When Cradley tried riding at Stoke , it did not work out due to asking supporters to travel too much for home matches. If it were one or possibly two years with the knowledge of a new track in Coventry then it may be financially viable. Hope the Coventry fans are happy with the news

THJ WAS very poor when I saw him...unless he was under instruction to lower his ave for 2018

Stoke not being Stoke geriatrics !!!!

It greatly saddens me to see a Belle Vue legend like Peter in a position where he will not come to Belle Vue. Next year is Belle vue’s 90 th Anniversary on July 28th. It would be marvellous if this magnificent achievement were to be recognised with the old riders appearing at the proposed anniversary meeting... including Peter Collins , Chris Morton , Alan Wilkinson and a whole host of ex Belle Vue riders. I take no sides on the cause of the problem.... just hope that it can be resolved. Let us not forget that 2018 is The Aces 91st consecutive season....unparalleled anywhere in the world I would imagine.

Sincerely hope Peterborough are riding in 2018.

I would be delighted to see the end of the tactical ride in2018.

Fixed pay scales are a good idea..... but the promoters will break the rules or fiddle their way round them. Hans Nielsen was supposedly on a fixed pay scale for Coventry.... moneys made up by a fake sponsor if I remember rightly.

I started watching Speedway in 1963 and when the British League started in 1965 it was the start of a new successful era. That was a long time ago and as much as I would like to see one big league again, this is definitely not the time. Firstly we do not have enough riders for one league and secondly some of the lower Championship sides would not be able to cope financially in one big league... even if there were enough riders. Fixed nights for the top league are without a doubt a step in the right direction in order to stop all of the missing riders due to clashes with other matches. The key part for me is how many teams in the Premier League next year ?..... plenty of guessing going on but not long to find out
-
Bt sport will be trying to get Speedway at the lowest price they can... so negotiations will not be fast or easy. Time and tide will yield the answer.
-
Who knows ? They seem to make / amend the rules up as they go along Totally pi**ed off with the way the BSPA have run Speedway this season
-
Good signing for Leicester. I am sure that fixed nights will encourage some more movement of top riders back to Britain.

Is Mildenhall's Ko Cup Final Lineup Illegal?
Gunner85 replied to WalterPlinge's topic in National League Speedway
It is all over.... so does it really matter who rides at 6 or 7? Generally the NL teams gets the ars* kicked out of them re clashes etc and meetings end up like Mildenhall v Cradley amongst many others. Get the season over and if there is a miracle over the winter maybe the Sport can sort itself out and not look like a copy of the WWF wrestling circus which is as far removed from being a sport as I am from being an Olympic athlete -
According to updates ,,,, both meetings will be 10 heats due to lack of time. Is it any wonder that Stoke is on my banned list and has been for a long time. Give me new promoters and I will go back

It is sad to read the article. Peter’s stance has been made and the whole episode is very unfortunate. If I remember rightly the refusal to allow riders in free was also made whilst at the Greyhound track but was backtracked at a later date. I would like to see a compromise which members of the WRSA have... that they can have free entry if they bring someone along who actually pays ( an adult ). It would be nice to see a response from the new management.

They had a meeting last week re NL At Rugby. As long as they maintain the league as a developmental league that’s fine.

The farce of teams with 4/ 5 guests due to fixture clashes has to stop. Mildenhall v Cradley ... 1 cradley rider , 1 rider replacement and 5 guests.......how can you take a sport seriously when this kind of match is happening regularly ? Fixed nights is a necessity if we are to solve this problem.... otherwise Speedway will resemble the WWF wrestling circus and will no longer be categorised as a Sport

Whatever happens I am sure that Adrian and Mark will have 7 racers in the side that will entertain us at the best track in Britain

Well done the Colts. Hopefully the start of a new era for Belle Vue just like when the Colts were resurrected in 1968. -
With only. 3 point unattached NL to replace injured Andy Mellish , a much tougher match. We are still capable of winning and if the racing is anything like last night at the NSS then we are in for a treat

Eastbourne Eagles V Belle Vue Colts 14/10/2017

Mellish has a suspected broken leg. Very disappointed with the racing.... riders on both sides struggling... Without the long interval would probably have finished the meeting
