  1. Maybe a Poole Pirates themed cafe/coffee shop could work... Timo Latte Mars Gunnestad Krzysztof Flaprjack Cheese Swist Sergey Parkin Magnum Zetterstrom Antonio Lindtback Adam Quornicki All whilst watching highlights on the Big Joe Screen!
  2. Great to see Doyle back. Might take a few heavy defeats away but should be very strong at home which was the problem last year. Having a strong reserve in BWD/Allen all season will take the pressure off Jeppesen and allow him time to settle.
  3. All 4 signed so far you would expect to increase their average so a good start but it would be a shame if there was no room for Wright.
  4. Henry Atkins and Richard Andrews both confirmed for Plymouth
  5. Good start with Lawson returning. Should be able to increase that average to over 7
  6. There's only 8 games that will be played at that time
  7. If a genuine number 1 isn't available; Hans Andersen 7.75 Robert Lambert 7.38 Steve Worrall 6.77 Charles Wright 6.69 Richard Lawson 6.43 Jake Allen 5.07 leaves 2.41 so either Simon Lambert or someone on a 2
  8. Even if they aren't getting offered any money and BT are just prepared to cover the costs of showing meetings I don't see why anyone with sense would turn that down. Most clubs had 1 home meeting shown last year, surely the added sponsorship deals that can be made from being shown on TV is worth more than a few people who don't bother turning up because they can watch it at home? And if people are not attending tracks because a meeting from elsewhere is being shown then perhaps promoters should be asking themselves why people prefer to stay at home and watch something they could easily record instead of just blaming it for their problems. It's about time that it was made public who votes for what at these meetings, just like in other sports.
  9. Think Lambert will benefit from a spell away from Kings Lynn, would be a good signing as long as he's not expected to be the number 1
  10. SWC week is always one of the highlights of the year so disappointing to see it go, not a fan of pairs meetings especially when they are actually teams of 3 riders
  11. Looking forward to seeing how Martin Buechele ik does for Leicester
  12. Assuming the first fixture home and away is the 'A' fixture; Swindon 49 Wolves 47 Belle Vue 45 Poole 37 Rye House 35 Somerset 25 Kings Lynn 21 Leicester 19 Doesn't include the point from the first meeting between Rye House and Kings Lynn which was tied on aggregate.
  13. There probably are good reasons for holding the AGM abroad but when the majority of supporters have such a lack of confidence in those running the sport and after another season of farce it's obviously not going to look good. Maybe could have done with something on the BSPA website weeks ago announcing the date and a quick explanation of why they felt it was better to have this meeting in Tenerife.
  14. Not even a place on the reserve list for Davey Watt? Maybe next year!
  15. Well done to Jason Doyle. And how often do we see someone win the title halfway through a meeting then tail off/don't bother, great to see none of that from Jason despite having the handy excuse of resting his injury if he wanted to. Congrats to Tai on the bronze as well
  16. Easy enough to find out the truth. He posted on Facebook yesterday saying he was flying to England so should have the ticket to prove it. If not then he should get a ban starting from the first fixture next season.
  17. I know Sheffield have a few injuries but do they suddenly only have Graversen left?
  18. He might have had increased crowds after sacking them but I doubt that was the case for other sides when Kings Lynn turned up with such a weak team.
  19. Right. So it's not acceptable for a club to receive payment in the way that Peterborough did but fine for them to presumably give some of that to another club
  20. If it's true that Newcastle have accepted some payment from Peterborough, which you have to assume was part of the Torun money, then shouldn't they be fined whatever that amount was?
  21. Might stop rain-offs but wind-offs would soon become a problem! If this ever happened I would imagine the cost wouldn't be cheap and with the reluctance of most tracks to even invest in covers I can't see it being a solution for speedway.
  22. Didn't think Swindon had a chance after Monday but certianly proved me wrong, well done to the Robins. Great effort by Wolves overall, when you lose that narrowly someone or something will always get highlighted and unfortunately this time it was Chris Harris. No doubt there was nobody more disappointed and frustrated than Chris himself.
  23. So Shuttleworth is now missing from the Colts' play-off semi final to be at number 8 and probably not needed for the Aces? I assume any National League rider can now miss a meeting in that league to be included as a number 8 in a higher division
