No 4000 every week is unlikely, but with the link up itfc and all the promotion theyve been doing with that the final showed the amount of those that could be interested and chose to come off of the back of the effort put in to promote the event. If they could attract half of those that came for the final regularly then that would be massive for the club.

Champ ave would be 5.43 so about 3.85 I think

With refreshed perspective and determination surely Gino would be worth another go..... lots of people at the start of this season thought there were better options than heeps - even disappointed we couldnt fit sarj in - and look how his season has turned out, probably one of the most improved riders in the league!

Ipswich V Sheffield Po Final 2nd Leg 30-9-17
89buttons replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yep that was me, races where theres 3 or 4 better quality riders in it are generally pretty good, races where theres a gulf in class between the riders get strung out quickly and the wobblers fall off, leading to the track getting slated! Generally theres nothing wrong with the track, its track where you have to turn the bike and the management like to have a grippier surface to help with a home advantage, and when higher calibre riders (Home or away) go out and attack it rather than try to guide it in then the racing is good and theres very few crashes! Personally Id like to see a fixed race night and the witches return to the top flight. -

Very well done to Sheffield, have to say a big well done to our boys too, theyve battled all year and wevehad zero luck with injuries all year from day one! Easy to forget we never actually fielded our original 7 riders in a single meeting! Ive said earlier in the season and Ill say it again I hope the top flight goes to a single race night and I hope Ipswich return to the top flight next year, the race track has produced great racing in heats 13 & 15 all year and the overall entertainement would be best served at a higher level -

Can't be first bend bunching if they haven't reached the first bend!! Someone has deviated into someone else's path to crash before they get there 👍🏻 -
Ipswich V Edinburgh P/o Semi Final 21st September

Think we'll to agree to disagree on this one, if Nathan has made the best start is clearly ahead from gate 1, has gone in a straight line towards the first bend and had remained no more than a foot or two from the kerb, then the only way the incident can occur is the way it did...Riss tried to lean on him they got tangled up, Riss at fault and correctly excluded. What can Nathan have possibly done to avoid that crash....nothing! What could Riss have done? Ridden marginally wider and battled for the place in the first corner and the rest of the race! I'm not suggesting in any way Erik intended for the crash to happen and I sincerely hope both riders aren't hurt and the machinery bill isn't too high as Nathan in particular has suffered a lot of that this year! But Erik caused the stoppage and was right to go IMO -

Absolutely the correct decision, Nathan clearly ahead and Riss turned left on him trying to clamp him achieving nothing but sticking his footrest in the back wheel! 👍🏻 Was hoping for more of a lead but happy enough with 10, 10 point head start means we only need 41 tomorrow night! Have to say I don't think that ht7 should have been run while the rain was coming down as hard as it was, glad it didn't mark a huge turning point like it could of done! Another great guest appearance at Foxhall for mason, only man to beat masters on the night - fairplay! Same again tomorrow would do us very nicely! I'm a big fan of Erik but I'm sorry he turned left on Nathan and was rightly excluded -
Only injuries have halted kyles progress this season, cannot fault his attitude and effort.

I personally thing the track gets a bad rep the for racing it produces, ht 13&15 this year have regularly been excellent and have highlighted how good the racing can be, while also highlighting the gulf in class between the top and bottom riders in this league now. ht 13&15 generally have four good riders in them all of which could win it hence the racing is good! How many heats can you actually say that looking up and down a championship programme these days!? Week in week out the witches can only race what's in front of them and when the likes of ostergaard for example turn up and ride like he did tonight it isnt gonna be close racing and sadly there's just too much of that these days! Hope Cameron is ok, went in pretty damn hard! Would be a shame for him having been in such good form! Although he did seem to lose his head both races where he fell while trying a bit too hard unecesarily...a trait that this year seemed to be behind him...a big part of his large improvement imo -
For me there has to be two leagues in uk not three, with doubling up for only British riders. With the current league system as it is the careers of young British riders are being ruined! The likes of Stefan Nielsen, joe Jacobs etc. Are too good for the national league, its of no benefit for them in terms of career progress and it's not financially viable for them either. If there was two leagues with doubling up restriction it would help ensure that these riders have jobs and are able to have a platform to aid the progression of those that are getting too good for what is currently the national league. There's not enough riders to sustain 3 leagues and protect the British lads but there is enough to sustain 2!

