  1. Thank you for the info. Robert is a talented rider who hopefully will go up the Speedway ladder. There have been times when he has been missing and I have not seen any reason I spoke to Robert in Macon this year.... he was very approachable and I wish him all the best
  2. Lambert rode for Lublin last Sunday.... missing from Newcastle on Monday night... Why??? Hope they move this meeting to a decent track next year..... no chance in hell of me going to Glasgow whilst it is such a poor track
  3. The rule is you can’t race any further after an abandonment....just shows that they make the rules up as they go along.
  4. Once again the BSPA confirm that rules and regulations mean nothing. Make the rules up as you go along. Earlier this year Stoke curtailed the first leg of a double header at 10 heats so they can complete the second match. rules clearly state that if you abandon a match no further racing can take place I am sick and tired of the way the sport is being run Speedway ... a sport run in an amateurish way by people who pretend it is a professional sport No wonder there are no big time sponsors in British Speedway
  5. With the number times David Mason has missed meetings and rr has been used ...better check if promoter replacement is available on the weeks that it may be required
  6. The Colts have all the motivation they need. Due to clashes they have had to go away with 2 or 3 riders missing whereby the scores have been depressed on what you would expect. Great expectations from both sides
  7. Coming down to the meeting. A long time since I last went. In the British league days it would be Aces on Saturday night,....leave on the supporters coach at 2300 hrs.... arrive in Brighton ... kip on the beach... breakfast early morning....coach pick up to take us to Arlington early afternoon... fond memories
  8. The work done on the track post 1830 converted the track from a quagmire in to a good racing track. The 5-1 from Craig and Jack was a delight to watch with Jack involved in the race of the night albeit only 6 races. Andy Meredith and his track staff deserve a great deal of credit. Good racing... shame about the further rainfall when the track was converted back to one which was unraceable Hope Monday is a better forecast.
  9. Doubling up is rife because there are not enough riders..... so where do you think you will get enough riders to have a squad system ?u
  10. In truth , they had 3 experienced riders in the heat leader spot..... and they definitely did not do their job last night. Alfie Bowtell is talented but oscillates between a good night and a poor night. the bottom 3 are all 3 point men who struggled around the NSS. As long as the Colts continue their youth policy and we end up with bringing on British talent then trophies are an absolute bonus. Well done George Carswell for setting up this team
  11. Howarth will be at Sheffield...probably in the premier league. Leicester is better off in the Champions league riding on a Saturdau
  12. If as it appears that we are heading for 10 teams in the league, then the points limit will no doubt go down.
  13. Rob Shuttleworth had been named in the team at Belle Vue. By the time Jack Smith was declared fit it as too late for Rob to get to Lakeside with distance from Cumbria tomLakeside so he ended up named as the no 8
  14. Lambert has scored 9 points for Lublin today.
  15. The silence re the new stadium is deafening and most certainly worrying. We need a statement from the promotion / developers
  16. Lambert named as riding for Lublin today. Lublin or Newcastle for Lambert ?
  17. Congratulations to Sheffield.... best team in the league. Now with three common riders between Sheffield and Leicester who rides for whom in the promotion relegation play off ?
  18. I have criticised the Leicester track on h basis of those meetings that I have been to. Stopped going.... gave it one chance at The NLRC after a long break. Much improved racing... Dan was super and his last two rides were excellent showing his obvious talent.
  19. Wise to bring in Nichols. Since Graversen joined at reserve Sheffield have stepped up a level. To paraphrase Len Silver : if Sheffield get 30 engine failures ipswich might win !!! Sheffield v Leicester with three common riders in the promotion/relegation play off...... who rides for who ???
  20. Mark Lemon has been a superb asset to the Aces since he joined them as a manager. The riders have gained significantly from his words of wisdom and experience. Belle Vue have moved forward in 2017 and with the business experience of Adrian Smith I am sure that the Aces have a bright future.
  21. There were 5 riders missing on Sunday...... has he been made the scapegoat ? Don't disagree with the ban as non attendance at individual Championships is getting a pain in the neck. They were on standard money of £ 10 per point and £10 per start as far as I am aware. What about the other 4 ?
  22. Kurtz is a talented young man who will develop further in the next few years.... he still needs a rider above him to take the pressure off being a number one
  23. Primary objective for Poole should be a complete overall of the track. What is the point of having talented riders without giving them a track to show off their talents.
  24. Forecast was dreadful and the projected time for heavy rain got earlier and earlier. Inevitable decision and made in plenty of time to stop any travelling fans. Hopefully Monday in front of the cameras
