Would like to think we can get at least a point in this one! We ran them close last time and are stronger going there this time with a firing Newman etc, if Connor rides like he did last time he'll get points! Witches to take a point but hopeful of taking a narrow win!

What a shocking attempt to prepare a good track for the first televised meeting.... riders should not be bounced into corners it's damn dangerous! -

Ht 13 & 15 shows to me that we would be better entertained in the top league at Ipswich, Foxhall seems to be tricky technical track these days that the young lads coming up struggle on, 3 riders of a good level going at it showed how good the racing can be! Always enjoy watching Craig come and battle it out at Foxhall shame Danny couldn't sit still in ht13 would've been an even better race! Rooboy oozing class and Kyle looking 100% fit and back to his best! Sedgemen I find frustrating though seems a bit of a gating tart! -
How about - Sedgemen - 7.60 Newman - 6.31 out 13.91 Scott Nicholls - 9.23 Emil grondal- 4.39 13.62 We'd have 3 proper heat leaders then and in Cameron a very capable no.4! Grondal will score 3/4/5 like Newman has been but scott will way outscore sedge home and away! 3 riders fighting for the no.1 jacket by the end of the season too! If Scott has too many continental commitments then maybe kennett? Not as favourable choice for me but he does ride Ipswich well! I may be being a little harsh wanting to drop these guys but the way I see it is every year we keep faith with riders and the teams that make the tough calls win silverware!

As a season ticket holder I'm getting pretty bored with speedway at Foxhall already this season in a year that promised so much with the winter track work and initial team that sadly never got a chance to get going! Fed up of watching a very mediocre Justin sedgemen not be at all bothered already...... don't pay money to watch riders give what seemingly was little to no effort whatsoever...... gave up on the first corner in first race (citing bike trouble, which if legitimate fair enough although why come to the tapes on a bike that can't do a lap at the start of a meeting....very professional!).... a bikes length behind worrall coming out of the second bend on the first lap and by the third bend he's shut off and settled for second coasting round for the 3-3.......same in the next race and then credit to him he won a reserves race 👏🏻 Never seen nico covatti give up on a single point! Then there's the track work undertaken over the winter....what's the point in spending the money and time to undertake changes to improve the racing if a consistent reliable racing surface, with more than one line cannot be produced -

I think we should have enough to stop Newcastle taking a point away with them but lambert and worrall will keep it close enough for it to not be all plain sailing as it has been in some recent meetings! Agree the riding order should be changed, Kyle seems to still be lacking a bit coming back from injury so surely a move to 2 would help him, and heeps in great form barring the last couple where he's been carrying a leg injury! Sedgmen/heeps at 3/4 would be a good pairing st home too, sedge likes inside-mid track and heeps chases the dirt perfect team riding! -

Having watched heeps at Ipswich every week this season he's working really very hard on and off the track and getting the results! There's bags of talent in there, now the work ethic seems to have vastly improved he's starting to show what he's capable of, being an Ipswich regular I've also had the opportunity over the past few years to see the best and worst of tungate....on his current inconsistent poor form and heeps great form I know who I'd prefer in my team! I think the Somerset track will suit him well and with a little guidance from the home boys to get dialled in, looking across at the others reserves in the league I can't see him fearing anyone as should score very well alongside jake Allen and it'll certainly help us at Ipswich him being on the bike more! Lawson is a better rider than all three outgoing and Kerr is in good form, he scored well riding at no.3 for Poole for a month! Another good attribute the two of them bring is they're both sharp gaters! Not sure you're all of a sudden a league winning team but on current form certainly a much stronger outfit imo!

danny 12 heeps 7 sedge 10 kyle 6 rory 11 connor 2 nathan 5 josh g 10 kurtz 3 r/r bates 7 howarth 12 branford 6 shuttle worth 1 53-39 i personally think r/r for lasse will weaken the tigers as he's very good at foxhall and kurtz, bates and branford taking his rides at 3 will leave them a bit more vulnerable as would putting r/r to 2 and having kurtz at 3 who has never seemed to like foxhall a great deal as a visiting rider, on current form think we could see howarth beat our big guns a couple of times! a rider I've always liked so glad to see him kicking on this year! -