NBJ goes great at Foxhall, would've made us a hell of a lot stronger...

Shame nico won't fit, personally I think Gino would be worth a punt, can't see him being worse than Justin points and will at least give it 100%

Riding with heeps is showing up sedgemens efforts up all the more tho, he gives it everything every race for whatever position! If only we had nico back!!! -

Absolutely I wouldn't care if he got 3 points but was busting a gut trying, but he just doesn't look bothered! May be down to confidence but to be honest just looks like he ain't bothered! Really can't see him being a trump card. Nic porsing Nic busk jacobsen anyone.......? Also definitely agree loves greaves effort as well as Connor! He's really turned a corner confidence wise and has been paid for at least 6 in 5 out of last 6 meetings, can't ask more than that! -

I always have and will support the witches to the bitter end of every season but at the end of the day the teams that win silverware are the ones that have riders that turn up in the big moments, sedgemen for whatever reason has not looked to be that rider the whole time he's had witches racesuit imo. And tonight in ht6 he made the best start was out in front with heeps saw the two Newcastle riders had cut back and standing on the second bend you could literally see him shut off and was last by the 3rd bend. Would rather see manzares in his place for the rest of the season, someone who's going to at least give it 100% -

We will make the playoffs but if we're going to do anything when we get there sedgemen has got to go! -
Would like to think we can get at least a point in this one! We ran them close last time and are stronger going there this time with a firing Newman etc, if Connor rides like he did last time he'll get points! Witches to take a point but hopeful of taking a narrow win!

What a shocking attempt to prepare a good track for the first televised meeting.... riders should not be bounced into corners it's damn dangerous! -

Ht 13 & 15 shows to me that we would be better entertained in the top league at Ipswich, Foxhall seems to be tricky technical track these days that the young lads coming up struggle on, 3 riders of a good level going at it showed how good the racing can be! Always enjoy watching Craig come and battle it out at Foxhall shame Danny couldn't sit still in ht13 would've been an even better race! Rooboy oozing class and Kyle looking 100% fit and back to his best! Sedgemen I find frustrating though seems a bit of a gating tart! -
How about - Sedgemen - 7.60 Newman - 6.31 out 13.91 Scott Nicholls - 9.23 Emil grondal- 4.39 13.62 We'd have 3 proper heat leaders then and in Cameron a very capable no.4! Grondal will score 3/4/5 like Newman has been but scott will way outscore sedge home and away! 3 riders fighting for the no.1 jacket by the end of the season too! If Scott has too many continental commitments then maybe kennett? Not as favourable choice for me but he does ride Ipswich well! I may be being a little harsh wanting to drop these guys but the way I see it is every year we keep faith with riders and the teams that make the tough calls win silverware!

As a season ticket holder I'm getting pretty bored with speedway at Foxhall already this season in a year that promised so much with the winter track work and initial team that sadly never got a chance to get going! Fed up of watching a very mediocre Justin sedgemen not be at all bothered already...... don't pay money to watch riders give what seemingly was little to no effort whatsoever...... gave up on the first corner in first race (citing bike trouble, which if legitimate fair enough although why come to the tapes on a bike that can't do a lap at the start of a meeting....very professional!).... a bikes length behind worrall coming out of the second bend on the first lap and by the third bend he's shut off and settled for second coasting round for the 3-3.......same in the next race and then credit to him he won a reserves race 👏🏻 Never seen nico covatti give up on a single point! Then there's the track work undertaken over the winter....what's the point in spending the money and time to undertake changes to improve the racing if a consistent reliable racing surface, with more than one line cannot be produced -

I think we should have enough to stop Newcastle taking a point away with them but lambert and worrall will keep it close enough for it to not be all plain sailing as it has been in some recent meetings! Agree the riding order should be changed, Kyle seems to still be lacking a bit coming back from injury so surely a move to 2 would help him, and heeps in great form barring the last couple where he's been carrying a leg injury! Sedgmen/heeps at 3/4 would be a good pairing st home too, sedge likes inside-mid track and heeps chases the dirt perfect team riding!
