is 7 minutes per race where the race lasts one minute. The PLRC LAST YEAR 2 hrs 45 for 23 races. I had 8 meetings penned in for Sheffield this year... I have now dropped that down to two and will look elsewhere to fit more meetings in.
  22. When you are at Edinburgh ask about the Speedway museum in Edinburgh.... you might be lucky and it could be one of the weekends that they open up. There is a video on line called cinder to shale which previews the museum
  23. Pleased to see the Traditional race jacket. So many good memories are evoked.
  24. When I started watching at Hyde road , there used to be 13 heats for the league match, approx 10 min interval and 10 races in the second half. Start 1900 hrs , always out before 2100 hrs as they wanted people spending money on the fairground.
