Don’t think you’d get r.worrall and lawsonnin same team again would you? Big fall out at Glasgow couple of years ago
-
Sounds like Hawkins doesn’t necessarily get on with buster!
-
Is that confirmed or just a rumour?!

You can’t have it both ways, if clubs want loyalty in the manner the initial post is suggesting and first refusal a year later then riders need to be contracted and salaried, you can’t have riders being self employed and therefore if they’re injured don’t get paid etc. But then come the end of the season have absolutely no control over who they sign for and at the mercy of a club. If you want it to be this way then clubs need to sign riders onto multi year contracts with a weekly wage agreed and performance related bonuses on top of that more like in say football as an example. But there’s simply isn’t the money in the sport to do this! The original post seems to forget these guys are people trying to make a living the same as anyone else, they’re fortunate to be skilled enough at something as fun a racing motorbikes against there friends for a living but that doesn’t make them any different to anyone else and should be treated accordingly. imagine you’re subcontracted to build an extension for a bigger firm. Once the job is done you get offered to build an extension for someone else for more money than the firm you’ve done a contracted job for, would it be reasonable let alone legal for that firm to say you can’t go and build an extension for someone else because I want you to do this for less money, I’m not willing to employ you full time and pay you a salary all year round but if you don’t agree because you’ve just sub contracted on a job for me, you can’t work anywhere else in this country for 12 months!! Farcical idea isn’t it!

I guess I’m just used to knowing the team nice and early and going up to the track to get my season ticket Christmas time so just a bit eager to know the team and start looking ahead to next season!!
-
Superb 6 around foxhall, should be enough depth to pick some points up on the road too to be fair. without any reductions it only leaves 2.27 for last spot though so not sure who qualifies for reductions and if so would it be enough to get it up to 3 for last spot? also when I suggested a team with cook and Lawson in before someone intimated that there’s bad blood between the pair and wouldn’t likely ever see them in same side!? I have no knowledge of this so don’t know how true that may be! The silence is deafening tho just wanna know now!!
-
Surely with Lemon being Aussie manager, you guys will get first option on Lidsey now he’s eligible for a visa? Has to be worth a punt berge
-
Well if it applies to those two instead of nicholls team would still fit so still a worker!
-
Ok how about rory Schlein 7.92 bwd 5.27 danny king 6.36 scott nicholls 6.48 troy batchelor 7.69 nico covatti 4.70 ryan Douglas 4.08 42.5 exact! Note this is with Danny and Scott being eligible for the 2.5% reduction, I’m still not entirely sure if they are or not! would be a superb team at Foxhall and have a strong reserve pair all year
-
Side note, Ryan Douglas back in the uk next year 2017 champ average is 6.12 so converts to 4.08 in Prem, has always been pretty useful round Foxhall think he could certainly do a good job on that average at reserve.
-
Woffinden to me is probably the most skilful and talented rider in the world currently and has been the last few years - but it’s everything else that’s made him a 3 time world champ, lost count of how many times I’ve heard him say in interviews I know no one is working harder than I am off the bike to be the best he can be on the bike! All the top guys work so hard to maximise their potential and make any tiny little gain they can to help give them an edge, matej Zagar for example is a reserve in the Slovenian special forces - each winter he spends a couple of months training in the forest with them - a far cry from an Australian beach and cooler full of beer!
-
No worries bud easily done! Like I said for me cam just isn’t good value even at reserve on that mark! ive got nothing against the lad and still think there’s bags of untapped potential in there, but in any sport raw talent only gets you so far, attitude, application and dedication to being the best athlete you can be play just as big a part of not bigger and for me he’s had several opportunities now and time and time again come up short. To be fair I remember going to mildenhall when he first came over as a 15 year old he was instantly a revelation yet 7 years on how far has he progressed? I would say at 15/16 he looked every bit as special as Robert lambert or dan Bewley and look at where they’ve taken their careers in half the time!
-
Cams final prem average for wolves 2018 is listed as 4.72 and Nico at Somerset 4.70, despite being dropped before the end of the season surely cams achieved prem average from last year would still be his starting average for this year!?
-
Please no Heeps, he’s gotta a lot to prove before he deserves another shot at Ipswich imo, especially no we’re back in the top flight! Also surely Nico covatti would be preferrred on basically the same average!? all of the top 5 are formidable at Foxhall though
-
Very good to be fair, would be a good third heat leader at ipswich
-
In fairness a long time ago now, but when batchelor joined us for the second half of a season he was superb at foxhall
-
I think week in week out he would moan about the track being so grippy early on and struggling with it, wore thin after a while
-
I hope kildemand is riding uk somewhere at least next season, he’s always good entertainment
-
Very much doubt it, he never really liked the Foxhall track as his home track, I think we’d likely be behind belle vue, Swindon, Poole at least on his preferred destination list, perhaps peterborough too, but I guess it’s not just down to where he wants to be
-
I’d like to see doyle at no.1 for us next season, always been superb around Foxhall and will score big home and away all year, while I agree it’s good and proven in the last few years to have strength throughout the team you’ve still needed riders that can produce in the big moments towards the end of meetings ie ht13&15 when you need it most. surely being able to boast a world champion in your team will be a good draw through the gates as well!!??
-
To be fair I was a kid in the 90’s so my concept of how tight it was getting back isn’t going to be great I just thought it was more like 11am and 4.30pm but hey ho! Here’s hoping we do get a good double header!!
-
Surely that’s a bit tight in terms of travelling between meetings.....it’s a couple of hours between tracks
-
Thought you had to have a minimum of 4.5 champ average converting to 3 to be eligible to double up to prem!?
-
Curious tho, perhaps wright can earn more elsewhere than bomber is getting at Somerset....
-
Good looking team within a tighter points limit imo, Stefan will easily add points to his average picking off weaker reserves and second strings, Josh Bailey is a more accomplished rider than his last stint in the championship and he’ll likely be racing mostly NL opponents at reserve that he knows he can beat already. With 3 good heat leaders, If Jedd List turns out to the the real deal could be the team to beat!
