I think all 3 options only had 2 H/L so arguable one had to go. If Danny did have a decent offer from another club on the table then a difficult decision for whichever H/L it was in effect was avoided. Also meant Danny didnt get kept waiting which one while others snapped up the slot he was initially offered. Nice if it was as all parties move on as friends.

Maybe not but IF he had a decent offer on the table plus Danny could at that time not commit what his squad would be, and knowing the 40 points would mean letting one of the three go then maybe they reached an amicable agreement that suited all parties. Whether that be Brum or any other side.

Based on Danny's Echo comments I get impression that maybe rider/s had been approached about signing for 2023, and maybe as Danny had not at that stage fully sorted his 2023 squad and had to let one of his H/L go to meet the new 40 points, the decision was a mutual one to allow Danny to sort now (or around time of the delayed play off final), so in a way suited both parties without Danny having to make that awful decision of which one do I let go.Just my opinion.

Thanks Interesting stats on Speedway News POL He rode 7 matches for Krosno - 31 rides and achieved a ride av of 1.742 so 6.97 per 4 rides incl bonus points. Maybe unfair to compare with riders who rode most/all season so 16/18 matches but his av per ride was above riders such as Riss/Nilsson/Kvech/Mads Hansen/Becker/Bangs/Miedzinski/Lindback/Gala. When you consider POL Lge 1 is similar quality to our Prem, then on a 5 for Champ it will be a possible bargain if we get him.

If not a stupid question. Why would Rew come in on a 5 but Pearson comes in on a 4. Reason for asking is that both rode for POL EXL sides in the U24 competition last season (its first ever season). Rew rode 11 and Pearson i think rode 12 matches. Is it anything to do with Rew having ridden in junior teams/leagues there in 21 as thought he had a bad injury that kept him out between 20/21 period. Just trying to understand the why.

Thought Danny Ford in his Echo write up said had already had conversations with all the riders before the delayed play off final to inform them who would/wouldn't not be coming back in 2023. If Ablitt waiting for the phone to ring it indicates he was told he is not in current team plans. Will be interesting if Danny gets his so called "Dream Team" as he puts it or end up with his back up plan B or C.

Well the GSA av don't lie and he is 7.92 before the 2.5% Brit reduction. That is not a bad top 3, and with a proven 10.58 man to lead them you are going to get plenty of points out of them. just a question of whether they have enough at the bottom ??. I think on many a day those bottom 4 could struggle to get 10 between them but that's just my opinion. Anyway as i said only posted it on here to express a view of I wonder which direction Poole will take. personally I think they will go for more strength in depth.

interesting that Oxford have signed Masters/Nicholls & Kerr as their top 3 for 2023. Look a bit exposed maybe at botton half with Heeps/Jenkins/Atkins and Aussie youngster Killeen 17 who rode in their NDL squad but shows promise. Only mention it on here as kind of shows you what happens when you go for a strong top 3. Will be interesting to see how we line up in comparison at Poole.

For me would love to see Rew & Zischke. This Ziscke lad looks the real deal and only 16/17. Beat Pearson twice in finishing runner up to Rew in Aussie U21 Champ on Saturday Also beat Pearson in NSW U21 previous weekend when Zischke won their U21 title. Good style and all action and even Darcy Ward said he reminds him of how he was at the same age. Strong words. Bowes is in the title winning Lublin U24 midweek team for 2023 and Pearson & Brown will be Leszno U24 team for 2023. I think Leszno following the route of U24 - Then a season or two in Lge 1 before deciding if good enough to go in main Leszno team. Wouldn't be surprised if Leszno or another POL EXL side sign up Zischke before long. If I was impressed seeing videos of him I'm sure the astute Poles will be all over him just as they have done with a lot of the good young Aussie talent coming through.

Leszno are following the same route for Rew as they did for both Kurtz & Lidsey. Those 2 could not do the U24 Lge as didn't exist until last season. They have loanded him to Gdansk in Lge 1 for 2023 (Sunday track with odd Saturday),as it will give him that much needed experience against better riders than the U24 League. Will be mixing it with Kurtz/Musielak/Becker/NKI/Tungate/Bjerre/Basso/Jepsen-Jensen among others plus plenty of promising Poles. Will be good for him and if he progresses will join Leszno first team in 2024 just as Kurtz & Lidsey did. Or he could be loaned out for another season as by then will still only be 20. Not signed for his 2022 DK team or any other team in DK and squads are as good as done same with Swe. You can check all the squads on Speedway news POL. This frees him up for UK to ride hopefully both leagues with plenty of rides on most days of the week incl Tue when Poole ride at Plymouth if its Poole he joins.

