Perhaps but equally, I’d bite your hand off for 3 points from any away meeting all season! Great result nevertheless -

Careful stu pragmatism doesn’t go down well on the bsf hahaha completely agree pal, and if over the season an extra £2 off roughly 1-2000 fans a meeting makes the difference of the speedway clubs surviving i’m all for it! -
Less than 5.50 cma

Been away for a while, just haven’t felt enthused to talk about speedway! hope everyone’s doing ok Stewart and Rowe two very good signings imo, I assume kemp will be the rising star? Strange not to announce him at same time!? Always been impressed with Stewart he’s gotten better every time I’ve seen him race, be great as he says learning with crumpy as well for sure
-
Absolutely appreciate my stance isn’t going to necessarily be widespread - I’d say we get good attendance at Ipswich all season long, don’t notice the difference between Thursday or Saturdays, just hope we get a decent ish seasons worth of speedway
-
Personally I hate it when Ipswich run meetings on a Saturday as I get grief from the mrs, there’s always some other social event speedway will clash with on a Saturday night whereas I have very little problems on a Thursday evening! I appreciate on the wider scale running on weekends rather than a school night would likely open up to more people likely to go but I can’t see I’d be the only regular at a weeknight team that would miss more meetings should it switch to a weekend!

So what’s the riding order? Crump look fast?

I think you’ll find the contributions are firmly in camp of someone deeply involved with everything Peterborough -

Didn’t think there would ever be a more mind numbing thread on this forum than gavan arguing with poole fans but some how this one has managed it -
I think bewley could be in the gp in 5 years time, depends how determined he is
-
They stopped it a few years back, something to do with if they allowed the public in it would count as an event and they’d have to license it and pay a fee or something
-
That’s a shame, can’t see them letting anyone in then, have to climb a tree over by the 4th bend to catch a look
-
This must be one of those isolated incidents, took 2 seconds to find on YouTube, simply by searching for “Nicki pedersen speedway” no mention of crashes/incidents in the search yet 10 of the top 12 hits are of crashes and incidents - there’s a correlation there and denying it is just blind, he has a reputation for a reason. I’m no Nicki hater but imo he crosses the line and I’m sure if you asked his peers they’d agree
-
JD a tough rider, give him half a space he’s going to be ruthless - no different to lindgren, zmarzlik and most of the other riders fighting for world championship at the sharp end, crump, gollob were always ruthless racers as were many other world champions including Nicki - where Nicki has differed over the years is consistently is taking it one stage further and rather than just racing hard deliberately riding the man into the fence, he’s also guilty of laying on people taking the fall and conning the ref countless times throughout his career - I agree with you Nicki can be treated harshly at times as a result of his reputation but frankly he has himself to blame imo
-
Can see wright hitting 7 this year, he’s steadily improved year on year, home track at belle vue will suit him too

not sure it would've been that difficult to fit the three of them in tbh - could swap niels and lambert for riss and proctor, no lambent isn't going to pull up trees but scores at lynn, think i know who id prefer as my third heat leader and proctor was woeful last season, no guarantees he turns it around this year is there -
In my opinion 7.61 is an inflated average for tungate - he’s a 6.5 man hans had a horrendous year off the track and I think with that behind him and a clearer head then yes he’s going to improve on last year, and could as suggested put a point back on harris it really depends on if his wrist injury has healed properly as it never really did last year he quite clearly just couldn’t hold on or turn properly a lot of the time, but being honest he’s been in decline for the last few years and I just don’t view him as a consistent heat leader/Heavy scorer anymore nicholls will likely do well at reserve however his level has dropped in a big way in the past couple of seasons imo, have watched him at Ipswich for 20 years now - his back yard and in the past couple of seasons he’s been well beaten around Foxhall by some very ordinary riders in both championship and premiership I don’t see him averaging much more than 6 really Merely my opinion not knocking any of the riders - just can’t see all 6 of the so far announced riders all putting a point on their average as you suggested
-
I rate pboro but can’t see a point improvement in everyone personally, palm toft at 6.3 is about the highest he’ll avg - he’s good value to maintain that but can’t see him going north of 7, can’t see tungate getting up to 7.59 either 7 as a threshold imo, nicholls and hans will improve I think and possibly bomber with a more preferred home track - is niels really gonna go up to 8.54?? More like 8 max imo, not knocking anyone just think you’re over exaggerating
-
Does anyone know when press and practise is scheduled?
-
Thought last years suits were very good, never understand people moaning they can’t tell who’s who - they tell you before the race who’s in it, as does the program and they were different colour helmets to differentiate
-
Chris’s commitment to improving the track has to be commended, every off season he’s looking to improve the shape for the benefit of the racing and fans
-
Very difficult to make predictions before we’ve seen a few meetings - I do however think the league like it’s going to be very close this year, no one looks like they’re going to run away with it and similarly no one looks like they’re going to be tailed off either. Home form will be paramount for everyone