Was stood on the exit of second bend so it all happened right in front of us, agree no reason to stop it as Lewis regained control and was subsequently at the back despite having impeded Danny, Lewis did look certain to be going in the fence, and as a result the red lights seemed to be put even before he'd regained control so as much as anything needs to be a little less hasty! It was indeed shaping up to be a good race! Ref had obviously got bored of the restarts by heat 15 and felt bad for excluding Lewis in the aforementioned heat so allowed him a blatant jump at the tapes to balance tho 😝 -

Think they definitely have the edge in the reserve department and lewi Kerr will have a point to prove after us dropping him last year and now being released by Poole for kyles return!! However so long as our top 5 score solidly and the reserves pick a point or two can't see past a home win, gonna go with 50-40 Scunthorpes reserves keeping the scores closer than might be expected -
realistically were there any better alternatives? on the few times I've seen him ride theres appeared to be some potential, hopefully the likes of rory can take him under his wing and get the best out of him at this level! we all knew getting a replacement of danyon's level around foxhall on 2 point average was going to be difficult with no real options available, but welcome to the witches nathan!
-
Don't necessarily think either one is better than the other, both have different styles and attributes but generally even out about the same level of scoring in a heat leader position, from my memory Justin is a far superior trapper to nico which is always valuable! Well done to Chris and Ritchie who have acted swiftly and positively to go and get who was realistically the best option available within the average constraints! In the short term danyon is going to be the much harder rider to replace as he's worth so much more to us than his average! But a career is a marathon not a sprint and he's gonna be a witches star in the future!!
-
porsing sarjeant combination would be good if it fit?
-
Porsing will fit and be a good choice, although not using the full extent of the average we have to play with, batchelor for me would maybe be a better choice.
-
Newman back in, batchelor straight swap for covatti during his spell on the sidelines, he's started the season well at kings lynn so should be able to handle the grip at Foxhall!! Surely another Aussie influence in the team would help heeps and may get going a good rivalry between batch and rory, always been a big fan of both posting and busk Jacobsen at foxhall as well

Redcar Vs Ipswich 20/04/2017

I think on Mondays showing at Peterborough we should be confident of going anywhere with a win in mind and a point a minimum, especially once Mr Newman is fit and raring to go! Having said that Redcar look an ominous outfit with all of their top 4 capable of beating anyone in the league so an away point/win is no gimme for the witches!! -

Well that's my first trip to the east of England Showground! I enjoyed the meeting think the panthers fans have certainly overplayed how much better the racing would be than at Foxhall! Only difference I saw was the away team came and had a go unlike the Saturday meeting!! Jack holder very impressive and surely man of the match! Undoubtably you missed Hansen as I'm sure he'll score more than 5 at home more often than not but then equally if we had Newman there's no doubt he'd have scored far better than sarj's big fat zero!! Positively from a witches perspective heeps/covatti pairing looking very good partebership, mountain growing in confidence was very good today and schlein looking good home and away! -

Nowt wrong with the track, Ipswich is always grippy it's how Chris Louis always likes to set it up to give a home advantage, just gotta out there and attack it! BWD has only been there once maybe twice and managed just fine to score plenty of points... lambert has been to Foxhall countless times, it's always grippy and he put up very little fight tonight. -

i wasn't there i'll admit, but reading the updates doesn't sound like it was really anything other than gate and go at sheffield last night either...... one of the more exciting sounding heats from what the texter had written, was heat 9 whereby shlein was on a tactical ride - texter posted this to be a ding dong battle with kurtz cutting him off on the last bend...just seen the race on speedwaygb website and frankly schlein got close on the last lap but realistically kurtz had him covered the whole 4 laps from you've guessed it... the gate!!! at least at foxhall chris louis has recognised the racing can be improved and this winter has for a second time in the last few years has undertaken major work to change the track shape in a bid to create more lines and therefore a better product to watch for the fans!! -
To be fair it was working on the second bend and was much louder than before
-
It's a hard call but busk Jacobsen has to be a better option than sarj on the track, a more established rider that could push the top 3 like we would have hoped Kyle would. Sarj rode at 2 all last and while showed a lot of promise and improvement not on the same level currently. Young British lad out of a job yes, but if you're looking to challenge the top end of the table busk Jacobsen the better rider.
