  1. Errr. When? He wasn't in Peterborough's (or anybody else's) in 2018 or 2017 when they visited Newcastle. The last time I can find Ostergaard at Newcastle was 21/08/2016 when he scored 2+1 from 4 rides. Hardly earth shattering. He may have guested since for someone but I couldn't see or find any instances.
  2. Yes they could simply because Anderson is Danish riding in his home country fixture. Irrelevant now though.
  3. If he's 15 then he ain't allowed. I would suspect there are quite a few others keeping an eye on him. In the meeting in question he never met Max, who was only beaten by Bickley. difficult to make a comparison, but Max's winning times were consistently quicker. Still one to watch in the future.
  4. Afraid not. Points limit doesn't go up until 1st July, so it is currently 38.00 . Since redcar are currently over that limit you only have up to Ben's current Green Sheet average to play with which is 6.90 If you want to make multiple changes to bring in someone higher then your team total after changes must be under 38.00. That said there is nothing to stop you signing someone on a short term contract for 28 days then make further changes when the limit increases to 40 next month.
  5. He is. don't blame the Danes. Everything was signed and sealed. The Danish Motor Union, (equivalent to our BSPA), or whatever they are called, were happy to agree that Jacob could give up his European Grasstrack/ Longtrack commitments to give Newcastle priority. However he was down to ride in a round in Germany today, which he was going to withdraw from, but the Germany Federation said he was contracted to ride and had to turn up otherwise they would appeal to ACU and get him banned from all European (including GB) speedway, grasstrack etc. so he was left with no choice really. Still it will be the only one he will miss as it was only the lateness of his proposed withdrawal that caused the problem.
  6. Especially since it states "early season Friendly Matches". Which there wasn't any!!! (Not with Berwick anyway). Some Journalistic license maybe.
  7. Not quite:- 18.8 FACILITIES A Absent rider (s) 1-3 by MA G or RR B 1 absent rider 4-5 by MA RR (unless RR is already being used then it’s a G) C Both riders 4-5 RR x 1, G x 1 at the Team Managers discretion D Absent 6-7 G So because Doolan is now 3rd in the averages they have the option of a guest or R/R. If he was 4th it would be R/R only. (unless someone else was missing as well). When Matty guested for Pickering, Pickering was 3rd by average and Doolan 4th. They've now swopped around for June.
  8. In this case neither can I as Jedd's average remains unchanged. however you could have the scenario where you sign a rider on a (not assessed) average of 6.5. for whatever reason his average drops to 4.00. you the release him just before his new GS average kicks in and replace him with another 6.00 rider. Then one month later reintroduce him to your side by replacing a 4.00 rider with him. Tho and behold he averages 6.00 again and you've strengthened up without strengthening up.
  9. Maybe he just read the good bits. Only joking Steve
  10. Yes the points limit increases to 40 with effect from 01st July. Been that way since the beginning of the season.
  11. I know, but Bailey is on a 2.00 and List is always a minimum 4.00. They are using guests for Bailey until the limit goes up to 40 (from 38). Hopefully, for them, their team limit won't be over 38 (including Bailey's 2.00) otherwise they won't be able to fit him in. Part of me (for Jedd's sake) hopes they can, but the other part hopes they'll be over!!
  12. Not yet he hasn't. they can't fit him in until the limit goes up on 01st July (unless they've dropped somebody else).
  13. I wouldn't say that. The exit out of bend 2 was always far too narrow for the track size/ shape. I can't count how many crashes I've seen there. Would have liked to have seen the airfence extended there by another two panels but that would have made it below regulation width. That said I'm sorry to see the destruction of another speedway track.
  14. His effective team building average for 2017 was 5.00, though he hasn't rode since 2016, so I would expect that to be unchanged. His ACTUAL average for 2016 was 1.6. So no thank you (even if he did fit, which he doesn't.
  15. The cut-off date is the 23rd of each month, so Newcastle have had 4 fixtures since the 23rd of April (Leicester Home and Away and Glasgow Home and Away). Riders will drop their oldest four match scores from last season to be replaced with the latest four. I've lost track of how many matches are included in the rolling averages. It depends how the scores/rides that are dropped compared to scores/rides added as to whether the average will go up or down.
  16. Simple solution. he has an established premiership avg therefore that should take preference irrespective what league he is in next year. Premiership 5.63. Championship 5.63 x 1.6 = 9.00. The points limit should be 42 ish for both leagues. The current system is supposed to try and reduce doubling up/ down but it'll never work as long as riders have a seperate average in each league.
  17. Well he would fit (3.79) for Simon, but one has to wonder why no one else has considered him.
  18. It's still two possibly three blank sunday's regardless of where we are the night before or at Peterborough or not. It wouldn't be that bad if we hadn't had three blank Sundays late April/May.
  19. Maybe so. He's actually had almost as much track time as the rest of the team. lol. There have been too many blank Sundays ( three in the last six weeks) for our newbies to get properly dialled in. I would have hoped to see some of them out after the main meeting practising, and trying to sort out some of the issues they are having, but that hasn't happened. Another week off next week, then next month there is at least two possibly three blank Sundays. It's crazy having so many blank dates this early in the season. Then in July and August there are no spare dates meaning if we have any rain-offs we'll be struggling to get the matches in before the cut-off.
