  1. Pretty much agree with all of this! i think anyone suggesting niels was a huge disappointment is perhaps being somewhat naive and had unrealistic expectations of what he’d do in just a short stint having not ridden in uk all year and crucially not having ridden the Foxhall track in years - did he get 14/15 every meeting no - did he win important races that the outgoing riders wouldn’t have done to give a better chance yes - did he have two races in the home leg of the grand final pulled back while leading only for the old favourite of the opposition to make great starts in the reruns yes! imo he showed his class at times and while I had hoped for a bit better he wasn’t far off and I would say I don’t think you would find a better rider on 7.54 Ever considered maybe Niels would prefer to ride for Ipswich or another team rather than kings lynn!? You make it sound like if he rides here it’s up to kings lynn where that might be and not Niels!!?? Are far as I’m aware he’s not even a kings lynn asset
  2. So now with the 42.5 limit confirmed I would *realistically like: niels 7.54 klindt 7.43 king 6.83 heeps 6.30 allen 5.56 pickering 4.65 stewert 3.82/jeppesen 4.00 42.13/42.31
  3. If we’re taking a 5.5 point rider from pboro can we have BWD instead of nicholls please really hope king isn’t our second best rider next season, if he is we won’t be strong enough end of.
  4. Doyle has always been a skilful rider but as others have said shoulder injuries definitely hindered progress earlier in his career, he then had a couple of seasons injury free and really progressed and got more opportunities in Sweden and Poland towards the end of a season the turning point imo came the season after that when the visa people messed him around and he could only ride one league and not double up in uk - he chose the top league and was now riding on the continent. I think it was this point when it kind of forced him to look upwards and further himself on the world stage - the then premier league was easy money for him, now he had to be that much better to ensure he was bringing home the money, he grabbed the bull by the horns and his whole career kicked on from there culminating I’m becoming world champion you could argue Craig cook reached a very similar crossroads a season or two ago and couldn’t quite take it to another level and is now back taking easy the Money in championship
  5. Doyle may not be a team rider on track - his attitude is it’s his job to win races , but he for sure is a team man, always helping and guiding younger team riders and helping in the pits
  6. Depends who the reserves are tho doesn’t it, we may yet once again have free scoring reserves
  7. Perhaps but that’s what they said this year and we proved everyone wrong - but to be up there really truly competing at the sharp end you need a strong 1/5 pair and a reserve that wins races imo
  8. Agree - niels would be my no.1 choice at 1 alongside klindt, a proper professional
  9. I would want Nicolai and another at 1/5 - king would have to be 3rd in averages for it to be a strong enough team imo if niels isn’t available maybe Kurtz, batch etc. Maybe even grazjconek but I’m not sure he’s really a number 5
  10. Pickering and Stewart would fit as a pair too - both already better than sarj and both have vastly more potential to improve next season than sarj too while arguably not necessarily being far off nico level
  11. Or both, be a good reserve pairing that!
  12. Would love to see a NKI/klindt spearhead at Foxhall next year - Heeps, Allen and king nailed on to be back I’d have so those 5 and see what we’ve got left to play with! Ellis perks at reserve would be good but can’t see him not at Swindon, Nick Morris goes good at Ipswich on a low average maybe a good look, would like to see Pieszczek given another go maybe, Jonas jeppesen could be a real trump card at bottom end and Josh Pickering I think will be making a move and impact in top flight next season in uk
  13. That’s the one! That and toffee crisps were my childhood in a nutshell, along with Reebok classics
  14. deffo blame poole And I blame Cadbury’s for bringing back the wispa but not the wispa gold
  15. don't think he really got a fair crack at ippo the other season, I'm sure his gating can/has improved somewhat - especially seeing some of his impressive scores on the continent this year, could be a trump card imo coming in likely on a 4
  16. He always seemed professional as did his equipment til he was dropped this season to me, seemed to struggle a lot more of tracks were a bit moist and slippery, always better in second half of the meeting when it slickened off a bit. Good gater and like a roadblock once out in front
  17. Tbh I think Jake will be back with Ipswich, he’s said he wants to ride Ipswich again next year and years to come and the club have tweeted saying how good he’s been this season and unsubtly hinted with emojis they want him back - plus all the fans want him back, can’t see any team permutation at Ipswich not including him
  18. Would like to see KP back too, I think he could become a much more consistent top rider in time, if he’s not at Ipswich I’d think someone would want him on his low average