See some Rew rumours building on the Forum. Notice both IPS/Peterb fans indicating he is signing both Prem & Champ sides with both sets of fans indicating he will ride for them. Don't care which one gets him as long as we get him in Champ. Would get lots of experience to compliment his Sun/Sat Polish rides which would be good as he will be riding a good few times each week over the 3 leagues. Anyway fingers crossed

Well he can't complain about lack of opportunities the last 2 seasons in both Prem/Champ. Still young and can turn it around but really needs to sort things out and get consistency. Hope he gets fixed up somewhere as not good to have what was one of our top potential future talents go unwanted by both Champ and Prem teams. Maybe a case of one who doesn't push on even with decent backing & equip. Look at Jack Smith - Parkinson-Blackburn - Bickley - Greaves and others who looked like they would do something but never progressed. Their are no doubt others who I have missed.

I think the Aussies associate more with UK as they relate to their hero's like Crump/Holder/Ward/Doyle who then go on to star on the World stage after initially riding and cutting their teeth on our more technical tracks. I get the impression the young European non English speaking countries probably relate more to the European/Scandinavian/DK stars so move in a more tighter geographical area such as POL/SWE/DK where they can combine POL Sun/Sat - Swe Tue and then drive over to DK for the Wed. Also I assume financially they make it work better without all the flying i and out of UK.

Would be great news if also with Poole. Makes it worthwhile financially to do both Leagues plus POL with Gdansk Sundays. Or even Saturdays when odd meetings. Most importantly is he would be riding Mon PL - Tue (a few times when Poole at Plymouth) - Wed Poole or when at OXF/Brum - Thur Prem - Fri at Northern Champ tracks plus the odd Sat Champ meeting. Gets plenty of experience and also a chance to race regular against top Prem riders. Let's hope it happens

Thanks for that. Rew is indeed a class rider. Have to remember he is 19 and think 20 around April and has resided in POL during the actual season last 2/3 years. Had a bad injury that put him out for a long time but last season it all clicked into place as his POL U24 scores showed. Well worth signing on a 5 and not having signed in DK this season or Swe could be a bargain on a 5. He has been loaned out by Leszno in Prem to Gdansk in Nice 1 for 2023 so hopefully will ride regularly on Sunday. Also NOT riding for Leszno in the midweek U24 POL Exl in 2023. Surely must be coming to UK and would expect he could well double up with a team in Prem. Seeing Tate ride in the NSW U21 Champ which he won last week excited me as his style is indeed like watching a young Darcy. The guy is only 16/17 and it speaks volumes if he did finish second to Rew who has so much more experience even at 19. I was also impressed at a couple of his rides in the DK Ist Div (Lge below their Prem). Even at 16 he looked decent. Think only did a short stint just to see what it was like. Indeed they would be a dream duo even if they take a while to get used to UK tracks. Would be gutted if we lost Tate to another Champ team.

Close Lisa. It's Tate Zischke. Been trying to find out how both he and Keynan Rew did in the Aussie U21 Champ Final in Gillman today. Can't find anything on UK or POL sites, or via Google and it finished a good few hours ago. Was live streamed but not keen on paying for overseas streaming services. If anyone knows would be good to find out. For sure I would think Speedway News POL will report all the details in next day or so as they are pretty good in giving full heat results and each riders scores. Would love to see both sign but I doubt we will be that lucky .

Yeah I just read the whole exchange . Interesting thought though as Dan T will be seeking a double up Team to compliment his hopefully Leicester slot in 2023. He is young at 18 and plenty of improvement in him. Must admit based on Danny Ford's teaser remarks I am struggling to find a team without my 2 Aussie idea's. Maybe Thompson provided an answer if it was only Rew and even then we don't even know if there will be one let alone 2 new Aussies . Just getting carried away at the possible thought Tate could be another in the Darcy mould, especially with Darcy himself making positive comments having seen him ride.

Following my last post on Rew & Zischke, I see the Aussie U21 Final is at Gillman this Sat 26th Nov. Both are due to ride according to Speedway News PL. Below was riders list as of 2nd Nov when they listed it. Be interesting to see how both riders perform. Thought I saw a number of posts on it earlier in the season. Could be wrong but it stuck in my mind hence why I added the comment. Either way perhaps not beyond the realm of possibilities something could have been agreed as a season long swap arrangement for Lawson/D Thompson. Personally the thought of both Rew and Zischke would excite me more. REW already proved even at 19 he can do it in POL U24 with an exceptional av in that first U24 POL EXL season. As for Tate I have watched some Youtube videos and looked a decent rider in that short stint in DK Lge 1. Also reading the comments Darcy made about him reminding him of himself at the same age. Plus think he has been giving him advice. What really impressed me though was watching the video of last Saturdays NSWU21 title meeting where he beat Pearson twice on his way to securing the winners trophy. Bearing in mind only 16/17 he has a good style and I think worthy of a go as one for the future. Considering he already stayed and raced a while in DK early last season it wouldn't be his first visit to the Northern Hemisphere. Hope he doesn't get signed elsewhere. Could be of course he wants to finish studies and come over in 2024 ?? I can see why Darcy could see comparisons if you look at that U21 video. Look at how much distance he put between him and Pearson over the course of the race.

