Peterborough Panthers 2023

I asked this question a number of weeks ago and was told that MT put an offer in and then withdrew said offer a number of hours later due to stuff that was going on within his own business at the time, but whether that’s true or not I don’t know for sure -

I’ve not been on here in a while purely because it’s mostly the same things being repeated and us fans are pretty much mostly in the dark. however I feel there are several things that don’t add up to me, busters announcement last night was poor, his attitude of all hope is lost wasn’t the right way to go when you’ve loads of people tirelessly trying to fight for the clubs survival. my second point that I don’t understand is when you’ve people that were interested in buying the club why when there’s not much to sell would you not just sell up and get out, when one of the only things buster has reminded us of time and time again is that he wanted nothing to do with Peterborough this year, now is this because the pay off from AEPG is bigger than the sum you could get for the club??? I spoke with dale allit at great length several weeks ago and he was very open with what’s going on so in that respect fair play to him, but what we are told and what buster says are more often than not polar opposites. Constantly praises the supporters and the track for being the best in the country but has the attitude of all hope is lost, well as many have said before if there is a lot of objections then it will create issues for PCC so surely that’s the first step you’d be taking rather than dismissing everything. -

Can’t understand why Douglas stays at wolves, he’s not the best round there but I guess he enjoys riding in a team with his good mates maybe. But I agree he rides the showground better than pretty much anyone -

He’s been poor tho, had 2 decent meetings and that’s it -

I think it’s obvious that they aren’t going to make any changes now. How on earth Hans and worrall are still holding a job down is beyond me, you’ve worrall who can gate but then goes straight too the outside line and just goes backwards and then you’ve someone with the experience of Hans who is way past it, but seemingly unwilling too admit/accept that and call time on his career. Vadim is a fantastic addition and an exciting watch. Basso doesn’t seem overly thst bothered like he use too but still trying, jenkins continues to give his all. And Ben cook is still on the pace but realistically shouldn’t be expected to score loads when riding at 2, Hans is putting more pressure on other riders due to how bad he’s actually got. Really don’t hold out any hope for any further changes -

Purely due too his away form wasn’t anywhere near his home form around the NSS, but as I say, would definitely take him if he was willing too ride at Peterborough if it were me -

Couldn’t be doing with having KK, Cook deserves his place in this team on effort alone more than most -

Although I wouldn’t necessarily say Zager is a clear cut number 1, it certainly adds some firepower which we desperately need, should be good for 10 points a meeting -

Tomalin was wondering about on the centre green amongst other things, you’d of thought given how tough things have been and Ben getting injured he’d of spent time in the pits firing the boys up rather than hugging the mascots…. With regards to picking up kings Lynn’s scraps I wouldn’t consider Josh Pickering as scraps. Would be a great addition to the side -

Likewise I’d say it’s his attitude that some people don’t like but the fact remains he rides the showground aswell as anyone so he’d be good too have for that reason alone -

Always some excuse and as I say, a rider with his experience and knowledge those excuses can only go on for so long -

He’s awful and has to go, for someone with so much track knowledge he makes more mistakes than not when choosing certain lines to ride. He is beyond poor. If he stays and goes to reserve then that won’t make a difference in my opinion. Needs too call it a day, clearly not upto it by a long way anymore -

For the life of me, why some were saying he needs to go is totally beyond me. Such a talent and tonight showed. If there is someone that needs too go then it’s Hans for me, absolutely awful, he’s the major weak link and the fact he’s captain is just crazy -

Can’t actually believe some of the stuff the promotion have been saying on social media, regardless of the fact that a couple of there points are valid too an extent, I think more than not is out of order taking that approach towards paying customers who clearly only do moan because naturally they wish too see there club doing well -

The reason I continue too go is because it’s my team I’ve supported since 2005, win or lose I will continue too go and I will continue too give my opinion, believe you me I’m well aware it’s a waste of money and the choice too go or not is mine but this is likely the last speedway I’ll see at Peterborough as I wouldn’t go anywhere else -

Of all the people I would listen to on this forum you aren’t one of them. Hans did win us the title yes, but that’s irrelevant 17 years on when he’s a club captain scoring next too nothing -

If Andersen isn’t sacked now then he never will be, that bloke in my eyes has gone from an outstanding club legend too a woeful way past his best club captain who needs too pass the torch and call it a day. I thought he was crap last year but this is ridiculous, Iversen has done nothing, worrall has had one decent meeting and that’s about it. Basso is actively trying and the same for Ben cook, and jenkins is continuing to make steady progress. This joke is going on too long and the performances on track are just abysmal. I’m not gunna sit here like a happy clapper and go down the route of thinking ourselves lucky, at the end of the day we are still paying for this rubbishe, it’s there job, you wouldn’t go around bodging jobs and still get paid top dollar so why are we paying that for this rubbish. There literally is no positives anymore, anyone that fully believes there is is in dreamland or on some very good gear -
He wanted other riders in the team and that was essentially black balled by good old buster, with that in mind he didn’t want too be team manager and as previously stated it was only the morning of P&P that he agreed too do it so rob Lyon in my opinion isn’t too blame for anything at all! Wouldn’t blame him if he walked away

I agree with you regarding worrall, I think flappy said it the other day, you put on form worrall and an on form basso, Ben is the better rider who is more capable, he’s in his second season and is basically the 2nd heat leader, too much expected of him. Worrall has been around the block long enough, never gunna be anything more than a reserve/2nd string. Yeah he was great at Leicester but bar that?? Got passed nearly every race at home too Bellevue when leading races -

Can’t justify a defense for it it’s pathetic, sitting there saying oooooo be grateful, what that we are parting with good money so the club still gets money from it regardless of the standard. Completely agree with you here -

The only way I’d think of including him in the side was If it was at reserve, replacing Andersen with Cook changes nothing in the grand scheme in my opinion. It is what it is unfortunately and what it is is a sad state of affairs
