Got thumped quite a few times with that rider in your profile pic 2, who was basically rubbish there concidering it was a former track. -

Normally make the trip over to Newcastle but after the other week I won't be going. The track was disgusting an quite frankly dangerous. Also it was after 1am when I got home due to the fact it took 3 hours to run the meeting. -

Sounds to me that British speedway is on its a@@se -
You can go off ya stats all you want, but if you had seen all the Workington meeting this season (like I have myself) then I feel you would be far from impressed with proctor yourself. Look at the difference between let's say Charles Wright your number 3 and ty proctor Workingtons number 3, who would you prefer? Wright has protected your middle order, an protected it well, both started on similar averages. Also Wright doesn't stay in the position he gates from, so doesn't get beat by reserves if they outgate him.
-
Have you been watching the same ty proctor as me this year???
-
Kennet for proctor would strengthen us up no end
-
At least berwick are prepared to make changes, unlike Workington. We stuck with an underperforming proctor when we has two and a half points to play with, then to top it off signed Sargent when the likes of Jacobs were available. Can't work it out myself
-
Are we going to get any? Sargent is going to have his wrist in a cast for ar least four week, will be really difficult running with guests concidering his low average. Proctor has been massively disappointing, especially away from home, but even at home if he doesn't do anything from the gate it's game over, this makes our middle order extremely week. On a lesser note Jorgenson has been very hit an miss, this meaning we have little back up for cook in heats 13 and 15. So who is out there that could improve the team, maybe one or even two changes? and the big question is are we even looking to make changes or content to stay put?

Very disappointed yet again with ty proctor last night and to a slightly lesser extent Thomas j. Proctor doesn't look interested if he doesn't gate. Problem is best we can hope for in heats 13 & 15 is 3-3's. 2.11 points to play with an could do with back up for cookie. -
Yeh I remember, the same Josh auty that finished Kenny ingalls career. Total wreckless rider. An why are you surprised by hansen this year? You knew what you were getting, entertainment at home but away from home you hav a 3 point heat leader I'm afraid.

Looks like Adam Roynon is on his way to berwick.... -
How about Adam Roynon?

What a toughie to start our home campaign of team action. Could go down to the wire this one an like our full season I think this depends on which roynon an campton turn up. Roynon looked suspect at Newcastle especially after he passed every one on turns one an two then totally shut the throttle of going into turn three, unfortunately I think that's the times when your suspect to getting hurt. It's hard to see what he will bring to the side in the main body. On the plus side was really impressed with Matt at Newcastle an rob rode well, was on the pace an was very unlucky to get excluded from a point scoring position in heat to. Here's hope for a home win but it won't be easy....

Your Team An What You Expect In 2017....
Midget replied to Midget's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
After seeing hansen at Workington for the past few seasons I can't see him hitting 7.90, great at home.but unfortunately it's like having a 3 pointer on the road. -
For me at Workington..... 1= Craig Cook = best rider in the league an I expect pretty much the same for 2017, be great to have heat 13 & 15 covered. Probably our first out an out number 1 since Stoney. 2 = Mason Campton = just don't see what the promotion see in him to give him chance after chance. For me he thinks he's better than he actually is an I see no change. Another season around the 4/4.5 average wise. 3 = Ty Proctor = quite shocked he's included after last season events, but I'll take it, decent rider who should kick on, improve his average an challenge our top 2. 4 = Adam Roynon = had a steady 2016 with a few glimpses of the rider we all know he can be. I'm not sure he'll ever be a 8+ rider again but I think after a steady season last year he can put a point on his starting average. 5 = Thomas Jorgenson = great signing, rides our track really well and is also a racer. One to watch for next year an will improve his average. 6 = Matt Williamson = has improved every year and that will continue next year, can get out the gate well an Could replace campton in the main body. 7 = Rob Shuttleworth = must admit I know very little about rob. No pressure should be on him so let's hope he enjoys his racing, gain experience and improves throughout the season. So I don't think it will be the comets best season but I don't think it will be our worste either. Should do well at home, I dare I say it.....pretty much the same away from home costing us a play off place. Happy new year everyone and enjoy your speedway in 2017!
