  1. Tsunami - the people talking re Weather are the same people who turned up, who live nearer the stadium than I do who have the sense and ability to look up at the sky and not judge one comment on here. A promoters nightmare? Promoters are a nightmare to themselves as they've all played their part running the sport into the ground, my post had zero effect on the attendance, in fact poor promotion is the reason why numbers at foxhall has fallen. Maybe next time through admission I will use the following face 😂😂😂😂 just to make it crystal clear I was joking.
  2. Not surprised no barker someone from Peterborough tweeting their thoughts on him from Thursday night
  3. But if you took the heat leaders out of the championship and the current second strings became heat leaders, the likes of hume, jpb etc became second strings and lower end NL riders slotted in as reserves, would this not be a better development path?
  4. 4 point Ipswich win tomorrow by at least 12 points If that makes sense
  5. I recall the days of rains offs at Edinburgh traveling up from Exeter don't miss those at all
  6. Did someone mention the weather? 🌞🌞🌞🌞 here in Colchester
  7. The national league would have to go completely to make one big league as it would swallow up the majority of their riders then you'll end up with teams consisting of doyle at no.1 and a 4/5 pplpoint current NL rider at 6/7 it would (Only in my opinion) be worse from a spectacle point of view than now I struggled to complete 12 x 7 rider teams putting ideas together a few weeks ago for just one professional league Worrying times for the sport, but its forever been this way, only time til the lights go out
  8. Clubs don't promote very well but are quick to jump on things they don't like 🌞 think the witches will win but unsure if its 4 points until I see some form of line ups
  9. I'm not knocking JPB he looks amazing for his age but there are many aspects to why it's been a struggle but for me riding in a league against those type of riders will not progress enough youngsters through the system, there will come a time when the likes of JPB will race the danny kings of this world but it would be further down the line when JPB is at a certain level or so be it if king was declining down. I would say its the same for Hume tho if the bottom two leagues were combined he would be second string for a while and would develope beating heat leaders in a combined league. One big league cant work, not enough riders which is why I believe a combination league is a must to give more opportunity to younger riders to come into the sport More teams, more team places its a simple equation
  10. A prime example of how wrong the BSPA got it last winter, a young extremely young talented rider who has found the championship tough too tough at this present time. The decision to make the Premiership & Championship closer means that the progress of these youngsters will take even longer. JPB will no doubt drop back down to NL and bang in big points for a 16/17yr old to do that is impressive in itself I know I bang on about things but the Premiership needs to be further away from what the Championship is now and the current championship and NL need to be combined. If this was the case someone like JPB would be more likely a second string rider beating the current crop and scoring points against the NL level riders while at the same time "testing" himself against heat leaders who are currently the lower ran riders in the championship, decent experienced riders too No offence but riders like Masters, King, Harris, J.Holder, Schlein etc are far far too good for the championship and it is no good for the development of younger riders We'll always get the odd exception like a Bewley but if thr BSPA are serious about developing the sport and the next crop of youngsters then Championship and NL need to be closer or as I said combined
  11. Nothing suits all Some will love watching their team win every week, some will love being entertained with the result secondary Ideal is entertainment and seeing your home team win all the time but this is speedway Not been to Berwick in a long long time in fact it was over 20years ago and their supporters were great Berwick have been unfortunate with injuries so should not be propping up the league in all fairness
  12. Everyone to their own, if speedway is on the tv I'll stay at home with the exception of Cardiff this year as my kids want to go. Most domestic meetings these days are not value for money no matter how you try to compare its "low cost" against other sports
  13. Wednesday next week tho isn't it, got 6 tickets to my daughters school play at 7pm was going to book half day at work do her 2pm performance instead to fit in speedway but perhaps not 😜
  14. Sure you can Siggy, it was a tongue in cheek comment because everyone was going on about the weather when it was clear as day good weather (despite some earlier reports) if it was grey clouds and iffy or nobody was talking weather commments then I wouldn't have said anything. Very few fans on this unofficial forum, no members missing because of one comment, not one person did not attend because of my comment and 99% of people who probably read it are in ipswich and can look at the sky themselves or look at other sources
  15. Different demands from fans however, 3 points is what matters to the club but what matters to some is to be entertained. Not value for money tonight
  16. Smelt nice that vodka but didn't risk trying it 🌞🌞🌞🌞
  17. It was a poor meeting but a few positives to take, Newman finished strong, Sedgman made a pass round the outside, Heeps looked solid again... pretty much as usual for the rest
  18. Done a head count tonight at Foxhall and no missing members of the support who have parted with their hard earned cash all season to support this club 😂
  19. Any weather news its nice in Colchester, I have two hours to decide
