  1. For Swedish fixtures type in svemo and get the online Swedish federation web page. For polish fixtures type in Pzm
  2. The kids love him and like doing high fives and having their photo taken with him. Long may he reign
  3. Made my mind up at 0830 this morning. Forecast far too iffy to drive all the way to Workington or any other away track for that matter
  4. Missing riders / guests / rider replacement is now rampant in our sport. It is a rarity to have 2 complete teams !!!!!
  5. Bridger had a practice after a meeting at Belle Vue recently. I believe that he is now local to Belle Vue after marrrying a Northern girl.
  6. Doyle is 32 whereas .Cook is 30. Doyle has only recently begun to be a force to be reckoned with in the SGP So there is no reason to think that Craig Cook can't follow in his footsteps.Craig is 10 races away from the SGP. BACK THE BRITS
  7. The most important thing is to have a good knowledgeable announcer. No presenter on the centre green is better than a poor one who can do damage. For many years at Hyde road we had Bernard Tennant and Ken Wrench who were both good announcers and there was no need for a centre green presenter. Dick Barrie had a stint at Belle Vue... he was entertaining as long as you realised he was just trying to be witty and entertaining with no real malice intended.. unless you took him literally in which case you might have been annoyed with some of his comments
  8. Hope that new signings are on the horizon and Scunthorpe have a good meeting.
  9. Perhaps this topic could get back to the actual Final . Last year's final had some great racing despite the rain coming down for the last hour or so. Hopefully good weather on the 19th and another night of good racing at the NSS.
  10. With no rolling aves and new averages after 4 h and 4 a, then the promoters have had a field day strengthening up by " fiddling " their averages. In this case it is more exaggerated due to Chris's high starting ave. Once again promoters set up rules that can be used to strengthen up during the season Is it any wonder that the media show so much disdain to Speedway ?
  11. Hope that Rob can sort out a good signing after Josh's retirement. Scunthorpe deserve a bit of luck after the recent bad run re injuries etc.
  12. Now sky are not involved I would like the meeting to go to a Saturday next year and have the chance of a really good crowd.
  13. Well done to Ben Woodhull on what I assume is his first NL MATCH.... 13 points.
  14. Glad to see that Buxton now have a good top two in the team. Perhaps now they can move forward after a disappointing start which was beyond their control once Ellis played up.
  15. NL speedway is better than none at all. Watching the young riders progress.... hope the Coventry faithful back the NL If it happens... Similarly hope Plymouth fans keep the numbers up and Speedway continues there for a long time.
  16. Max is flying out of Manchester on Saturday morning .
  17. Sadly when they introduce new averages after 4 home and 4 away with rolling averages now defunct it opens up a shedfull of fiddling to strengthen up..... back to the bad old days of easy to fiddle averages.
  18. Now Wolves have added Schlein and Riss to the side they are a very powerful unit. Strong favourites to take the title
  19. Incorrect. Try looking at Denmark..... league racing for 85 cc and 50 cc.... some clubs have two teams in the same league. Not only are the volume of riders much higher but also the number of meetings are much greater. Britain has improved but has a long way to go yet. We should be having second halves with these juniors in right through the season..... but only in school holidays and weekends
  20. Now that riders can cry off for various reasonsin the NL........ like can't get the time off work plus a multitude of other reasons it opens the floodgates for abuse.
  21. Great value at £10 for adults , £8 for concessions and u18s free. Should be an entertaining meeting whatever the scoreline.
  22. So proud of both Aces reLonigo Delighted for Craig and Max
  23. Racing finished 10 PM. 150 mins for 21 one minute races.... dragged out or what?
