  1. Yes, good to see two full team line ups no guests etc just need decent weather and a good surface hopefully you'll enjoy it (either by great racing or the result 😉)
  2. Its the proper fans that I really feel sorry for, but hopefully I'll read tonight that I've missed a cracker of a meeting and that foxhall was rammed 👊👊👊
  3. I'm not a die hard fan, but I "follow" the club through family links just as I do Leicester and just as I would do Exeter if they ever return. The clubs I follow I like to see do well, but as a non die hard fan I also don't see things through rose tinted glasses, I see it and call it how it is and my opinion is to be respected just like I respect your opinions. If I had no background in promoting, marketing and sport etc I'd probably not moan as much but as this is my background I can relate it to the sport and this isis where it loses every time You will never see me comment about bike set ups etc as I have no mechanical experience Just because you don't agree doesn't mean You can dictate where I post (pop me on ignore) Was raining here in Colchester but stopped now, just dull so hopefully clear up over in Ippo
  4. I've already said I'm not a real fan 😉 those who just "put up" will slowly see their sport die, and if that happens it would be a travesty to all those who have supported the sport over the years. This season has been worse than last season overall
  5. People who can't handle anothers opinion when different from theirs are the ones who should maybe not be on a forum steve Enjoy your evening at Foxhall
  6. As I've said some will LOVE watching their team win every week and get great satisfaction from it, if that's what people like then great, can't complain about how some get their kicks But for me, I'm not entertained enough, it's not all about winning but then again I'm not as die hard as the majority. As long as each individual is happy doing as they please then who can argue, I've always stated my reasons for not going, I'd never tell people not to go just coz of how I feel about the sport.
  7. Steve Exactly my point, you'll go, witches will win comfortably with little passing and you'll have a great night supporting your winning team, nothing wrong with that at all But for me it is not enough, I've given it a chance but due to on track entertainment or lack off plus the way the club alienate spectators then I'll spend my hard earned elsewhere I'd rather do a few gps than league speedway
  8. No Vendetta just not wasting my money on the club, been to several meetings this year and apart from a handful of races generally it's been poor entertainment, I want to feel entertained over winning but some people enjoy winning, some enjoy close racing. Re being generally negative towards everything, if that's the way you want to see it then fine, some people don't like constructive criticism, its not just ipswich its the sport as a complete whole. The way things are done perplex me, deep down I would imagine good intentions are meant but good intentions don't get results, speedway is very much a closed shop with the fans left on the outside. The sport is at its all time low, the powers that be are moving it in the wrong direction because they only think of themselves, sacrifice yourselves to save the sport for the future
  9. My next foxhall appearance will probably be the play offs, not wasting my money on the club like before
  10. I wasn't there so can't comment but Ipswich along with every club in the country could do with more fans through the gate, some clubs more desperate than others tho some clubs are better at alienating their fans better than others as well.
  11. Well mine was MMA so had about 20-25 fights starting at 6pm finishing at 11pm with two intervals of 15 minutes 😂😂 kings Lynn was an embarrassment to the sport but as you say unless fans don't go then nothing will change
  12. Don't have to let them in for free to get 3,000 at Foxhall but they need to give an incentive to attract people. Would also require time and a little investment which will pay out over the future years. I attracted 1500 to my event which is held in a glorified sports hall, tickets were £30-£50 no concession or child rate on average over 3-4 years it was around 1100 still good numbers, I would imagine its similar numbers to foxhall now It cost me £££ to attract new people before I moved to the glorified sports hall I was doing events out of a corporate function hall which held 450. The club won't change now unless they try new things, Whats his name the brand guy suckling isn't the answer after seeing his latest attempt at promotion video wise, if he wasn't responsible for the video then apologies, no doubt there is good will and effort there but I'd play centre forward for arsenal with good will and effort but I'm not going to score any goals I've brought 6 new fans to foxhall this year, 5 only came once, and the other doesn't want to come again after last Thursday's treatment especially after all the money we've spent watching the club this season Shame as I was getting back into my speedway sort of anyway, I've no burning desire to attend next week at this stage either but we shall see
  13. I've done a bit of promoting in my time just laughable how some people get it and some don't I could get 3,000 at foxhall but it wouls be long term gain over short term, does louis want to put the club in the best possible position when he leaves or take the best short term solution? Short term is the answer which you can't blame him for, he's not responsible for the future of the club after his tenure, and its the same with all promotions across the country hence why the sport will ultimately die 👊👊👊
  14. It was posted about 2 hours before the meeting, poor timing, people don't just suddenly decide to go speedway on short notice Its marketed to people on social media who already follow the club, so already know if they are going or not, altho the video acts as a reminder How many were there last night estimated?
  15. Its not just the programme tho, its the overall promotion and not just at chris but those around him, the brand manager put up a video, couldn't read the writing as it changes to the next clip too quickly, said thursday instead of wednesday used words that you shouldn't use in promotion/marketing and so much more Someone questioned the day and the reply was "its says check the website" but the video said thursday people won't check the web site to see if its on Wednesday when you've told them thursday on the video Intentions are good but execution was really poor, if I was a big witches fan I'd be worried about who does what behind the scenes It doesn't sit well with me or look great to new or existing sponsors
  16. Hope a fun night was had by all Kind Regards Michael Fisk
  17. Blue skys here as well and I'm actually in Ipswich right now 😁
