  1. I’d take him over batchelor, very similar averages. he was great the meeting he guested for us last season
  2. He’s good at Foxhall, he’s good at wolves and he’s good at Leicester at least so for me if he’s essentially coming in for summers/barker from last years team it’s a fairly hefty upgrade
  3. Think this is likely the team, essentially upgrading summers/barker to nick Morris and swapping out starke for Kenyan rew. It’s a better side than last year imo, if it is the team hopefully rew finds his feet quickly as does whoever the rising star is, shame we can’t have Hume for another season at 7 as he’s great round foxhall
  4. Maybe if you actually went and watched some live speedway you’d see for yourself how Doyle is so easily worth that and an awful lot more!
  5. If he can get his straight then yes kemp 100%, seems to put far too much pressure on himself to impress riding for his home club to his detriment, arguably even as an away rider he was doing the same last year, if he can get his head right he’s very talented on the bike but beats himself a lot still atm
  6. Doyle 10.32 King 6.40 Morris 6.48 Riss 6.00 Ellis 6.72 Hume 3.07 = 38.99 rising star fits nicely, could swap any of Ellis/king/Morris for batch and upgrade Hume to a 4 point newcomer, not sure if there’s value in that or not tho. not sure who is the best rising star choice either really, possibly Jenkins or gilkes, Rowe has ability but he’d need to show about 10000% more commitment for British speedway to get another chance imo.
  7. I’m all for Hume being back he was superb last imo, but only if it facilitates the saving in points actually being used in the top 5 id take Hume and Chris holder over king and rew for example
  8. That’s a dangerous path to walk tho isn’t it, you’re saying £20 is your upper limit, being honest many people probably in the same boat, offer riders too much and don’t get the gate clubs fold. If they signed 7 world beaters and put it up to say £25 so many people wouldn’t go they’d crumble sadly. one thing to be said for Louis he’s always run the club responsibly and not overreached financially in the bid for success, we’ve seen so many clubs fold I’d take 10 more years of near misses and consistent speedway than a year of success and closure.
  9. Think Morris has improvement on 6.48, he’s a better rider round Foxhall than monmore imo, but agree not super exciting, the correct 4pt young euro rider at 6 could make all the difference to how the team looks tho that said I maintain to be successful come the business end of meetings and the season Doyle needs a proper number 5 to back him up at the top end
  10. Don’t think that’ll be far wrong, think the idea of a new euro youngster on a 4 would be more exciting than Allen.
  11. Not enough top end power. personally got no interest in having barker back, let himself and teams down last year
  12. I don’t think kemp has a bad attitude, I think he struggles with the mental side of the sport, needs to toughen up his mental fortitude a bit because he has talent.
  13. If Hume didn’t do enough for a reserve spot again this season then that’s just the perfect illustration of everything wrong with this sport. His effort, attitude and points contributions were the only consistent noteworthy performances for the witches all season outside of Doyle. the kid made a huge stride forward this year, absolutely no reason why he can’t do it again, especially if he keeps close to the likes of Doyle and keeps listening to him. sad to see so many people on here knocking lads like Danyon Hume and Connor mountain, we lose so many lads with promise in this sport because they’re not given the support and backing. what kind of a message does it send to lads like Danyon off the back of his best career season if we all turned round and said well done last year but no one wants you now as a senior reserve
  14. Louis doesn’t normally start formally naming names until the whole team is signed
  15. Haha apologies mate, I was replying to the post you had replied to saying he’s 26 injury prone and not going to improve, quoted the wrong post haha
  16. Completely disagree tbh, and part way through the season there was an interview with Doyle in the programme where he said he thinks Danyon could go a lot further in his career because he listens, went on to say the teams been much stronger since he came in for the other guy… clearly made a much bigger impression on Doyle than rowe
  17. Does Hume not get a 25% reduction on his rs achieved average? if he does then you could have Hume in place of Rowe in second proposed team
  18. Happily take him at Ipswich if belle vue don’t want him
  19. At some point last season shamek pawlicki was in talks with Ipswich, was too expensive tho and ultimately Tungate came in. Was keen/interested by all accounts tho so not unimaginable he could be tempted here next season.
  20. Sam masters has always been pretty up front with his dislike of Scunthorpe!
  21. Can’t disagree, think both Adam Ellis and nick Morris could be improvers with Foxhall as their home track and riding with Doyle - both have had some of their best seasons riding alongside him at Swindon. Realistic targets cost wise, add in riss Hume an exciting euro newcomer and another and be a very good season
  22. Holder and musielak already confirmed, I wondered if Ellis may be on the move, time will tell
  23. Doyle kerr riss ellis morris 4 euro newcomer hume Good backup for Doyle, Morris rides Foxhall better than monmore so should be stronger backup for Doyle along with Ellis, again great at Foxhall. Lewi gating ability at 2 with Doyle would produce lots of 5-1’s too imo
  24. Ultimately the main thing you have to have is a no.5 to back up Doyle, then go from there, assume king will be back and hope Danyon is he’s been superb this year. for me I’d start Doyle Zagar riss Danyon and go from there, assume king is back too that adds up to 34.18 without any reductions maybe look at ben cook from Poole and would really like to see a young European newcomer, gusts, salonen, Hansen etc etc good mix of youth and experience, potential in cook and newcomer, and crucially some top end back end for Doyle in zagar
