Assuming the first fixture home and away is the 'A' fixture; Swindon 49 Wolves 47 Belle Vue 45 Poole 37 Rye House 35 Somerset 25 Kings Lynn 21 Leicester 19 Doesn't include the point from the first meeting between Rye House and Kings Lynn which was tied on aggregate.

There probably are good reasons for holding the AGM abroad but when the majority of supporters have such a lack of confidence in those running the sport and after another season of farce it's obviously not going to look good. Maybe could have done with something on the BSPA website weeks ago announcing the date and a quick explanation of why they felt it was better to have this meeting in Tenerife.

Sgp Wildcards 2018

Not even a place on the reserve list for Davey Watt? Maybe next year! -
He might have had increased crowds after sacking them but I doubt that was the case for other sides when Kings Lynn turned up with such a weak team.

Right. So it's not acceptable for a club to receive payment in the way that Peterborough did but fine for them to presumably give some of that to another club
-
If it's true that Newcastle have accepted some payment from Peterborough, which you have to assume was part of the Torun money, then shouldn't they be fined whatever that amount was?

Didn't think Swindon had a chance after Monday but certianly proved me wrong, well done to the Robins. Great effort by Wolves overall, when you lose that narrowly someone or something will always get highlighted and unfortunately this time it was Chris Harris. No doubt there was nobody more disappointed and frustrated than Chris himself.

Championship Play Offs
The Cheese replied to Barrow Boy 2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's a KOC semi-final. Quote from Garry May on the Somerset website last week; "we have finally gone ahead with Friday the 22nd, which means that we will at least get preference on any of our riders who might be required to ride in any potential SGB Championship play-off meeting which might be subsequently scheduled for that same night.” -

I assume they should all be at Somerset as that fixture was scheduled first -
Somerset Rebels Vs Poole Pirates 01//09/17

Grajczonek, Lawson and Hougaard have all been below par recently and Allen is a huge miss at home for Somerset. Holder is a loss because overall he has a decent record at the OTA but despite that there's no way Poole should be losing this. -

Not good if Sweden don't have rules on concussion, something that needs to be taken far more seriously -

Impressed by Rye House's new Polish rider, on an average that low he could put 4 or 5 points on it with someone like Middlo getting the best out of him -

Well done to Lambert, good achievement and shows he can handle pressure in these kinds of meetings. Bewley will no doubt learn from the experience, hope it doesn't damage his confidence. -
Grand Prix Challenge 2017

Superb achievement, well done Craig Cook. And to do it after finishing last in his first ride makes it an even better effort. Not a fan of Dudek but lets hope he has a decent end to the season and confirms Cook's place. -
Australians have that extra determination to succeed, your only getting the best of their talent coming here and they know they have to make the best of that chance or it could be all over. In Britain we don't have that, it's in the mentality to take the easier route and not embrace the challenges. Kids are brought up being told at school that it's ok to finish last, it's the taking part that counts, everyone is a winner etc. It's nonsense but we get it into our heads and in the majority it stays there. You need to have that competitiveness, to be ruthless to reach the top level, it's hard to find that when you are taught that it doesn't matter. It's not just this sport, look at how few footballers take the opportunity to move abroad, and those who do generally don't last long. Easy option of staying in this country with all the home comforts, not having to bother learning a new language, possibly being away from family etc and they take it even if it means not giving yourself the best chance of improving. Look at Jason Doyle now. I know he had so many injury problems but he was comfortable doubling-up and maybe he didn't quite have that determination. Because of the visa issues he was forced to give up riding for Somerset and had to concentrate on Leicester and make the most of the chances he got abroad. I guess it's hard for British riders to force themselves to drop the 2nd tier but the likes of Cook, Lambert, probably Steve Worrall need to do that now. Might be difficult at first if you don't get the opportunities in other countries straight away but you have to stick with it.
