  1. I said on another thread the other day that the daytime meetings often lead to slick tracks and a lack of home advantage at Foxhall and many other teams fans scoffed at the idea kings Lynn would be our closest challenger at home so far this season, took a while but the boys got themselves in front for a comfy win in the end. be interested to know how much extra revenue a bank holiday meeting brings on the gate and whether it’s still of value to run them as we get decent crowds on Thursday nights and the daytime meetings the track is always tough to keep the moisture in the material to provide grip and a dirt line
  2. News flash no one on either team was contractually obliged to ride in the 2nd half
  3. An alternative to having less teams in the league could be 6 man teams, was 6 men in 1998 when the witches everything, happy memories as a wee nipper from that season, certainly not diminished product by having smaller sides
  4. You only need to get 31 points to be the closest meeting at Foxhall so far…😅 I still think the witches will have more than enough however I’ve stood on the terraces for many slick dusty afternoon bank holiday meetings over the years and watched normally lesser away riders enjoy the conditions and beat our boys, seem to remember palm-toft being a particularly good one meeting when rarely being great at Foxhall! klindt and Lawson can both be pretty handy round Foxhall - particularly when it’s slick and they historically can both trap, Kvech was pretty good at Foxhall last year, I think KL will be good for 31+ points to support my original statement of “the closest an away team has run us so far”
  5. Kings Lynn bank holiday afternoon meeting will be the closest so far this season at Foxhall i would guess, afternoon slick track meeting at Foxhall usually hammer the home track advantage somewhat and lends to away gaters
  6. Be interesting to see who comes out on top in the champion of the evening and how hard Doyle and Emil try to beat each other…I think in general is a smidge better round Foxhall but Emil is bloody quick!
  7. There’s precedent to show that’s more than viable with the massive stock car weekend event they’ve held over the years too
  8. He didn’t say Foxhall was a better track, just that it can hold more fans…which is correct sidenote, (and I’m not saying it’s should or has to be Ipswich where I’m a fan) but I think it would be superb to see a Grand Prix on a small tight technical track like we have in the UK, I love my speedway and the Grand Prix series but much of it is all on the same style big open space tracks. I was never a fan of lakeside particularly but some of the best racing I’ve seen was the likes of Ward and Woffinden round there!
  9. Had a nice style on the bike I was enthused when we signed him up, shame we never saw him in the witches jacket. Has he packed up all together too?
  10. In each of the last two seasons you’ve used Mulford and Bailey at RS, you also sent for young Brit Connor mountain for a hotdog when he was doing a solid job to bring in Tate Zischke. i have no problem with these things but you carry on with this rhetoric of “belle vue are saints” and everyone else are cheats and evil especially Ipswich and it’s just so bloody tiresome, and then tell everyone else they’re trolls!
  11. I’m sure over the course of the season the fact it rains every other day in Manchester will ensure belle vue reach the cut off around a similar time 🤣
  12. You scored 8 points at Foxhall the other week that’s pretty damned abysmal 👍
  13. The start line incident was 6 to 1 half a dozen the other, they were both lining right up against each other and both asked by the start Marshall to move over a bit - wright is an antagonist and can’t hack it when it doesn’t work! Adam beat him fair and square on the track and afterwards wright went after him like he’d found in bed with his wife ffs…
  14. Track work has made a big improvement to the 3&4th bend - utilised superbly last night by several witches riders and gusts & wright. you can slag the racing off all you want but end of the day we can only beat what turns up to race against us and Oxford were woefully far off us last night. Next home meeting is brummies and muesli usually decent around Foxhall and rew is obviously good here and of course will want to take some scalps at his old track so hopefully next home meeting we get to see a bit more of fight than we did last night or two weeks ago when belle vue turned in the worst performance I’ve seen from an away team since 1998
  15. Tungate was really poor last night, I was particularly surprised at the meek effort from Tungate/sedgemen in heat 11, the experience of those two guys and around Ipswich to simply leave half the track to Dan Thompson just ride a planned cut back from gate 4 with no challenge and piss off down the back straight being 15 yards ahead going into the 3rd bend was embarrassing, kudos to Dan was a great first bend etc but them boys should be embarrassed tbh. gusts, wright had a go, magic did look like he was trying too tbf but he’s not the same rider atm, Killeen out of his depth, Sedgmen and Tungate looked like they were going through the motions tbh
  16. Paying out an awful lot of points money atm aren’t they! At least the gates have been high!
  17. Why is Charles wright such a 🔔 🔚 btw? no idea why he got so angry with Ellis, he was the one that Ellis right to the fence, thought it was a good race and then after he has to go and throw his weight around 🤷‍♂️ I assume Ellis was supposed to roll the throttle off and wave him through maybe? 🤣
  18. If no one in the opposition team can beat Danny king on the night then Emil and Doyle are irrelevant
  19. An invasion no doubt orchestrated by the evil owners of the biggest benefactors…you’ve guessed it everyone’s favourites money club Ipswich Witches! The lengths this dark force will go to in a bid to be a success in British speedway eh 🤣
  20. More dirt, moisture held into it creates more lines, if there was actually some grip on the outside at Perry bar the other night we wouldn’t have ended up with a blue groove would we, but because of the track conditions there was literally one line or you went backwards if you drifted off it and the rider wore that one line out!
  21. Depends on your allegiance I guess 😂 I felt for cam at the end cos he did bloody everything and just didn’t quite have a second rider the same level to support him in the big races at the end against the Worralls where there was obviously two of them to gang up on him
  22. There’s a balance but plenty of tracks still have a good bit more dirt on them than Perry bar did on Monday.
