Im sure Doyle said a little while back hed only do uk if next year if its a fixed race night so thats probably why rosco being coy on him being in the team next year.
-
If set race nights happen I think top flight and staying on a Thursday is more likely for us
-
If we go up to top league then you can have heeps Double up....if we dont hands off! Club asset and off the back of his best season wont be anywhere but Ipswich!!
-
What I like about Thursdays is it rarely clashes with over stuff, Friday/saturdays other social things occur and youre on hiding to nothing you either go elsewhere and miss speedway or you go to speedway and get grief from other half for always being being busy!! 😂 dont have a lot crop up on a Thursday particularly often!

I cant see Sheffield going up....surely if there was any chance of that then the Simon stead involvement with the vaculik deal would have been for him to go Sheffield rather than Leicester.....? Also dont think the bates promotion would be able to run two clubs in same league and having signed vaculik commiting themselves to top league at Leicester surely also ends that speculation. I think we are likely to move up and remain a Thursday track though.

Levedevs is ahead of max on the continent at this stage, particularly last year made big strides. Both have the potential to fighting for the world title in a few years.
-
Fair enough, Id prefer Thursdays and top league, Id miss too many on a Saturday with other stuff going on so probabaly wouldnt renew my season ticket would go more as and when which would be a shame as I like a weekly couple of hours putting the world to right with me old chap! Haha! Hypothetically Id like something along these lines... Linus sundstrom Cameron Heeps Rory Schlein/Danny king Nico covatti Scott Nicholls Mason campton/josh Bates/Kyle Newman Nathan greaves/Danton Hume

Surely stockcar would stop us having any continuity running on saturdays

No one jumped on his back at the first opportunity. He was given time, progress was slow, he had the occasional ok score and then it just dropped right off and he was giving up after a bend. He was signed on an average of over 7 as a heat leader and a replacement for covatti who is maximum entertainment and scores points Home and away, sedgemen couldnt beat opposition reserves. No other set of fans would have been satisfied with what we saw from him during his time with the witches if it was their team - hes clearly a better rider than we saw but for whatever reason we never got to see that rider.
-
If the top league does to a fixed race night on a Thursday, whats the general witches fans conscensus - stay on a Thursday in the top league or stay in championship on a different day?
-
For those that did attend the end of season do (annoyingly I was away working) was there any mention of next year from the establishment? What league we may be in depending on fixed race nights etc.??
-
Thats an age!! 😩 I mean its irrelevant as even if Doyle rides in uk next year cant cant see him being anywhere but Swindon.... but why not Doyle?? Always been good at Ipswich and now best in the world...arguably for the last two seasons I mean its irrelevant as even if Doyle rides in uk next year cant cant see him being anywhere but Swindon.... but why not Doyle?? Martin Vaculik a 2018 witch then anyone?? Haha! Anyone know when the bspa annual clown show is this year?
-
Unless Ipswich and wolves are in the same league next year I cant see Schlein not coming back to us at Ipswich, and even if they are, still think hes likely to be in a witches jacket
-
Exactly my thoughts!
-
Cant believe someone like ty proctor wouldnt have taken a guest booking for panthers! Hes had plenty of guest bookings late and scored well pretty much everywhere especially at Foxhall too, surely hed want the money before the end of the season! If Scott hadnt been allowed to ride for us then no doubt Hawkins wouldve called on him once again after his performance the other week! Guested at Sheffield last night top scoring so hes still here too 😉

Before this year Id not been to Sheffield before having now visited 3 times I think the best thing for Bates career would be staying at Sheffield in the top flight, dropping the championship and focusing on as much continental riding as he can - he really is like most of your boys fantastic at building speed on the fast Sheffield track and think he would surprise a lot of people given the chance on big fast Poland tracks! I would agree from what Ive seen of your team as a neutral the main riders to keep - Howarth, bjerre and wood.
-
Hes taken his second chance at Ipswich this year, off the track better dedication in the workshop and the gym have made a huge difference and the proof is in the pudding, one of the most improved riders in the championship, earnt himself a spot at Somerset and generally performed very well, why cant he improve year on year and reach the upper echelons of the sport? Injuries and work ethic off the track have hampered his progress in recent years but this year has proven theres talent and track craft in abundance.
-
Totally agree, its a bold claim but I genuinely believe cam can go as far as he wants in the sport, how far he gets will be dictated by his dedication to all aspects of being a speedway rider - this year hes upped his game on and off the track and come on leaps and bounds - for me could be a gp rider in the future just depends how bad he wants it in the next few years
-
Heeps, covatti, Schlein, greaves and Hume whatever league were in and then depending on what league and whats left! Obviously Danny will always be back while he wants to be and Hawkins is there but for me hes one line on outside doesnt look for a teammate to team ride and let us down in playoffs time for a change at the top end imo! Newman for me hasnt pushed on as I think hes capable of doing, I know hes been hampered by injury but I think he overturns the bike too much at Foxhall rather than allow the bike to run into the corner more - this caused the crash in the final while leading and not the first time this season. Thinking about the current championship level riders Ive seen this year Id like to see in a witches jacket Campton - good middle order man Either of the Riss brothers - particularly Erik Proctor- good third heatleader Nicholls - still proved himself to be pretty good around foxhall Masters - always good at Foxhall. If we step up and a fixed race night is set Id like to think some of the riders outside of the gp may be persuaded to return to the uk so Id like to see us try bring someone like Linus sundstrom back for example