Interesting comment made by Bagpuss over on the Glasgow Forum. Rew, Dan T and Ablitt completing Poole then presumably. Only throwing this out there for opinion but, could it be that Leic knew ages ago they would be going up and with Lawson being a Poole asset since start of last season, could they have cut an end of season deal deal between the 2 promoters & riders of Lawson to Leic in exchange for Dan Thompson spending the season at Poole. ??. Also bearing in mind Poole intend to move up in 2024 to Prem, so Dan would just revert back to Leicester as he is their asset and Lawson back to Poole in Prem as he's a Poole asset. I'm intrigued by Danny Ford's dream Team comment. Plus he has openly said he already got a plan B and C in place, if he can't agree terms on his A team. If we went Worrall or King - Lawson - Both Cooks and if Rew is a 5 and young Dan is 5.09 rounded up after 2.5% Brit reduction you get 37.12 only leaving 2.88, really making Ablitt only viable option to get us 0.88 points short of the 40 IF we go that way. My reservation is would Danny want to come up that short on points total ?? We know Danny/Matt like the idea of riders who can improve their averages and arguably all the bottom 5 could do that imo. Would love to know what Danny's Dream Team idea is though.

Nice - Someone who likes the idea of my 2 Aussie picks. I said I would have both Rew & Zischke as I think they are the 2 most promising young Aussies coming through. Pearson is another who is with Brum for 2023. Must admit I like the above. Think 2023 will be tougher for us with the lower limit but then many facing similar issues. Top 6 gets you in play offs and certainly Rew and maybe tate will have ridden plenty of meetings to get used to our tracks by then.Good blend of youth and experience. Have had a look at some to young Tate Ziscke's rides and couldn't help but be impressed with his NSW U21 success at the weekend. Even kept Pearson off top spot to win the title. Only 17 and I can kind of see what Darcy Ward meant when he said Tate reminds him of how he was at the same age. Looks an exciting prospect. Got a taste of Europe with some meetings in Danish 2nd Div for a shot time last season. Believe Brady Kurtz followed a similar route as a youngster. For me Rew could be well worth more than 5, and still only 19 . Below is his av per ride in the POL U24 fiirst ever league season in 2022. Out of 11 matches - 54 rides he won 30 - second in 16 - third in one for ab av of 2.463 per ride incl bonus. That is 2nd out of approx 96 riders U24 who rode is this POL U24 ExtraLeague. Impressive figures for a 19 year old who I also believe lost a season due to a major injury I think a couple of years ago. My money would be on Keynan Rew (19) or Tate Zischke. I've said plenty on Keynan who I think would be a good signing on a 5. As for Tate, I think he is only 17 and think available on a 4 ??. He is highly recommended by Darcy Ward and just learned he won the new South Wales U21 Title at the weekend. Also had i believe looking at Youtube a short stint riding in Danish Lge 1 in 2022, (the lower league used by many young Danes) and I think even Brady Kurtz rode in it in his first year in Europe. Just announced today on Speedway News PL is Leszno U24 squad for 2023. Notice this season Keynan Rew will not be riding in the midweek U24 league (as he did in 2022 achieving the 2nd highest av of over 70 riders), as he has been loaned out to POL Nice 1 team Gdansk (normally ride on a Sunday). The relevance of this means he could ride in both Prem & Champ in UK in 2023. I have trawled through various forums on SWE and DK teams and 1) He has not resigned for his 2022 Dk team or anyone else and also not in SWE from what I can see. We know the Fords have been monitoring him as was rumored as a possible Poole signing before. Still only 19 and arguably the best Aussie coming through currently at U23 level ??, Assuming we would get him on a 5 due to his POL experience and also had a few odd rides as Leszno (POL Exl) number 8 last season, I reckon he would be a bargain. Could also be a long term prospect if Danny could get him as an asset with a loan out to say BV or Sheff in Prem on double up for this season ahead of proposed Poole move up in 2024. Just a thought.
