As good as he is at Foxhall - No thanks to Cook - makes everything about himself and only applies a good attitude when it suits! how about a danish revolution and Niels klindt and k.bjerre
-
two races gone 2-10 the score, the tie is poised at 51-51, kelvin tatums head has exploded sending nige into a meltdown of all meltdowns, heat 3 play off bomber finally appears and breaks the swindon track record en route to a famous victory for the Witches!! c'mon boys its only halftime, glass is half full, lets get at em! *off to take my medicine now
-
Adam for sure has a lot more ability - only 23 if he gets his head properly focussed still could see him reaching Grand Prix one day.... just depends on the drive and focus
-
Niels, klindt, king, Allen, Heeps, covatti, perks adds up to exactly 42.5 by my reckoning - would be happy with that next season! *all hypothetical team building in my mind works on the premise of a 5 man team build with Danny and Heeps automatically there....! please note that being said I would have Heeps back anyway next year as I think he’s made a big leap this year and with another hard working winter could improve again further next season, particularly needs to work on gating and away form but he’s superb at Foxhall and seems to have a nice understanding with niels on track already. I like Danny he’s a top lad and a good rider but I personally would like to maybe see another younger rider in his place that could potentially improve his average, I think Danny has been at the same level for sometime now - if you could find that 6. Something man that could push up onto 7.5+ that would be the key, with improvement also there in Allen, perks and maybe Heeps. musielak could be one - rides Foxhall well but think he’s likely giving uk a miss next year chatting to Swindon fans on the the terraces Tuesday night incidentally Becker is the same average as covatti and with a look to youth would pick him over nico but can’t see wolves not having him there next year
-
Fair enough all matters of opinion, from my perspective niels was winning two races that were rerun, in both reruns the opposing riders got big flyers that should have been pulled back particularly Musielak, and as we saw last night those that got put in front mostly stayed there.
-
Why are you hating on niels? Was leading two races that got pulled back otherwise would’ve been 14 points tonight - can’t do it all on his own! danny a big let down
-
Can’t understand why the track wasn’t prepared much heavier with a greater home advantage in mind! had the luck against us tonight at times with people falling when we’re on heat advantages twice and the reruns ending up the other way, but being honest if you put the 1-7 against each other I think most would agree only jake is the stronger rider against his opposite number in Vissing, Swindon are now likely champions and credit to them a very good team, enjoy it because you’ll be losing a few to fit it in again next year! heres hoping for witches 5-1’s in the opening 2 heats Thursday to level the tie and get things interesting!!

One of your most sensible posts ever Steve!! I’m not on top of the stadium, as the crow flies I possibly live 12 miles away or so but I’m pretty sure the stadium will be very similar, I’ve had 38mm of rain in my gauge since Friday but it’s supposedly dry all day today! Covers over the past couple of days would’ve meant they can then prepare a decent track today while it’s dry for tonight’s meeting

So with that in mind certainly for a team around Ipswich it would make sense to have Heeps Allen and covatti all will clean up at reserve and hold their own in the team and ensure good a good reserve all season. Perhaps a revision to my initial suggestion swapping nuts for sarjeant would then fit? looking at it differently however i think the key is finding that rider or riders that have a breakout season and really improve like Swindon have with Rasmus and we have had with Heeps and Allen, and maybe to a lesser extent for wolves Douglas Potential breakout candidates for next season in my opinion (in no particular order) luke becker Krystian pieszczek ryan douglas josh pickering broc nicol ellis perks Jordan Stewart all of these boys potentially have at least a 2pt increase in them next season with the correct attitude and equipment Other new riders I’d think should be considered would be Charles Wright and Eric Riss, Charles appears to be on the up and Riss goes great guns at Foxhall, Musielak, batchelor and Ellis also good at Foxhall and Swindon can’t keep all their top 5! jonas jeppesen the young Dane has had a very decent season on the continent this year and looks a real racer could be a potential trump card at reserve - if we managed to keep niels for a full season next year too then that would be helpful for him learning English tracks to come over and learn from a top Dane
-
Interestingly he has always gone well at Foxhall - obviously can’t say if it’s a favourite of his or not but has always gone well there
-
I only see improvement in Nico riding at reserve, in the main team not consistent enough. Heeps far stronger at home for me and would get the nod if it was either or.
-
Allen Heeps klindt niels covatti king nuts if it fits that’s the 7 I’d go with

Everyone bashes Foxhall, but Chris Louis has tirelessly tried to improve the track within the constraints placed upon doing so over the last few years, and often cites how difficult it has been making it better for the current bikes and how they ride! In addition being honest in my opinion when the weather has played ball this year in the days leading up to and the day of the meeting the track has been prepared very well and produced good racing. This week leading up to Saturday there’s been heavy rain on and off all week with Friday afternoon being particularly torrential! jack holder was a disgrace last night, irrespective of whether it’s a real or fake injury if he’d have brought the correct attitude attacked the track and given his all trying to help his team reach the final he wouldn’t have fallen and hurt/not hurt himself - there’s no valid reason a rider of his ability couldn’t race hard last night, he just didn’t fancy it. up the witches, well done to all our boys dug deep all scored important points and we’re in the final!!

Or people did criticise the German gp track but it’s not the Poole track so it hasn’t got a swarm of angry Poole fans who will vehemently defend anything to do with Poole irrespective of the rationality of said criticism or heaps of evidence just because

See you there! Bringing popcorn

If Hawkins wasn’t giving all the boys all their rides and utilised Allen and tac sub, I think Harris was getting by klindt anyway he’d lined him up and was faster, could say you got lucky in 15 with niels falling and being excluded when leading. im not saying I thought witches were better and deserved to win but some subtle things going a bit different and it easily could’ve been 49-41 or 48-42 which I think would’ve been a fairer reflection, Poole always looking like the winners but witches keeping it close ish
-
Heeps shouldn’t have been excluded couple of races pulled back when riders had only punished themselves so no need as shovlar says king then got away with a roller don’t think niels would’ve fallen in ht15 if grajzczonek hadn’t have slammed into him - admittedly it was a tough call more a racing incident than one rider blatantly knocking another off but I feel it was the contact from josh which did enough for Niels to fall
-
Score line flattered Poole imo, was a much closer meeting than the score line suggest although that said I feel Poole were always going to win. Track was poor throughout. Ref decisions were poor throughout. expect that to be the worst we’ll see Niels from the tapes for the season, he’ll be sharper in the playoffs I’d have thought. heeps is great at Foxhall, needs to be doing better away in playoffs if we’re to stand a chance
-
Tbh in reference to the tactical while in agreement Hawkins regularly fluffs the use of tac sub. He did make a point of saying in meeting preview the result of tonight’s meeting doesn’t have any affect for us but it’s a good chance to get some extra practise and test some things during the meeting so perhaps it’s agreed everyone getting all 4 rides tonight as we may we’ll be back here next week in playoffs
