Big ask for Lunnato ride at 3 imo. I can see why they've done it so we have a stronger rider at 4 with so called easier rides etc but he's no Paul Starke for example.
We tried that in 2016 where he started the season at number 1, moved to 5 and then finished at 3.
He rode at 1, 3 and 5 again in 2015
4 & 5 in 2014
And of course rode all of last season at 4
The problem is it always seems just another matter of time before another winter of discontent and self implosion.
Nobody can tell me though that it was only the potential fine that seens us track this side.
It surely would've been cheaper to track 7 british riders instead of the three 3rd rate Danes and the seemingly injury prone Finn.
