  1. Forecast for Thursday not looking ideal at the moment
  2. No great surprise! Hardly an inspiring replacement for the wolves fans tho imo
  3. Kyle wasn’t tentative when he went through his teammate last night!
  4. Haha gone all out and got rid of the glass and half filled the bath baldy!? Best hope is a point but can’t see it happening to be honest - their support riders to top boys will make ours look silly imo
  5. Chatting with dad last night and think he may struggle for a team next year.... average is likely to stay around 6 can’t see that appealing to many out teams out there - can’t see him being back at Foxhall and it’s not like he’s been anywhere else this year and other teams will have looked at him and thought yeah he looks good...! on another note if it came down to a decision between Scotty or Danny next year I’d have to say I’d want Scott - so good to see him looking for a teammate like rory does
  6. I’m amazed he’s still got a job at wolves
  7. Good home win! Heeps needs to have a hard look at himself letting us down way too often! Said to mark riss when he came round for the collection, “I hope you’re back next year” and he replied “I hope so too!” My dad then said to him “bring ya brother as well” and he gave a rye smile! Could be a German revolution next year if haertel gets another go too!!
  8. From what I gather he’s battered and bruised and took a big hit to his hip not his head
  9. After two positive displays hopeful of a tight home win! Any news as to whether nick Morris will be riding? He’s not fit for tonight’s meeting between Somerset/Swindon
  10. There’s 1 scheduled fixture clash not exactly a massive problem - surely if both teams reach the playoffs it won’t be too difficult to sort out - in fact prem playoffs are normally shown on tv so would be a Monday anyway
  11. I still think Bellego would be worth a go to be honest but yes appreciate really not a lot of options out there!
  12. Having had a good friend who suffered nerve damage playing rugby a few years back I’d be amazed to see Danny back this season - he regained full strength in time but time was the key! I guess we’ll just have to hope a suitibale replacement can be found before the cut off really don’t want to going r/r in playoffs should we reach them
  13. To be fair would’ve been a little more comfortable had nico not suffered a puncture when leading and if rory hadn’t cut nico off in 15 then he was going round both and would’ve been a 4-2 also stopping Redcar getting a point - although not a big win we were ahead from heat 1 and generally in control throughout, riss looked good all night, Garcia a good start and should get better on the Home track in the next few weeks I know Wallinger is a stop gap etc. But from what I’ve seen today the only points he’s gonna get will be inherited via exclusions and retirements - puts a lot of pressure on the other guys knowing we’ve either gotta win with 6 riders or 5 when running r/r for Danny!
  14. No one can have any idea what the league structures will be next year - this year frankly has been a disaster! Wednesdays are no good for top league it should be Mondays fixed night as woffy said in the speedway star end of. The lack of fixtures in the championship has been farcical - I’d imagine there’ll be more changes for next year again
  15. e management were damned if they do damned if they don’t! There isn’t an abundance of riders available, it’s clear with the guests available for danyon and mountain at reserve we weren’t going to get the points we needed! while I’m not bowled over with the changes made the simple fact is riss should do as well as Jeppesen and in truth should score more, Garcia will score more than mountain home and away and when kemp gets in he should get a few points too. for me the big pressure now is on heeps to do his job and get a minimum of 7 away from home and 9/10 at home every week - if he carries on getting 3 away from Homeetc. Then it doesn’t really matter who’s staying or coming in you can forget it!

  17. But also if dare I say we lost a rider to injury during the meeting it leaves us vulnerable.....again! We’ve just lost a meeting to a team we should’ve comfortably beat at home! Let’s face it Workington still only just got it done in the last race! We had no option to bring a guest in for cam but we do for Danny so why not do so - cannot have anymore slip ups if we have any chance of getting in the playoffs
  18. Don’t understand why we’re going with r/r for Danny on Thursday!? Surely could’ve found a more than adequate guest with just Swindon/Somerset riding and an individual at Sheffield.....????? https://ipswichwitches.co/preview-ipswich-v-redcar-championship/
  19. Curious decision to drop Jeppesen - disappointed we didn’t get to see more of him! i can understand wanting to get Garcia in at reserve we need more points from the reserve positions - I really like Connor he’s a great kid, hard working and professional but I think he’d benefit from a different home track, Foxhall just isn’t one of his best - 7 rides 4 points on Thursday that’s just not going to get the team results! Really hope both Connor and Jeppesen get fixed up elsewhere ASAP great we’ll get to see drew this season tho I guess this seems to indicate we’re relying on guests for Danny then
  20. There was rumour in the previous off season that if ipswich has of gone up to the top league Doyle was gonna be our no.1 and guy nicholls (tru7 group) would’ve helped fund it to make it happen!
  21. Didn’t even think about perks - I’d give him a go over riss every time gotta back the young brits
  22. On witches website today Hawkins quoted as saying Jonas injury isn’t too bad at all - whereas danyon has had surgery on his shoulder so was basing this on Jonas being good quickly - similarly if wasn’t to be his average is assessed and lends to another new swede/Dane if one could be found https://ipswichwitches.co/hawkins-we-need-riders-asap/
  23. Masters 10.4 schlein 9.58 covatti 6.64 jeppeson 5.2 riss 4.86 mountain 3.62 a national league rider on a 2 comes to 42.3 - my pick in the absence of being able to select drew kemp would be tom Brennan for 2 point man can’t see him scoring much less than danyon once into the swing of it covatti going well Home and away now as third heat leader and would have a top 1&5 capable of scorin heavily Home and away Mark riss goes well at Foxhall and can slot in at no.2 be a bit tough on heeps but he’s been no where near the level he reached last year - we need a competitive one to seven home and away and he just hasn’t been reliable enough - can’t see how else we can pull in a sufficient replacement for Danny without redeclaring
  24. If camptons average is still around the 5/6 point mark Louis and Hawkins need to be moving heaven and earth to get him in a witches jacket next year - you will not get a rider on that average that goes better around Foxhall, he’d probably end up averaging around 8-9 at home riding at 3 or 4
