  1. please, if there is a speedway god, can he give us Rene Bach?
  2. Simon Stead has retired, and what a great career he had. To end on a PLRC win is spectacular, best of luck to him for the future! In other news, Sheffield's 2017 team looks like it could really bring in some trophies. Some great signings there, shame we couldn't steal Grajczonek.
  3. Is there a link? Tried looking for a while, couldn't find anything.
  4. In my opinion, re-naming the premier league to the championship was a bad move. It's because every time i see the word, i think of the EPL championship in football. The league that no one really cares about, the league that's always second best. Even if it is the middle league, to me, it makes it now sound like the premier league teams are boring. Whereas with a name like "the premier league", it sounds like it's a big deal. The league above was the Elite League, the best of the best. Both leagues sounded equally great. But now that the Elite League has the Premiership brand, it makes it seem like promoters are trying to push the focus onto that league instead of an equal share between them. That's my two cents, anyway. ☺️
  5. Barker practically rode for every team in the league this year, I'm sure he'll end up somewhere.
  6. No riders confirmed for the Monarchs, Bears, Witches or Diamonds, literally anything could happen. This is why I love the buildup to the new season.
  7. Just found a little bit of news, and that news is that Ipswich Witches will be revealing their full team in a Facebook livestream on Monday! I'll try my best to post them, hopefully with averages .
  8. Hopefully with "The Magic Man" *cringe* Matej Kus in the lineup!! Maybe they'll beat their record of total 5-1's, think it was 20 they scored this year. More of those and more trophies, and i'll be a happy fan.
  9. http://speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31627 just came up, I guess it's true.
  10. http://speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31625 Josh Grajczonek to Sheffield on an 8.90 average just a bit gutted because i wanted him to see him in Diamonds Kevlars haha, best of luck to him!
  11. Lindgren and Kus wasn't a surprise, since they spend more time trying to outrace each other and end up getting a 5-1 haha!
  12. I kind of wanted both the Worrall's back, but I had a bad feeling history would repeat itself and one of would somehow end up having a bad season.
  13. I'm just wondering if there's going to be any surprise signings for us. It would be nice to get some more silverware with a fresh face. Then again, it would be nice to win anything at all!
  14. That's right. For example, JPB has never ridden in the premier league (championship, whatever ) so will start on a 2.00. Danny Phillips for Newcastle didn't achieve a 3.00 average at the end of the season, so his average will drop to a minimum of 2.00
  15. Davey Watt to Rye House, couldn't find his average, sorry!
  16. Jack Parkinson-Blackburn to Sheffield. I'm guessing his average will just be a 2.00 since he hasn't been in the premier league yet. http://speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31582
  17. Kenneth Hansen at Peterborough on a 6.74 average http://speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31583
  18. I think I recall Danny Phillips saying himself that he's a confidence rider in one of the programmes where he got interviewed. I really want to see him do well and move forward in his career. The pass he made last Sunday against Edinburgh proves that he has what it takes, it's just the confidence and the little bit of extra experience required that's holding him back. Good on him for trying to improve though!
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if Glasgow went 50+ points at home. Sure, Sheffield are a good team with quality riders. But it won't be enough. 54-36 to Glasgow is my prediction. Good luck to both teams, should be a great meeting.
  20. Yep, Ashley Morris is confirmed for the Diamonds no.6 While I can't see it being a whitewash, I feel like the lads will steal a win. Looking forward to Sunday!
