So....isn't the thread title Peterborough Panthers 2019 ? Seems more like a 'wordsmiths convention' to date.......any Boro craic at all???

The thing is those who dislike the sport don't see it as a four lap race..........first away always wins is their view.....oh and... they only go round in circles is another wind up...

And there, in bold, you describe the very reason that Speedway remains such a minority sport.................the Rugby fans at DP (no soccer there as yet)are always winding me up as to why I also watch speedway- invariably/consistently/boringly/asking me "did the rider who got to the first bend in the lead win many races?".......it's ok from outsiders who will never likely be converted......but it's sad when a proper speedway fan also finds it boring.....I think gating is a refined skill and not to be knocked.

A new stadium is to be built for RL and Soccer..with no speedway track...and Derwent Park to be demolished...this is going to happen in the next 2 yrs.....

To be fair though I think the racing itself was a tad better than the scoreline indicates.....and it was nice to see so many fans on the popular side terracing...usually unpopular....Derwent Park is a good stadium to host this excellent sport and it will be sad to see the old place demolished...really

St. Helens RLFC topped their RL table with ease and were given the League Leaders Shield....a nice trophy......they never made play off final.....sadly IMO.... Sky rule/ruin this sport too.

RE THE FOUR OPTIONS OFFERED ON THE WORKINGTON SPEEDWAY WEBSITE....... ....following Saturdays washout I see the Comets Management have listed 4 ways of using our Double-header tickets........ Well I'm going to take... OPTION 5.....that is to pay for each meeting I attend and hope it helps keep the Comets afloat for a while longer. (yep silly old git eh)....
