Cardiff GP 2025 Cancelled
pauljb replied to Phil's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Same as, got mine about a month before, front of the top tier on the start finish line, couldn't believe how empty it was -
Like all good plans in British speedway it disappeared down the plughole without a trace, getting worried about you how far did you go back to resurrect this one 😀 😄 😄

MIDLAND DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE 2024
pauljb replied to Speedway fan's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Who is taking this seriously as a league? 3 teams with 2 from the same club, how many riders riding for different clubs in a 3 team league, and the title decider never happened when the brummies could not afford to race their final fixture, unfortunately just sums up the sad state of the sport now -
I reckon it's been about 20 years, the owners retired and no one else took over, a proposed new garden centre never materialised, think there has been one previous planning application for houses until now.

Cash flow issues and they have not raced in a month? Sounds like money owing to riders or unpaid rent maybe?

Bees have announced the team for this challenge, no suprises at number 1 bomber is named as captain, Kyle Howarth and Ben Barker take the other heat leader roles, the Thompson twins, Connor Mountain and Freddy Hodder make up the rest of the septet. Presume the Brummies will have their regular side barring injuries and Mr Morris?
